IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOUNDS OR LINIMENTS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 146,199, dated January 6, 1874 application filed December 20, 1873. i
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWIN W. OBER, of the city of Albany, county of Albany and State of New York, have invented a certain Compound to be used externally for the relief of pain in cases of rheumatism, neuralgia, headache, toothache, burns, bruises, strains, &c., of which the following is a specification: The nature of the invention consists in compounding, in the following proportion, one gallon linseed-oil, two ounces oil of cedar, two ounces oil of Sassafras, two ounces oil of origa num, two ounces oil of hemlock, half ounce oil of spike, one ounce oil of Wormwood, one ounce ether, four ounces gum camphor, and four ounces ammonia.
