Abstract

FIELD: medicine, gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: proposed substance is an aqueous solution of high-molecular polyethylene glycol and electrolytes. Oral dose of 2 l solution provides the complete removal of intestine content for 5-6 hr. Substance exhibits good organoleptic qualities and does not cause disturbance in aqueous-electrolyte metabolism. Method is used for preparing large intestine for diagnostic and surgery procedures. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of substance.

Claims (1)

Предложено вещество для общего промывания желудочно-кишечного тракта как подготовки толстой кишки к диагностическим и оперативным вмешательствам, представляющее собой водный раствор высокомолекулярного полиэтиленгликоля и электролитов. Пероральный прием 2 л раствора обеспечивает полное удаление содержимого кишечника в течение 5 - 6 ч. Вещество имеет удовлетворительные органолептические качества, не вызывает нарушений водно-электролитного обмена.A substance is proposed for general washing of the gastrointestinal tract as a preparation of the colon for diagnostic and surgical interventions, which is an aqueous solution of high molecular weight polyethylene glycol and electrolytes. Oral administration of 2 l of the solution ensures complete removal of intestinal contents within 5-6 hours. The substance has satisfactory organoleptic qualities and does not cause disturbances in water-electrolyte metabolism.
