The invention relates to medicine, in particular to the field of skin and sexually transmitted diseases and can be used to treat onychomycosis.

There is a method of treating onychomycosis, including oral administration of antifungal agents, for example, lamisil, against the background of vitamin therapy in combination with external use of bathrafen (Mashkillayson A.L. et al. Skin and venereal diseases. M., Medicine, 1986. - 256 p.).

The disadvantages of the method are the duration and insecurity of treatment.

The purpose of the invention is to reduce treatment time, increase patient safety and expand the arsenal of onychomycosis treatment agents.

The goal is achieved by the fact that against the background of antifungal and vitamin therapy, an alcoholic solution of phytolone is applied to the nail plate.

Fitolon - developed by the Research Institute of Pulmonology, the Research Institute of Oncology named after Prof. N.N. Petrova, LLC Fitolon.

Its active principle is copper derivatives of chlorophyll in the composition of the lipid plant complex.

The drug is an immunomodulator (interferon inducer), antioxidant, antiseptic, highly effective antiviral and hematopoietic agent.

Fitolon increases the body's resistance to influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and other viral infections, prevents complications, and shortens the recovery period.

Phytolon is included in the list of therapeutic and prophylactic agents recommended for the prevention of influenza and SARS (Order of the Health Committee of the Administration of St. Petersburg and the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of St. Petersburg No. 375-r / 30 of 10.10.2002) In the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 96/85 dated 12/01/97, phytolone is recommended as a means for the prevention and comprehensive treatment of precancerous and oncological diseases.

The method is implemented as follows. Twice a day against the background of traditional anti-onychomycosis treatment, one drop of an alcoholic solution of phytolone is applied to each affected nail plate; the course of treatment continues until the entire plate of the newly emerging nail is without signs of damage. To consolidate the results of treatment, it is enough to continue the procedure once a day for a week.

Observations were carried out for 5 patients for six months. The positive effect of the application of the method is to enhance the therapeutic effect of anti-onchomycosis drugs, in the persistent elimination of the pathological process on the nails. Improving the safety of patients during treatment with the proposed method is achieved by eliminating antifungal drugs taken previously orally from the complex treatment.

We present clinical observations.

Patient K., 38 years old, was observed for onychomycosis of the nail plates of the I fingers of both feet. Suffers from a disease throughout the year. Treatment:

lamisil - 0.25 1 tablet once a day;

multivitamins "Leviticum" - 1 tablet 3 times a day;

phytolone alcohol solution - on the nail plate 1 drop 2 times a day.

The course of treatment lasted 50 days until the manifestations of the disease disappeared. To consolidate the result of treatment - during the week, one drop of solution on the nail plate 1 time per day. During follow-up examinations after 6 and 12 months, no relapse of the disease was detected.
