Description
(1)ランセット(lancet)をより直線的な経路に沿って皮膚内に出し入れし、これによって、痛みの刺激をもたらす経皮神経の刺激を軽減すること。
(2)突刺装置の深さ制御を行うことにより、ユーザが、十分な血液の絞り出しと痛みの程度とを釣り合わせることができるようにすること。
さらに、ランセットの製造業者は、さまざまなランセット寸法、ランセット長さ、及びランセット先端斜面パターンを提供し、一部の製造業者は、自社のランセットが他社のランセットよりも痛みが少ないことを主張している。
