Abstract

L'invention décrit l'obtention d'un bouillon de fermentation de Xanthomonas, contenant de la gomme de xanthane produite par cette bactérie, et l'utilisation du bouillon ou de la gomme pour la récupération du pétrole. On soumet à une fermentation aérobie du Xanthomonas dans un milieu nutritif aqueux comportant un hydrate de carbone, une source de N2 , un acide assimilable du cycle de Krebs, du calcium chélaté et des oligo-éléments. On peut utiliser le bouillon entier, (contenant environ 100 à 3000 ppm de la gomme celloïdale, et n'ayant pas de matière insoluble dont les particules ont plus de trois microns), comme solution de réglage de la mobilité pour une récupération secondaire de pétrole.
