Abstract

Procédé de fermentation pour la préparation d'une matière vivante microbienne et d'un biopolymère à base d'hétéropolysaccharide. Ce procédé comprend le fait de cultiver au moins une souche d'une bactérie du groupe Méthylomonas utilisant le méthane et formant un biopolymère hétéropolysaccharide extracellulaire dans un bouillon renfermant un milieu nutritif aqueux et une source d'azote utilisable, en présence d'un gaz renfermant du méthane comme source de carbone et d'un gaz renfermant de l'oxygène libre, et le fait de prélever du bouillon ainsi cultivé la matière vivante et le biopolymère hétéropolysaccharide. Application de la matière vivante comme aliment et du polymère comme agent épaississant, par exemple dans l'industrie alimentaire ou dans l'industrie petrolière, notamment pour des boues de forages et pour améliorer l'extraction de dépôts souterrains ou de gisements de pétrole.
