Abstract

Title cpds. of formula (I): where -N(R1,R2) = dialkylamino(1-4C), pyrrolidino, piperidino, morpholino or perhydroazepino; R3 and R4 = H, halogen, hydroxy or (1-4C)alkoxy; R3 may be same as R4, or R3 + R4 = methylenedioxy; n = 2 or 3; are prepd. by reducing a cpd. (I; CH2-CH2-CH is CH=CH-CO) and where R3 and R4 can also be -ONa or -OK; with 4 mole of a Na- or K-borohydride and 4 more pyridine in alcohol. (I) have dilatory, hypotensive, diuretic, spasmolytic, sedative, analgesic, anti-angiostensic and anti-hypotensive activity and may be used in the treatment of circulation disorders, hypertension, oedema, various cramps, excited conditions, and pains, esp. those caused by inflammations, allergies and peptic ulcer.
