Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para producir una escoria metálica (1) en una fundición metálica (2) en un horno metalúrgico (3), en el cual se introduce en el horno (3) cuando menos un óxido metálico y una mezcla que contiene carbono, en donde por debajo de la escoria (1) que se encuentra allí el óxido metálico se reduce a través del carbono y los gases que se forman durante la reducción forman burbujas en la escoria, con lo cual la escoria se vuelve espumosa. Para optimizar la formación de espuma, de acuerdo con la invención se prevé que la adición de la mezcla (4) en el horno (3) se realice de tal forma que se forme o se mantenga una altura (h) deseada o un rango de altura (h) deseado de la capa de la escoria espumosa.
