Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a metodos para producir particulas solidas, sustancialmente redondas, esfericas y sinterizadas a partir de una suspension espesa de una materia prima calcinada, no calcinada o parcialmente calcinada que tiene un contenido de alumina mayor que aproximadamente 40 por ciento en peso. La suspension espesa es procesada con metodos de secado por pulverizacion en particulas solidas, sustancialmente redondas, esfericas y sinterizadas que tienen un tamano de particula promedio mayor que aproximadamente 200 micras, una densidad aparente mayor que aproximadamente 1.40 g/cc y una densidad relativa, aparente mayor que aproximadamente 2.60.
