Unlawful 46-day cancellation policy and artificial barriers for consumers
I am writing this review to highlight the customer-unfriendly and legally incorrect practices of Vimexx regarding subscription cancellations for individual consumers.
My domain registration (vishranti.nl) was set to end on September 8th. On August 5th — well within the statutory 1-month notice period for consumers under Dutch law (Wet van Dam / Art. 7:464 BW) — I requested to cancel the service.
Vimexx flatly refused to process the cancellation. They insist they are in the right, hiding behind an internal company rule that requires a 46-day advance notice (before July 25th). According to Vimexx, missing their internal deadline automatically locks you into a mandatory full-year extension. However, imposing a notice period longer than one month on a consumer is legally invalid.
On top of that, Vimexx creates artificial barriers that make it practically impossible to dispute this fairly:
In their client portal, selecting the end date of the current contract period is blocked before their internal deadline has passed.
When paying the invoice, you are forced to re-agree to their general terms and conditions; otherwise, the payment cannot even be processed.
To avoid unjust debt-collection pressure, administrative hassle, and unnecessary stress, I was forced to pay the invoice strictly under protest via their support ticket system.
It is ridiculous that Vimexx stubbornly prioritizes its own internal policies over statutory consumer rights, leaving customers financially cornered.
Desired outcome:
I expect Vimexx to stop applying this illegal 46-day notice period to consumers, refund the invoice paid under protest, and correctly process the cancellation as of the original contract end date.
Extremely unreliable hosting, persistent outages, and completely absent support
My experience with Vimexx has been profoundly disappointing and raises serious concerns about the reliability of their services. If Trustpilot allowed zero stars, that would be the appropriate rating.
For several days my website has been affected by continuous 502 errors, making it inaccessible and unusable. Throughout this period, Vimexx has provided no meaningful communication, no status updates, and no explanation of the underlying issue. Customers are left without transparency or guidance, which is unacceptable for any hosting provider.
In addition, Vimexx enforces a custom WordPress add‑on that consistently introduces errors and instability. Instead of improving performance, it actively breaks core functionality and complicates troubleshooting. A hosting company should not deploy tools that degrade the very websites they are supposed to support.
The most concerning aspect, however, is the complete absence of customer service. I submitted a support ticket three months ago, and to this day I have not received a single response. No follow‑up, no clarification, not even a basic acknowledgment. This level of neglect is far below industry standards and demonstrates a fundamental failure in customer care.
Vimexx markets itself as a dependable hosting provider, but my experience shows the opposite: unstable infrastructure, flawed tools, and non‑existent support. Based on these long‑term issues, I strongly advise others to avoid Vimexx entirely.
Watch out for the domain 'subscription' model
Where it is common in the whole hosting industry to renew domains a month ahead, they now start locking your domain and sending invoices almost 2 months ahead.
It was one of the better hosting companies in NL... till 5 years ago.

Very bad services
If I could rate them lower, I would.
They become more and more expensive every year.
When trying to cancel of of my products, according to the Dutch consumers law (Wet van Dam) that states, they come up with their own rules, breaking the Dutch laws.
They customer services did not want to even consider my request think of an alternative solutiongood for both parties, simply point to their FAQ.
I will just move to a different provider with my remaining domains and advice no one to come to this get a domain or host a website at this company

Scamming company
Scamming company. They are practicing anti consumer behaviors and entrapping without notice. They do not send notification of the renewed subscription(which renewed before 1 year even passed - I was under the impression that you buy a domain for 1 year). They increase the price significantly without notice or clear statement in advance. Then they do not collaborate to end that subscription if you do not want to continue with them.

The renewal pricing is communicated in…
The renewal pricing is communicated in advance of purchase and applies from the next term onwards. -- they said to me in a reply and it is a full on lie. The last email from them that I received before they billed me without giving me the option to unsubscribe and without telling in advance that I was subscribed (which is in fact illegal practice)
Well that last email said that there are price changes across the whole platform. Just that. Not what my new price is, not how that would affect me, nothing like that. And it was over half a year ago. This is deceitful practice and ACM will be consulted about this.

Refused refund when generator delivered damaged and broken
The generator arrived danagwd with aux pin broke, the connection inside generator lose and generator only working if I sat holding it in one place. Company refused to refund and cheekily suggested I was too heavy handed taking connection cable out-although item clearly damaged in transit. There site says 30 day satisfaction guarantee which is a lie. Please do not use this company as their products are questionable and their costumer services shocking!! I will take this matter further as they will not steal £100 oh me!!!
Good luck all⭐
NEVER buy your domain here!
A year ago I bought my domain here for less than €1, until yesterday I really had a great experience but apparently you need to cancel your domain 46 days before expiration otherwise they still bill you.
I got a bill for €30 and if you don't pay they take legal actions. This is such an unfortunate event since they can just email you saying that your time is almost running out if you want to cancel.
I guess they are not doing this because they are being greedy. I already removed my account and will never buy from Vimexx again.

Scam dont trust them
Scam dont trust them. they give free domains with your domain of 50 cent and then change the price to 50 euros on all of them
Automatic renewment
Automatic renewment, with domain 100 times the price you paid the first year
horrible company would not recommend
horrible company would not recommend, they would actively steal your domain and demand 1000% the cost just to get the domain back
Incomplete and delayed information, and prolonged response times.
We have been using Vimexx’s services regularly for the past two years. However, for the last week, we have been experiencing continuous errors and problems.
Initially, our mail hosting was blocked due to an alleged spam script on a website that was actually inactive. This issue was resolved by our external IT manager. However, he stated that such an action would not have been possible without authorization from the system owners.
Later on, a different email address started sending spam emails, as if it had been hacked. We realized this through the delivery failure and feedback emails we received. When we later investigated the issue, there was no indication that it was caused by user activity. We changed the password, but the problem continued in the same way. It appeared as if the newly updated password was being directly exposed or shared within the system.
As a result, we carried out additional fundamental security and system adjustments on our side. Nevertheless, either due to lack of awareness or deliberate delay, approximately half a day after the issue had already been resolved, Vimexx employees once again blocked the mail hosting, claiming that spam emails were being sent. This action was taken on a Friday, just before the end of business hours.
Now, two days have passed, and despite the fact that we have provided all required information and completed the necessary correspondence, the block has still not been lifted.
At this point, it seems there may be an internal issue within the company or among a specific group of employees. We sincerely hope this will be the last incident. Otherwise, if this situation continues, we will be forced to move all of our hosting services elsewhere.
Year 2: Not a pleasant experience
Signing on seemed a breeze, they even offered me a .site website for free. Last year I had tried to move my domain a few times but struggled to do it. Roll on this year I have been told that it was automatically renewed 45 days before expiry date and to top it off it will cost me a ridiculous amount for the year. This is madness. My other hosting site tells me when my sites are going to expire and then I get to renew it. I had no warning, just a bill.
Worst service ever
I bought a domain with them iver.it i…
I bought a domain with them iver.it i searched the availability, chose it, and paid the money, but they didn't deliver. Because I was suspicious, I checked the availability, and the domain became unavailable. They just did not deliver, and after a couple of messages with customer service, they told me you have transferred the domain, you did not buy it. i went through the whole process; it was not my first time buying, and from then till now, this domain became unavailable and gone. They did not even refund. They put the money on their dashboard, and I asked for a withdrawal, but nothing has happened yet. Be careful, if they like your domain, they probably take it themselves and tell you you were transferring the domain you don't have
Obtuse extension policies
Obtuse extension policies. Extending your subscription 45 days before expiration date and with an unhelpful customer service. The price of subscription has grown 200% since I got my domain as well.
Very tricky extension practices
Very tricky extension practices. Can only cancel 45 days prior to extension date. They don't send a reminder. And the extension comes with a massive price hike.
When raising a ticket about this (at day 44 prior to extension), there is no flexibility and a reasonably unfriendly suggestion of "go check the policies on our website".
These are extortionate practices, and would never recommend doing business with them.
The chance that you loose your domain…
The chance that you loose your domain name if registered with Vimexx and transfer it to a different registrar, is huge. Warning, avoid these guys.
Unexpected surprise when your domain is extended 45-day prior end-date
Unexpected surprise when your domain is extended 45-day prior end-date. When you have a debate over this, they mention that they don't want to have the risk themself that the extension is made and it won't be paid by their customers .
Come-on I've already give them by bank-account details for automatic payment. Furthermore, why other registrars are able to do it in less than a month. If feels that they try to lock you in earlier (for a much higher extension fee!)
I don't like theses kind of practices. Therefore i rate this company untrustworthy and i moved all my services to an open and trustworthy domain provider (in case you want to know ... mijn.host)
