very easy web page, good products, good prices

Quick delivery, good prices. I've been ordering food for our cats for a few years now, and so I've even run into a couple of problems. I'm happy to report that their customer service seemed quite competent and responsive.

This review serves as a serious warning to pet owners regarding the quality control of ZooRoyal pet food products. On January 2, 2026, I purchased canned dog food sold at a Billa store in Graz, Austria. The product promised high quality and safety standards on its packaging. However, after opening the can and serving the food, I discovered a foreign object inside—a solid, non-edible item that clearly does not belong in animal feed.

The presence of such a foreign body represents a significant safety and quality failure and poses a potential risk to animal health. This kind of contamination should never occur and strongly suggests deficiencies in the production or packaging process. What is even more concerning is that after reporting the incident and submitting a formal complaint, my claim was ignored and no meaningful response was provided.

Pet owners trust manufacturers to meet basic safety standards. Finding a foreign object in pet food, combined with the lack of adequate customer support, seriously undermines that trust. I strongly advise anyone purchasing ZooRoyal products to carefully inspect the contents before feeding them to their animals.

The safety of pets should never be compromised by poor quality control or inadequate handling of consumer complaints. Until these issues are addressed transparently and responsibly, caution is strongly recommended.

Lots of choices and a very fast delivery!

Poor customer service, they hide the return procedure to make it tricky, fail to refund you the returned good and making you wait, and wait and wait...
They practice high price policy, while playing discount codes, but still, they are far more expensive than most other pet retailers.
Never again.

I always buy from Zooroyal because I never had any problems with delivery. Die Bestellungen kamen immer schnell.

I have been buying cat litter from ZooRoyal for a few months now. Since they had run out of my usual cat litter, I bought the Tigroo. It was the worst cat litter I've used in the past 6 years, almost no smell blocking, not properly clumping, instead sticking all over. However, the bad product is not the reason I am writing this review. The reason I'm writing this review is that the litter had a good score on the website and there was no way for me to write about my own experience with the litter. This made me completely lose trust with the shop. I don't plan to buy from there anymore.

They do not answer the phone, waiting time too long- they do not answer my email, even though I write that it is urgent- they have taken my payment, that they did very quickly 😡

I ordered a cat dry food about 2 week ago. And my order is not delivered, yet. I emailed them twice, and didn't get any feedback or answer from them.
So I called them, but the customer service didn't know English. But I tried to make her understand my problem. She said I have to wait till they answer my email.
And the link they sent me after the ordering to track my order on DHL website is not working.
Still nothing from their side. And I don't know what else I should do.

Wie immer alles richtig und die Lieferung kam schnell an. Ich bestelle gerne bei ZooRoyal, da die Auswahl an Diabetes Katzenfutter in den meisten Läden nicht sehr groß ist.

Edit: I am surprised by the number of one star reviews! As of now I have ordered multiple times and never had any issue with ZooRoyal. I always get an email to confirm my order and another one once the package is shipped. Everything arrived super fast, only my very first order took up to a week. I highly suggest that you order directly from the website and not some random ebay store. I am really sorry to everybody who had issues with them :(

I don't know if they work with scammer or not
I bought some dog food from eBay and paid for it. After a month, we received a final notice from a debt collector that we have debt with zooroyal. We contacted them and found out that the seller on eBay did not pay zooroyal and now zooroyal wants their money from us. zooroyal told us to go to police to get a report that we have been scammed and we went to police twice and the police said zooroyal has to go to police because we paid for the goods and we received it. We have not been scammed, but zooroyal is the one that is scammed and has not got paid. They said the police does not know what they are talking about and did not delete the charges. They said we are also not first people, so I am not sure if Zooroyal is actually working with the scammers or not! I don't even have an invoice from them.
Either way, I will never buy from them.
I put the Verwendungszweck as order number because i dont even have a order number or anything from them.

Items delivered on time and well packaged. They have a great selection on their website, my cat food was cheaper than on Amazon which was good. I will order again.

My order got returned to ZooRoyal without my permission or knowledge. I didn’t even got a mail or any kind of note that told me my order was returned. I found it because I was wondering were my order was. After asking ZooRoyal support how I can get my order back since I didn’t agree to return it. They said I have to order all the stuff again instead of just sending my already placed and payed order back. So no I won’t ever buy from ZooRoyal again since they cost me a lot of time with no results and just didn’t care to help me.

I tried a few different times, but always with issues: the connection with Paypal didn't work so we didn't know you paid, or delivery by DHL got messed up, or one packet lost ... Always excuses, and it is never their fault, they always push back to third party partners. And I never got a discount/ rebate or money back for when it went terribly wrong... As long as they don't care about how they customer experience their process, they won't have me as a customer anymore :(

I usually order my cat’s food and supplies on one of following 3 stores, all of which I strongly recommend:

Bitiba – usually has the cheapest prices (it’s like the low cost store of zooplus), delivery in 2 days
Zooplus – good prices, delivery in 2 days, nice loyalty program where you get free small goodies for your pets
Fressnapf – mostly good prices, very good own brand Premiere, very good customer service, delivery in 2 days


This time I wanted to buy a new food from the brand Mac’s and, at the time, the cheapest price I found was at Zooroyal (now it’s cheaper at Zooplus), so I ordered from them for the first time.

I already knew the store from advertising because they belong to the REWE group, the online supermarket I use, so I didn’t read reviews before buying (my bad…).

I paid with paypal and the goods showed as available so I expected to receive them in 2 days, like it happens with the other pet food stores.

With the other stores, I usually get an email the same day or maximum the day afterwards informing me that the goods were shipped but with Zooroyal I didn’t get any email.

I ordered on a friday and the next thursday (6 days later) I decided to check the DHL website to see what was wrong. It showed that Zooroyal only packed the goods (created an electronic stamp) on wednesday (5 days after ordering) and that they still hadn’t brought it to DHL.

So I sent an email to Zooroyal informing what was written on the DHL website and asking what was wrong. To which I got this answer “Your tracking number is xxxx. You can follow it on the DHL website”. Awful customer service, she obviously didn’t even read my email. So I replied saying that I did check the DHL website (“please do read my previous email”) and asking again what was going on.

Later that day I got a message from DHL saying that the package was finally brought to DHL (I wonder if I hadn’t written the E-mail…). So I should be finally getting it today (8 days after ordering).

8 days to get cat food is unacceptable. That’s the delivery time when you order something from the UK (sometimes even comes sooner)….

And this doesn’t seem to be an isolated case as I saw online that many people experienced the same huge delivery times.

So I probably won’t order from this website again (unless I absolutely have to for some reason) and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
