Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 1,982 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently pointed out unexpected price increases, numerous hidden fees, and ongoing billing discrepancies that made managing their monthly statements very difficult. People also complained about excessively long wait times on the phone and unhelpful support agents who struggled to resolve simple service or network problems. Some reviewers were happy with the staff, noting that certain in-store employees were exceptionally patient, polite, and professional when handling device issues. A few other people also felt that individual representatives provided great assistance with phone setups, account questions, and finding the right plans.

Dishonest business practices

Beware that this company engages in deceptive business practices!
When I ordered my services I was told that the quoted price included fees and taxes. And that if I signed up for auto pay I would receive additional $20 per month discount.
When I got my bill I found out that the price quoted does not include taxes and fees. You can only get the monthly discount if you use a debit card or bank account and it is not $20 but is in fact $15!

TMobile is TMaybe.

TMobile is TMaybe.. maybe they won't lie to you, maybe they will do what they say, maybe they will give you your refund (which you were told you were getting from day one of requesting to return everything), maybe they won't waste your time lying to you about a refund.. maybe they will actually escalate items (over 20 hrs on the phone in 1.5 months with only 1 escalation number 2321308006) and maybe they won't disconnect from you when you ask for corporates information. HAPPENED TWICE TODAY..ONCE BY A REP AND ONCE BY A SUPERVISOR. Leading to multiple repeating ones self and another 2hrs wasted today to get told.. everyone prior lied to you. And I won't be getting my refund... returned everything like asked and unfortunately it was all for not... so don't waste your time and money on TMaybe..err Mobile.. cause maybe they know what they talk about.. but more than likely they won't.. and absolutely no customer service.. if nothing else this incident proved why I'm glad I never went to T Maybe.. maybe another class action soon.. see if this has happened alot or not. And at this point it isn't even about the money refund promised/owed to me, but mere principle. Hope this helps anyone who was on the fence of going to them.. Don't!!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND

I thought I was going to be starting my own line. Got set up with customer support, ended up with a promised free iphone 15 for starting and a $60 a month phone bill. I then got in contact with customer support again, questioned why I was not offered the Iphone 17 like the ads on tv and their website state. Now I did not really care about which phone I had, but if I could have the more up to date one, I would. Customer support redirected me to higher up, who simply stated I can take the iphone 15 to the t-mobile store, they would switch it and i would walk out with it same day. I was happy, felt like closed mouths don’t get fed and glad I spoke up. Once the guy at the counter was able to look at my account. He reported that not only was the online care support member incorrect, but that when i made my account they messed up my account by not already switching the phone number and other things mentioned. I called the support line to ask why I was mislead about being able to switch to the 17, and that my account was messed up. The lady on the phone was stating that she had been working there for 10-15 years so she would in fact be knowledgeable. In my head I was thinking, finally, I will get some real answers. Verbally thanked her, but she still continued with an attitude. I understood, I was frustrated and probably came across that way, but I was thanking her for her assistance and help. Continuing the bluntness, she told me why I was ineligible for the iphone 17, is that I was coming from a family plan that was switched to t-mobile from us cellular. I asked to confirm, so even though I was leaving my family plan, and could go to any service out there to start my OWN plan , i do not qualify as a new customer? She sassed me back "you clearly didn't understand me, so i am going to say it again" and repeated herself. I found it very rude because like I said, I had been with both customer support online and in person and they were all telling me different things. Of course I was going to confirm. I then asked her to about the account being “messed up” like the guy in the store has stated. She reports it isn’t messed up and said I would need my family plan phone number to be “released” and then it would be eligible to be switched. I was relieved but she continued with sass so then I confirmed that I would be able to discontinue my contact because Idid read the contract, and she did change up her tone and reported that “yes a buyers remorse clause is in the contact” I thanked her and hung up. I was mislead, i didn't feel comfortable addressing my other concerns with this lady on the phone at this time. Concerns being that I reviewed my "bill" see a $20 additional service for phone protection that the person who sold me the contract reported I would be able to remove it from the app. Was unable to find that option but then i noticed that the "free iphone " was showing a monthly credit of half of the bill. Before i signed i told them i am seeing a monthly bill for the phone , the original lady reported the credits could cover it, and that is not what i ended up seeing to be factual. Even still I continued. We released my number as customer service said, and then a different customer support was now telling me that i needed either pay for 2 lines to keep the free iphone and have my #, OR pay for the phone to have my number back. I was fed up at this point feeling like this company is a scam. I was done. I went back to the t-mobile store, informed the same guy that I had saw the other day of why I was ending my contact. He didn't even seem to be surprised by the online team being misleading and not having answers. Which says a lot in its self. He tells me i need to pay him more money that he states is the taxes from my initial payment and my contract would be void. I pay the fee without putting up a stink just to get the whole thing over with. He then tells me i just have to turn off the line and provided a phone number. I call again… The girl was apologetic to hear why i was leaving but then also said there was yet another fee to pay. I informed her i already paid and she states it was another fee. I wanted to cry and scream at this point. She was able to help me and my god, I hope she actually knew what she was doing and able to do what she said. The whole experience shows me that your company needs to reevaluate who is working and give them an updated training course on not only how to assist with customers, but be taught what your company facts are so people don't get caught in the hoops i did. My family was switched to t-mobile from us cellular and i don't think they will be staying long because of how i was treated as well. I hope you are able to take this seriously and fix whatever needs to be fixed for someone else. Getting started with a new plan is already hard enough without having to jump through hoops to get a single answer.

Complain

About a year ago, I accidentally made an international call, and I paid the charge, since it was my mistake. After that, I called Tim Móvel and asked them to block international calls on my line to prevent it from happening again. They told me the block was in place. Recently, I unintentionally dialed an international number again, but the call went through. So, the block wasn’t actually active, and now I’m facing another charge. As a customer, I’m really disappointed because I trusted the information I was given. I hope Tim will look into my case carefully and offer a fair solution, and that this kind of request is truly applied, so other customers don’t go through the same situation.

T-mobile is the worst cell phone…

T-mobile is the worst cell phone company EVER!!! BRING BACK SPRINT at this point. No one knows nothing . You have a few people that listens but other than that no. They don't honor what they say even with screen shots to prove it. They are taking advantage of people . One person say you owe this call back another say you owe that . No consistency or ownership if a mistake is made

TERRIBLE

If this review would allow me to, I would leave zero stars. This is the worst company I’ve had to deal with, I have called on multiple occasions because I returned their equipment and decided not to get their Internet services and I have had nothing but problems can’t get them to cancel it threatening me that my bills are past due and then my account has been suspended for nonpayment so I thought we had this worked out yesterday. Well now they reopened all the account and all I’m after is to get it canceled and get away from this company for the rest of my life do not use this company. They are terrible to deal with and do not care about the customers. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau if they do not get my situation straightened out quickly.

T-Mobile is the absolute worst

I have been trying to close a client's account for 5 months and each time the rep tells me it's closed, then we get charged again. I paid off the phone entirely for them and was told we wouldn't get charged again but we keep getting charged every month. Every single time I call I just get passed around and then asked for a supervisor and the rep hung up on me. I will NEVER recommend T-Mobile to anyone. Their customer service is trash

RUN, RUN, RUN with all your might

Everything....

Retail store is completely disconnected from customer service yet they will quickly refer you to them to get you out of their hair. Customer service refuses to help because they're disconnected from the store! For me, the entire experience was garbage. Unfortunately, I will never leave AT&T for this type of carrying on. AT&T does listen & attempt to help a little, this company doesn't care at all.

I was a customer for more than 10…

I was a customer for more than 10 years, but my patience finally ran out.
Their customer service ad states they are available 24/7. This is a LIE!
I used to be able to reach US support, but that was no longer possible after several calls, and I was rerouted to customer support in the Philippines. Most of them aren't too smart! E.g. On a few occasions I ran out of hotspot data allotment and wanted to pay for additional 15 gigs for $10. I made it clear to the Philippines rep that this was a one-time addition and ended at the end of the current billing cycle. What happened at 1 second after midnight of a billing cycle, I no longer had any data whatsoever! Consequently, I had to wait till 6:00 a.m. local time to be able to reach customer support to correct this error. I'm a night owl, I live in the boonies and have to rely on the hotspot in order to communicate with my Roku Express in order to stream.
Philippines csrs are available after US support closes, and is usually available till 2:00 a.m. local time. On another occasion, I called 611 at 12:30 a.m. and was placed on hold until 1:00 a.m. when the automated system came online and told me that I had reached them after hours. WTF!
Sometime later, when I called 611, I couldn't even reach Philippine support during normal daylight hours! I had to communicate with TMO through X and was told to DM them. I informed them that the symbol for DM was not visible on my phone. The clowns at TMO were not aware that this symbol had changed.
The only other way to communicate was through Facebook, which I don't want and don't have.
On one occasion, the TMO CSR wanted to sign me up for their home internet for $35/mo. When I told him I lived in the middle of nowhere and that service was not available, after checking availability, he replied, yes it is. I said sign me up. He replied that there were only so many slots available for my area and that they were all taken! This is typical TMO INCOMPETENCE! I told him to put me on the waiting list.
It was my good luck that one time when I was communicating on X, I listed my cell number, and a good samaritan half the country away, called me, and through a 45 minute conversation informed me that I should check out US Mobile, which I did. Turns out this new MVNO is listed by Consumer Reports as the best carrier, and when I checked Trustpilot, they rated it 4.7 stars!
This company lets you choose any of the three major providers with either an ESIM or a physical SIM for a
MUCH LOWER RATE than dealing with those carriers directly. I'm not saying that everything went smoothly. E.g. After I loaded the physical SIM, my phone didn't populate the APN (Access Point Names) info completely, and I had to make a few additional entries. After that, the phone functioned normally.
Also, if you need help on a phone call, be prepared to wait. However, communicating via text to CSRs in Pakistan is right there without any waiting. Sometimes a supervisor is necessary.
My last communication with TMO in order to get a transfer out number, the CSR offered a discount to my normal charge plus additional hotspot data allotment. I told him the only way I would stay was if they paid me the same as what they charged me for a year!
Aside from lowering my monthly bill, one of the carriers that I had chosen has no limit on hotspot data!
Now, when I see a commercial for one of the major carriers, I laugh.
DON'T FALL FOR THE BS IN THESE COMMERCIALS!
BTW, if you need / want a router, even a mobile one, that's available.
My apologies for this long-winded
TMO complaint, but after 10 years it needs more than a simple / typical
one.

I wish I could give NO stars name is…

I wish I could give NO stars name is Kimberly, and I am sharing my absolute nightmare with T-Mobile customer care and billing. I am actively battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia under intense oncology tracking, which requires constant coordination across 11 medical specialists. T-Mobile's unapproved billing practices triggered a total network suspension that blocked me from receiving urgent tracking text alerts from my pre-scheduled hospital transportation. Consequently, my ride was missed, my mandatory pre-op appointment was bypassed, and my surgeon officially CANCELED my life-saving cancer removal surgery. When I had a high-level review call scheduled with Executive Specialist Annalisa Avalos today, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM to review the mathematical errors on my live equipment screen, she stated she was done and abruptly hung up the telephone on me mid-dispute. Stating you are done while holding my 30-year-old phone numbers hostage and leaving me isolated from my home health care team is a flagrant violation of consumer safety guidelines. This matter is currently under active federal investigation with the Federal Trade Commission

STAY AWAY

I was with T-Mobile for years. The cell service was excellent. BUT the customer service deserves a negative rating. It got even worse when I finally changed carriers and my final bill had new charges and to try and get help over the phone was a complete joke.
They used to have good pricing and all they really want to do is make more sales, sales, sales.
YOU CAN FIND MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY CARRIERS, AT BETTER PRICE POINT. STAY AWAY FROM T-MOBILE
