Delays on delays, damaged floor and ceiling, poor service. Terrible (ongoing) experience.
Terrible ongoing experience.
Hard to know where to start.
With 2 kids, the kitchen is delayed a month. The cabinets are mounted since December 14th but the counter, sink and dishwasher is taking 4 extra weeks. The stove will only come in February.
As for the countertop, they took the measurements before Christmas.
When mounting, and even though we covered the brand new floor completely to protect it, the mounters removed our floor protection and scratched it, which they now refuse to take responsibility for. They said they thought it was concrete, which explains how brutal they were with it. Brand new means it had one day and it was linoleum and not concrete. There are visible scratches in it now.
The mounting was sloppy and some panels are still loose. Some cabinets got also damaged in the edges. The ceiling also got scratched and like the floor, it was also new.
The appliances they chose aren’t great. I wish I had been better at doing my research but I trusted their expertise. The microwave is noise and not user friendly at all, and the fridge keeps on icing in the back. Invita won’t accept appliances returns, so we are left with the task of getting hold of Siemens ourselves and figuring it out.
The kitchen was supposed to be delivered in one go, with exception of the quoquer and the counter top. While we were way for Christmas, which they knew, they came to deliver some parts without letting us know. Worse part: they left it in the driveway, took off and didn’t care to notify us. If it wasn’t for the neighbour, the parcels would have been outside for a week, letting everyone know no one was home, and possibly getting damaged in the rain or stolen.
The customer service has been bad from the start. The first consultant in the store (Frederiksborggade) did not take notes of what we had discussed in the 2 hours we had booked and spent with him. He promised an offer in 2 weeks but 4 went by. He was slow in his response by email and kept asking questions about things that were discussed and decided in the meeting we had.
He never sent us an offer. Our case ended up being passed on to another consultant, with whom we also used time to meet and discussed the exact same things as before. He seemed more competent and willing, so we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and accepted their offer instead of the two others we had. We can now conclude it was mistake. Had we known what was gonna happen and we would have never chosen Invita.
The current consultant, despite the apparent better manner, has been handling the delays and damaged floor in an extremely disappointing and dishonest way. As soon as things started derailing, he stopped taking the phone. When he last did, he accepted responsibility for the damaged floor and promised to find a temporary solution to the delays (countertop and sink) only to send us an email some days later, saying that after all, they won’t take the fault for it, or do anything about it and that the delays are what they are. Nothing to do about them. No temporary sink, no temporary countertop.
It all started in September. The offer was signed in beginning of November with planned installing in the first week of December. The kitchen was meant to be finished before Christmas and here we are, a family with two kids and still no kitchen, with a case of damaged floor and ceiling during mounting, appliances that aren’t great, and which we must sort ourselves.
22/01 update - the floor is still damaged. Some drawers are still missing, panels still falling off and cabinets not levelled.
