Great support!
Great support! Very fast in answering and great support!
Absolutely useless!
Absolutely useless!
It simply doesn't work, importing and managing your contacts and companies is an absolute joke, none of the automated features work! And that's before you've even got to the point where they basically tell you they don't understand GDPR and email marketing rules/laws in the UK. Rather worrying for a company thats sole purpose is email marketing software! Avoid at all costs, it's an absolute waste of time
Account suspended over bot signups, then permanently banned with no real explanation
Please don't bother replying here with a generic response if you're not willing to actually explain your decision on the support ticket; I've already asked and been given nothing.
We used Brevo purely for transactional emails (registration and password notifications) on our website. Our account got suspended after a wave of spam bot registrations flooded our forms; not something we caused, but something we were actively targeted by.
We cooperated fully: we implemented rate limiting to block the bots, we don't even have contact lists, and provided proof of reCAPTCHA on our signup form when asked. We answered every question the support team raised, promptly and in detail.
After all that, we were simply told our account "could not be validated" with zero specific explanation; just a generic link to their Terms of Use and Anti-Spam Policy. No indication of what more we could have done, no appeals process offered, nothing. Just a "best of luck."
If your business relies on transactional emails, be aware that Brevo can suspend and permanently ban your account due to third-party activity (bots) that you have no control over; even after you fix the problem and prove it. Their review process offers no transparency and no real path to reinstatement.
Very disappointing experience with Brevo for what should have been a straightforward technical issue. I will no longer recommend them to my clients, despite having previously referred many to Brevo over alternatives like Postmark, Zoho, Mailchimp, and Klaviyo.
I just signed up for Brevo
I just signed up for Brevo, and frankly, it's not very user friendly. I just want to send a mass email without a complicated design template. It's not showing me that option. Of course, none of these sites have customer service, so it's impossible to interact with anyone for help. I guess I'll have to design a template, starting from some company that sells plants, in order to send the email that I want... or switch to a more user-friendly platform.
Good product / Needs Modernization
Good product. Lacks LLM like interface. User needs to do everything manually. Time consuming & error prone.
Challenge to meet requirement of support/compliance is always an issue. Lack of a solution to clean contacts.
AVOID BREVO! repeated suspensions despite doing everything they asked
I would strongly advise any business that relies on email marketing to think very carefully before choosing Brevo.
This isn't a review written because we were suspended once. We have been suspended repeatedly.
Every time this happens, we work with Brevo, follow their instructions, make sure everything they have requested is addressed, get the account reviewed and eventually continue using the service.
Then we send another legitimate marketing campaign and somehow find ourselves dealing with yet another suspension.
Our database has already been cleaned thoroughly. We have removed problematic and unverified contacts, deduplicated the database, followed their recommendations and taken the necessary steps to maintain proper list hygiene.
We even contacted Brevo after completing the cleanup specifically to make sure everything was in order before continuing.
Yet we're suspended again.
At this point, what more exactly is a paying customer supposed to do?
The most frustrating thing is that I have an extensive support history relating to these suspensions. This isn't an isolated incident or a misunderstanding that happened once. It has become a repeated pattern.
You follow their instructions.
You resolve the issue.
You get reviewed.
You continue using the service.
You send another campaign.
Suspended again.
It's ridiculous.
Email marketing is one of Brevo's core services. Businesses use platforms like this because they need to reliably communicate with their customers and run scheduled marketing campaigns.
How can you possibly build your marketing around a platform when you don't know whether your next campaign is going to result in your account being restricted again?
Of course email providers need anti-spam and abuse prevention systems. Nobody disputes that.
But when a legitimate paying customer has repeatedly worked with support, followed their requirements, cleaned their database and done what has been asked of them, there comes a point where repeatedly suspending the account becomes completely unacceptable.
The amount of time we've wasted dealing with this is unbelievable.
Instead of using Brevo to run our marketing, we've repeatedly had to stop what we're doing and deal with support because Brevo has once again restricted the service we're paying them to provide.
Enough is enough.
I've now requested complete cancellation of my account and subscription and will be moving our email marketing elsewhere.
If your business depends on email marketing, my experience with Brevo is simple:
I would not trust them with it.
There are plenty of alternatives available. I wish I had moved to one of them much sooner.
Completely unreliable for our business, an enormous waste of time, and one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a paid business service. Avoid.

Just terrible customer service using standard AI answers
Absolutely terrible customer service. I was sending a campaign to more than 50,000 subscribers from a clean, double-opt-in database with a very low complaint rate. Despite this, an automated rule first blocked the campaign and then, five minutes later, suspended my entire account.
I immediately opened a support ticket, but after receiving five generic, AI-generated responses, my account remains blocked without any clear or valid explanation. There appears to be no proper human review or meaningful support whatsoever.

Years of Loyalty Ended by a 10x Price Increase
We had been a customer for many years, dating back to when the company was still called Sendinblue. One of the main benefits at the time was unlimited contacts, combined with a pay-as-you-go model that allowed us to purchase email credits whenever we needed them.
Ever since the rebranding to Brevo, however, the service has gradually gone downhill.
About a year ago, a limit of 2 million contacts was introduced without any meaningful prior notice. This was highly impractical for us, as we had to delete large numbers of contacts simply to make room to purchase more email credits, and then re-import the contacts we actually wanted to email. It was frustrating, but at least we found a way to work around it.
Another recurring issue over the years was that our account would occasionally be suspended. From our perspective, our bounce rates were low and our open and click rates were strong. However, Brevo apparently assessed our performance differently. They never clearly explained what they considered acceptable or “good” rates, and we were left guessing about what was causing the suspensions. Eventually, they would allow us to continue, but the lack of transparency was extremely frustrating.
Now, however, they have migrated our account to a subscription plan that is approximately ten times more expensive—without any prior notice. I seriously question whether changing a customer's plan and pricing in this way is even legal, but at this point, I am simply not interested in fighting it anymore.
After many years as a customer, this is the final straw.
No more Brevo for me.

Don't waste your time with this…
Don't waste your time with this company, I created an account and began to create a few templates and they closed it without any reason for violating their TOS (didn't send or use anything yet what a joke)
The tooling is horrendous also never saw a thing that poorly designed.
edit since they replied: as I said, don't bother with them, I created two templates and got flagged by what they call an automated system, didn't send a single email or did anything suspicious, imagine if you set up for days and days with them and they ban you for no reason. Fortunately I lost only a few hours

Joined up sent 1 or 2 campaigns then they blocked our account after getting our email contacts.
I will be taking this also to trading standards and as far up the legal chain as it can go. You don't steal my companies email contacts and get away with it. Go knows what you are doing with our email contacts now. Probably trying to scam my customers.
You are petty thiefs.

Easy to use and great support
I’ve tried several email marketing platforms, but so far Brevo has worked the best for me. I find it very easy to use and well-organized, so it’s easy to find what you need, while still having a lot of useful features.
I’ve also had a really good experience with the support team. They responded quickly, explained everything clearly, and actually helped me solve my issue. I especially appreciated that the replies were specific to my problem and not just generic answers.
Overall, I’m very happy with Brevo, and out of all the email marketing platforms I’ve tried so far, this is definitely the one I would choose.

As an artist rather than a professional…
As an artist rather than a professional marketer, I was looking for an email platform that could grow with my project. Brevo has exceeded my expectations. The platform is powerful, and the support team has been patient, knowledgeable and responsive whenever I needed help. Their explanations have helped me understand not only how to use the software, but also how modern email marketing really works. I look forward to continuing my journey with Brevo.
