I paid 29 DKK for the 24-hour limited access because I only wanted to use BoligPortal for one day. I genuinely thought I had cancelled it afterwards correctly.
A few days later, like a week, I had been charged 399 DKK for 28 days.
I contacted customer service and they were polite and did look into my account. They confirmed that I had cancelled the subscription later that same day, but unfortunately after the automatic renewal had already happened, so they refused to refund the 399 DKK.
What I find frustrating is that I did cancell it, and also didn’t receive any reminder before the renewal. They told me that the conditions had been provided by email after the purchase and were also included in the terms I accepted but i never got those emails. when i said this the CS Sara told me: "I can see those emails were bounced, maybe your inbox is full" and i told her that cannot be possible because is a new email account.
I’m disappointed that, despite cancelling as soon as I realised what had happened, there was no possibility of getting the 399 DKK back, even from a goodwill standpoint, when explaining that i didnt longer need the service because i got an student apartment through other service and that amount of money is very significative.
i do not recommend using boligportal because the CS won´t help you if something like this happens to you, they only want to make profit independently of your specific situation, nobody takes a moment to reflect on your case.

Best way of finding tenant and making contract

Really disappointed in the customer service - i tried to cancel my subscription 30 mins after I had realised it auto renewed, and asked if i could please get a refund as I no longer needed the subscription after getting an apartment. I'm a low income student, and this is a disproportionately expensive service for how poor the communication often is and how difficult it is to get viewings. I recognise it was my fault for not cancelling, but Boligzonen allowed me a refund for a similar issue. Really shows they don't have the users best interests in mind and are just focused on maximising profits.

The app is great, to be honest, I have no complaints about the website and how it functions. It's aggressive with notifications/emails by defaut, however I think that's actually necessary in Copenhagen's crazy housing market if you're serious about finding somewhere.
My only real complaint, is a big one. It's that this is an obviously exploitative pricing plan, in terms of cost and terms. It's by far the biggest course of validated housing info, at least in Copenhagen, and it uses that monopoly to extract as much price as possible from people who are likely already in a very high pressure situation.

I made a mistake by not cancelling my two-month plan and they charged me again. Who would think that it's a subscription that renews every two months?? I thought it was a one time charge. So, I reached the custom service immediately (like one hour after I received the notification from my bank), and they refused to refund me. Considering the high price and low value of such subscription, I would consider the one-month and two-month plans as scams.
Some tips to not subscribe (or spend little) but find your dream apartment (Don't be as stupid as me):
1) For housing agencies/companies, you don't need to subscribe. Just go through the apartment description and find the name of building project. Then look for their official website and contact the company there.
2) For private housing, you can try one day subscription to just get the phone number of the landlord. (remember to cancel your subscription!!!) Then contact the landlord directly.

⭐ Very negative experience. Be extremely careful with the subscription
In my opinion, BoligPortal uses a very misleading subscription system.
You make an initial payment of 29 DKK for 24 hours of access, and after that period an automatic charge of 399 DKK for a 28-day subscription is made. The subscription was cancelled immediately after the charge was noticed, but they refused to refund the money.
What I find particularly disappointing is that even when the subscription is cancelled immediately and you do not wish to continue using the service, they keep the payment and simply refer to their terms and conditions.
The customer service was also very disappointing. They repeatedly refused to offer any solution and simply referred back to the terms.
I strongly recommend being extremely careful before entering your payment details and checking very carefully how the subscription and automatic renewal work.
Based on my experience, I would never use this service again and I cannot recommend it.

As an expat navigating the Danish housing market for the first time, BoligPortal has been an invaluable resource. The platform is undeniably the premier site for finding rental properties in Denmark, offering an outstanding user experience across both its desktop version and mobile application. The user interface is sleek, intuitive, and remarkably easy to navigate, which significantly reduces the stress typically associated with house hunting. One of the platform's strongest features is its advanced filtering system. The tools are highly sophisticated, allowing users to effortlessly pinpoint search results that match their exact requirements. Additionally, the "Search Agent" (Søgeagent) feature is a game-changer. By setting up automated agents based on my specific criteria, I received instant notifications whenever matching properties became available, ensuring I never missed an opportunity. The quality of the listings on BoligPortal is consistently excellent. What truly sets this platform apart, however, is its commitment to security. BoligPortal thoroughly screens both property owners and tenants to verify their authenticity. This rigorous verification process provides immense peace of mind, particularly during the initial financial transactions and lease signings. Thanks to BoligPortal, I found my first home in Denmark with absolute ease. I highly recommend this platform to anyone looking for a reliable, secure, and efficient rental search experience.

I contacted customer support asking for help after I was charged for an automatically renewed subscription. I wasn’t aware that the subscription would renew automatically because all the information was in Danish, and my Danish is not good enough to fully understand the terms and conditions.
I explained that I am a student and that this amount of money is significant for me. I also explained that I have no intention of using the subscription and kindly asked if they could make an exception and issue a refund.
Unfortunately, I only received a standard response saying that the rules are the same for everyone and that no exceptions can be made. This gave me the impression that there is no individual approach to customers and that personal circumstances simply do not matter. Instead of trying to help, they hide behind their policies.
Very disappointing customer service, and it left me with a negative impression of the company.

As a black person I always watch over my shoulder when I seek some kind service in Denmark. However, I have a very good experience in Denmark so far. I am on boligportal about a year, first of all they dont respond at all, if they do they want to run all kind of checks as if they are going to give me their last kidney. Shitty landlords, shitty communication. Probably, the worst service I encountered in Denmark. Hahaa...btw when my Danish girlfriend contacts them, they are head over heels... Absolutely Despicable!

I signed up for a subscription and was charged 399 DKK for a renewal that I clearly did not want. I cancelled the subscription, and the actual payment was processed after my cancellation. Despite this, BoligPortal refused to offer any refund, not even a partial or goodwill refund.
Their customer service kept repeating the same policy and considered the matter “closed”, even though the timing of the charge was extremely unfair from a customer perspective. They also claimed that simply accessing my inbox counted as using the renewed service, even though this happened while I was trying to understand my account status and cancel the subscription.
In my opinion, this is a very rigid and customer-unfriendly approach. The subscription model feels designed in a way that makes it easy to be charged again, and once the money is taken, they refuse to show any flexibility.
I would not recommend BoligPortal. Be extremely careful with their subscription renewal times, because even a few minutes can cost you 399 DKK.

I actually started to have a good experience on Boligportal. I got the longer contract (two months) and tried to cancel right away on the English page. I did not receive a confirmation mail or anything but I was not worried.
Today, they renewed may contract for two more months... When cancelling on the Danish version, I got the confirmation via E-Mail. Seems very sketchy. Additionally, EU law only permits the renewal of maximum one month after the first period.
For customers with similar experience, help can be found at forbrug, which is the Danish agency responsible.

Worst experience using this platform as a student looking for accommodation.
By default, they automatically charge your account when you buy a 24H subscription unless you change the subscription settings on your profile. They refuse any help or refund, even for an immediate cancellation request after auto-charges for the subscription. I will never get back and trust them.

Scam
I was charged for an automatic renewal without any prior reminder.
I deactivated my subscription within the specified date, and I emphasize within the specified date, but they automatically renewed it because a few minutes had passed.
Despite this, the company refused to provide any refund.
This feels unfeirs.

Overall a good option for finding houses in Denmark.
Many owners ghost you or reply much later, but I ended up finding my apartment in Aarhus here.
Scammers do exist on the site, and I came across one when I was moving in Copenhagen years ago; I understood he was a scammer, and he got kicked out a few days later.
But overall, the vast majority of announcements are legit, and you just need common sense.

Terrible website. I signed up for the 1-day subscription to connect with someone offering a sublet. I did not notice that their policy implies that if you do not cancel within that day, the next day you are charged with their monthly subscription (VERY EXPENSIVE!). Although I understand this is stated in their terms and conditions, I believe is normal for similar websites to do a reimbursement if it is clear that this is not what you intended. I reached out, explained the situation, but they were not willing to provide a reimbursement. I think this is one of the worst customer services I come across. Please be aware that they will take your money!! Use alternative websites.
