The coffee machine is literally perfect. I still can’t believe I got for this price. It works amazing, this website is amazing. I’m giving 4 stars because The delivery service could be better. I got an email saying it’s delivered but it wasn’t anywhere near my house and I didn’t had anything in my mail box. I had to call but they heard my problem and just hung up. I accidentally went to my near DHL store and when talking to the girl she pointed at a package that even she didn’t know who it belonged to and asked if it was mine.

More than two months and still no properly functioning iPhone

Unfortunately, my experience with Back Market has been extremely disappointing.

I purchased an iPhone 15 Pro which had microphone/audio problems from the beginning. During phone calls, people had difficulty understanding me, and video recordings with the rear camera contained a very noticeable background noise.

I returned the phone for repair. After waiting for the device, collecting it, setting it up again from scratch and transferring all my data, I discovered almost immediately that exactly the same problem was still there. A short video recording was enough to reproduce the defect.

For the second return, I even provided Back Market with a comparison video recorded simultaneously with my old iPhone and the defective iPhone 15 Pro, clearly demonstrating the difference in audio quality.

What disappoints me most is not simply that a refurbished device had a defect. Problems can happen. What matters is how they are handled.

I was told that my case would receive special attention and that one person would personally follow it. Instead, I have since communicated with several different customer service agents and repeatedly received rather generic responses without concrete information about what is actually happening with my phone.

The device is now with the refurbisher for the second time. Back Market itself informed me that the seller normally has three business days to repair and return a smartphone, yet that timeframe has passed and I still do not have a clear answer as to whether the defect has been reproduced, what is being repaired, or how they will verify that the phone actually works before sending it back to me again.

After more than two months, I still do not have the properly functioning iPhone 15 Pro that I paid for.

I chose Back Market because I trusted their reputation and their promise of quality-controlled refurbished devices. My experience so far has unfortunately made me seriously question how effectively the quality of individual refurbishers and failed repairs is actually monitored.

I will update this review once the case is finally resolved. I genuinely hope Back Market will still provide a satisfactory solution.

Great ! Experience

I ordered an iPhone 16 Pro Max from Back Market in the highest available condition (“Excellent”). Delivery was on time, and at first everything seemed perfectly fine.

Unfortunately, my experience with the durability has been disappointing. Despite using a protective case, the phone fell from about one meter and the display immediately ended up with several scratches/cracks. My previous phone had been dropped multiple times, sometimes from greater heights, without anything similar happening.

What makes this especially frustrating is that replacing the display would cost me another €300+. At that point, the total amount spent would be close to what I could have paid for a brand-new iPhone directly from Apple, including Apple’s warranty and customer support.

Of course, dropping a phone is not Back Market’s fault, but given how easily the display was damaged, I do question the quality and durability of the replacement parts used in refurbished devices.

Overall, the ordering and delivery experience was good, but considering the durability and potential repair costs, I can only partially recommend Back Market. For me, 3 out of 5 stars.

Terrible customer service and complete disregard for EU consumer rights
I purchased a phone insurance policy with high expectations, but my experience has been a nightmare. After my phone broke down, I sent it in for a repair that took an unacceptable one full month. Just 4 days after it was finally returned to me, the exact same issue occurred, and the phone became completely unusable again.
Despite this clear lack of reliability and failed repair, the insurance company refused my request for a refund, rudely demanding that I send the device back for yet another round of repairs. Under EU Directive 2019/771, when a repair fails or causes major inconvenience, consumers have the legal right to reject further repairs and demand a full refund.
This company completely ignores consumer protection laws and leaves customers stranded without a working device. Avoid this insurance service if you expect reliable support and respect for your legal rights!
