My experience with Rentola raises serious concerns regarding transparency and compliance with EU consumer protection law.
I signed up for a €1 trial and was never clearly asked to confirm continuation into a paid subscription after the trial period ended. There was no explicit second consent, no clear renewal confirmation, and no payment reminder before charges were applied. Instead, the case was escalated directly to a debt collection agency with additional fees.
Under EU consumer protection rules, automatic renewals require clear, informed, and unambiguous consent. Based on my experience, this standard was not met.
If this matter is not resolved fairly, I am prepared to escalate it to the relevant consumer protection authorities and seek further guidance through EU consumer channels.
I strongly advise others to review all subscription terms very carefully before engaging with this service.
