Review of Comfort Insurance
It’s rare that sorting out vehicle insurance is a pleasure - but, in this case, organising insurance for a motorhome could not have been easier. First Grace and then Ryan, made the task straightforward with clear information and relevant questions along the way. The resulting quote was reasonable and competitive and we are very happy to put ourselves in their hands.
Review of Nixplay
Support was prompt - and Maris was very helpful in resolving my issue.
Review of SURI - Award-winning Electric Toothbrush | B Corp™
Enjoying two new SURI brushes (Mr & Mrs) - initially purchased one for medical reasons (need for frequent cleaning) decided on a pair. Like the battery life, love the mirror mount, teeth feel good and clean. Paired with a Water Pik Flosser my teeth feel very clean.
Review of Sheet Plastics
Easy to order - delivered quickly and product was as specified.

Review of Octopus Energy
Information is open and available and pretty clear. I can find slightly cheaper tariffs - in a few cases - but there seem often to be caveats. Whilst energy costs remain high - no thanks to governments - Octopus seem like a decent firm to deal with.
Review of Swish Fibre
Have had Swish for a few years - and really it’s been great. Today I had a problem (actually after a power cut I realised later). Having tried a couple of things I called Swish Customer Support and spoke with Amra. She went through some standard steps - and although I was losing faith she nailed it and things were soon up and running. Polite helpful and effective service.

Review of DoYouSpain.com
Clear booking process, competitive pricing and good selection of options. Previous experience has been good so hopefully if a repeat performance.
Review of Irish Ferries
We were on the same ferry as some who had a bad time and have complained about their journeys. Holyhead closed - major issue for customers and for Irish Ferries - but no one’s fault. Strong winds causing delays (Sunday 22nd) certainly not Irish Ferries fault.
And, so, the journey. From Pembroke to Rosslare (rather than Holyhead/Dublin). Yes times moved about, messages were sometimes late coming, things were a bit chaotic.
Yes Irish Ferries management could have done a better job to endure left hand/right hand were more in touch in some places. However Irish Ferries staff “on the ground” were - without exception - as cheerful and helpful as anyone customer service reps we’ve travelled with. Despite crowded decks and (thankfully few) stroppy people they remained calm & helpful.
Travelling with small kids can’t have been great - it rarely is - but for any able adults it was just a slightly difficult journey - it’s life. And you’re home for Christmas. I’ll also say that most customers were cheerful too with only a few exceptions (some of whom are obviously sharing their views).
Review of Sainsbury's
High Wycombe store - generally helpful staff and well stocked. However - the two lifts are perpetually broken. Usually one of two - but for the last few weeks, both have been kaput. The problem with this is that there are "travellators" (those irritating things that tell you to hang on as if it's going to be racing along) which say - do not use if you are in a wheelchair. So... how exactly are disabled customers supposed to access the store? It's been a few weeks - surely Sainsburys have some resources for dealing with this (or an SLA with the car park management company if the typical route of "lets do it cheaper and worse and outsource it" has been taken). Pretty pathetic for a modern major supermarket.
Review of Sonos Inc.
I'm updating my review to reflect the work that has been done to improve and fix (as in repair what was broken) the associated app (IOS version). I do like the system and it mostly works fine again. I've removed a star simply because Sonos have the ability to basically trash your investment with one bad decision (as they previously did - but now, in my view, have mostly repaired).
[Previously 1 Star.... - 31st May 2024]
A product I used to love… The thing with Sonos is that you’re not just buying speakers - you’re also buying into an eco-system, in particular the controller app - iOS or Android. This means trusting that Sonos have a decent and dependable product. They did (mostly) and I would have recommended it to anyone. Unfortunately, in what seems to be an act of self destructive idiocy, they have released a new controller app - replacing the previous.
“Is it new & shiny with a ton of new features?” I hear you ask. Spoiler - no, it actually removes a load of functionality. Simple thing like adding a song to a queue - gone. They say they’ll replace that particular function in early June. So why have they released something that they are now trying to “fix”!? Please look around - many people are complaining and in good faith I can no longer recommend Sonos. Abysmal.
Review of Heathrow Airport
T2 - 48 hours to pay for drop off. Easily forgotten (especially when it was due to fire at Luton and therefore unplanned). Remembered 72 hours later - and bingo - £5 magically becomes £40. Given Heathrow are too stingy to install pay gates (so you can't forget) it seems that 48 hours is rather short AND why not send one reminder - £10 perhaps. Although I've seen many other similar complaints - I also see some others "you chose to use the airport" "set a reminder on your phone" etc. Irrelevant - the point is - easily forgotten under pressure - £40 is too big a jump. Even Luton (yes, really) is more pleasant to use... I know that Heathrow don't care.
Review of Roseland Furniture
Easy and clear online ordering process. Delivery was prompt and the information about it was timely and relevant (mind you, a proposed delivery window of 6am to 9am is an early start!)
Product itself is exactly what we wanted and matches very well the photos and descriptions on the website.
Review of Richer Sounds
Easy online ordering, fair prices, quick and well organised delivery. In particular the delivery (first and only real point of contact) was a good experience. Plenty of information about timings, polite and careful delivery staff.
Review of Yale Home UK
Quick accurate response - order delivered very promptly - even over Xmas period.

Review of Apple
Daughter - Android user - tried to subscribe to Apple TV+ to watch on a Firestick. The single most convoluted, confusing and obscure online purchase process of my (and her) entire life. What a pile of crap. Payment methods added - which then seem to disappear overnight - probably explaining why things no longer work the next day. I have a Mac/iPhone/iPad - and it does work okay. But if you don't have these things... Apple make it as stupid as it could possibly be.
Review of Farnell CPC
Item of £3.95… “handling charge” of £4.99. That I did not notice on my little phone screen. What b*llsh*t. Not particularly happy. Next time Amazon.

Review of Cult Pens
Love the website - same thrill I used to get going into an artshop or uber stationers. Deliveries are pretty quick (despite Post Office efforts to the contrary sometimes). Selection and range is good. My problem is spending too much!
Review of Aéroport Nantes-Atlantique
Needed wheelchair assistance at short notice - the group who provide this - though busy & booked up, provided first a wheelchair and then assistance. They usually require 48 hours notice - my problem came on close to the flight. The chap who helped was brilliant, careful and so helpful. He also seemed able to operate 50 different sorts of machinery along the way. Very grateful for a great service at short notice.
