Recently bought a care from Blackburn branch. Jayson was fantastic, made the process so easy and stress free.

Service was well done and quick. Professional and to the standard expected

I was helping my in laws who were looking for a Fiesta Zetec, Evans Halshaw Ashton had one for sale, I spoke with Tim, he provided me with additional details on the car and we went to view it two days later.

We could not be described as decisive customers, we had numerous questions and queries which would have without doubt frustrated most people, but Tim dealt with us with patience and professionalism, he made us feel at ease and nothing was too much trouble.

He explained the process, gave us time to discuss and have a coffee whilst we decided, at no point did we feel pressured, after test driving the car we decided to go ahead and also purchase an extended two year warranty.

Despite issues with my in laws not having internet banking and also having some issues with forwarding e mails, needing a couple of goes leaving a deposit, and all of us generally being hard work, Tim took it all in his stride, was considerate, kind and courteous.

He is a credit to Evans Hallshaw.

For any other car salespeople out there, be like Tim.

Do not use the ford Motherwell branch the service is diabolical, the take your vehicle in try and fix it , do t tell you it’s not fixed , then say it’s fixed then it’s not fixed , they witness it’s not fixed then take 338 pounds out you then say being it back on Monday and we will look at it again???
Then don’t wash it twice and say bring it back next week and we will wash it ???
Absolute joke .
Then told you shouldn’t have bought the vehicle as it doesn’t suit your needs , who do they think they are ?
Then also told you, we don’t usually take commercial vehicle in as we only look at cars ??
So if you want to waste money and time go here if not go somewhere that will give you the service you deserve.

Absolutely amazing customer service, Linda did amazing, not only did she explain everything really well and answered all and any questions i had really well, when i rang up saying i was going to be late because of a missed train, she assured me it was alright and waited for me to get there. Would recommend my friends and family to go.

Aimee in Blackburn was amazing in helping me find a car. She was so polite and helpful with me !. She answered all the questions I had (there was a lot). She is a delight and needs a raise with her work ethic!!

Company Staff were friendly but lacked commitment to my issues / faults on buying the used car. The whole experience I found lengthy and frustrating . I wouldn’t recommend or use Evans Halshaw again.

Extremely disappointing experience

I paid a deposit for a used SEAT Ibiza. Before collection, I was sent a dealer video in which one significant bodywork scratch was pointed out. I was also made aware that a front grille required replacement. I fully understood this was a used car and did not expect it to be perfect.

I was subsequently told the vehicle was ready for collection and attended the dealership expecting to complete the purchase and collect the car.

What I found was very different from what had been disclosed. There was a significant crack in the windscreen, substantial additional front bumper damage including a split/crack and damage underneath, evidence of what appeared to be a previous poor SMART repair, as well as other significant damage.

Most concerning was that these issues were only identified when I physically inspected the vehicle myself. This left me questioning how they had not been properly identified and communicated through the dealership's 123-point inspection/preparation process, particularly when the vehicle had already been declared ready for collection.

The dealership ultimately would not release the vehicle because of its condition.

Following this, I repeatedly had to chase for updates and a resolution. I eventually lost confidence in the transaction and cancelled the purchase. My deposit has now been refunded in full.

What was particularly frustrating was discovering that, while I was still waiting for my deposit to be returned, the same vehicle had already been advertised for sale again. I retained a dated and timed screenshot of the advertisement.

My issue is not that a used car had imperfections. I fully accept that. My issue is that the actual condition of the vehicle was materially different from what had been disclosed, significant defects appear not to have been properly identified or communicated during the inspection and preparation process, and the vehicle was nevertheless represented as ready for collection.

I have now raised a formal complaint with Evans Halshaw and will update this review once I receive their response.

Recently got my car from Evans Halshaw Blackburn. Aimee really helped me with the whole process and answered all of my questions. She's great at building a good rapport with customers like myself and help them feel more comfortable with the car buying process. An amazing asset to that team!

Perfect customer service, I can’t praise Ellie enough - she understood what I was looking for in my next car, showed me options which demonstrated she had listened to the detail. There was no rush and no push, just clear answers to questions from her impressive knowledge of the Genesis range and space for me to make my decision. She made the admin part easy and pleasant and when I picked up the car I really benefitted from the depth of knowledge she has of all its bells and whistles!

Very pleased with the car (great value and lovely to drive) but also feeling really happy after such and enjoyable buying experience.

They never call you back or return emails when you have a query. They you are fobbed off face to face with some excuse you wouldn't give to a child.

Everything was great except the car park which was chock a block with too many vehicles both in the car park and the road outside.

I had my car booked in for a minor problem but it started having bigger issues so I took the car in as I didn't feel safe driving it. Jake managed to get my car looked at early and both problems were sorted out in 1 day.

My experience was very good the staff was very professional and kind and did what needed to be done the only down side is when I was driving in it’s very hard to see which way to get in to the car park
