I signed up for Mondassur Gold Student Global based on misleading advice from a third party. Upon realising that I did not need this insurance, I invoked article 112-2-1 of the French insurance code to request a refund. This article states the customer can get their money back within 14 days of the contract being completed without penalty or justification. Since then Mondassur has been evasive and ignored my emails. Phone advisors have ranged from sympathetic to impatient and discourteous in responding to my query and none of them have offered any real help or information. It has now been 11 days since I requested a refund and nobody has gotten back to me. My cancellation window is nearly over and I fear that Mondassur is intentionally stalling. I am very disappointed about the service (or lack thereof) I received given the high reputation this company enjoys on sites like Trustpilot.

I looked and half signed up, but needed additional paperwork (my problem for my visa). Explained my situation, and when I was ready, so were they. Easy!
