Io non so quelli che si lamentano che prodotto stiano usando e se siano altrettanto "capaci" nel settarlo adeguatamente. Uso tutta la suite Proton Free dal "lontano" 2017, per le mie piccole esigenze è sempre andato più che bene, le versioni a pagamento includono moltissime funzionalità indubbiamente utili, specie per un uso professionale, ma per un privato, già la suite free è qualcosa di grandioso nonché completo sotto tutti i punti di vista. Ok, si può sempre migliorare, ok, prima per esempio la VPN potevi loggarti a piacimento tra Stati Uniti, Giappone, Olanda e ora si connette automaticamente, L'email ha forse poco spazio ma EHI, è gratis, fa del trattamento dei dati il suo punto di forza, ha i server in Svizzera... cosa diavolo si vuole di più? C'è l'autenticatore 2FA, il drive per stoccare i file, il gestore password (comodissimo)... con funzioni LIMITATE ma pur sempre FREE. La concorrenza cosa ti dà? La concorrenza come tratta i tuoi dati? Come crittografa i tuoi file, le tue password? Sei poi magari costretto a scaricare l'email da una parte, il calendario dall'altra, l'autenticatore ancora da un altra parte: qui hai un ecosistema completo, sincronizzato e molto sicuro. E la concorrenza io l'ho provata...sia vpn che gestore password...che email... ma non c è niente di meglio, ancora oggi, nel 2026, quantomeno nel piano FREE. Io spero si vada avanti così e che non ci siano ulteriori limitazioni ai piani free nei prossimi anni ma anche se dovessi pagare 2-3 euro al mese non sarebbe la fine del mondo per quello che Proton da... Grazie

Continue disconnessioni dei loro server, quando si riconnette, anche allo stesso server, il portforwarding cambia numero della porta rovinando le code di download. Un disastro. A maggio mi scade l'abbonamento e non ho nessuna intenzione di rinnovarlo.

To maintain the integrity of our service, Proton VPN must take measures to avoid the creation of accounts by bots. Such fake accounts could take up network bandwidth, slowing down all our real users’ connections. To prevent the creation of accounts by spam bots, Proton VPN uses two different human verification methods. When you first sign up, you will be asked to choose how you will receive your human verification code, either via email or SMS. We have an algorithm that determines when our users need to complete a verification method that considers many different factors.
When you share your email or phone number to receive a verification code, we only keep a cryptographic hash of it. This hash is not permanently associated with the account that you create. Because hash functions are one-way functions, it is impossible for us to derive your phone number or email from that hash. However, if the phone number matches the phone number you originally shared with us when you signed up, it will result in the same cryptographic hash. By comparing hashes, we can detect the re-use of phone number or email addresses on other accounts. Adoro Proton ma ultimamente non ci siamo
Sono almeno due anni che uso i vari servizi proton a pagamento. Proton vpn funzionava abbastanza bene in passato ma ultimamente ha spesso rallentamenti e disconnessioni. I server prima in Italia erano molti di più ora ne vedo solo due : Palermo e Milano. Spesso non ricevo messaggi whatsapp ma quando disconnetto e riconnetto la vpn sull'iphone arrivano. Alcuni siti non ti fanno più entrare come il sito di Milano del fascicolo del cittadino o la banca. Poi un commento anche sul Proton Drive: ho smesso di usarlo perchè si riesco a sincronizzare i miei files e farci dei backup, ma quando ho bisogno di scaricare va talmente piano che ho smesso di usare il servizio. Adoro la filosofia di Proton ma ultimamente non ci siamo.

On another note, to enhance security and reliability, and help prevent the blocking of our service in certain countries, we are now showing a smaller subset of servers to each user, rather than the full list. You can learn more in our support article at https://protonvpn.com/support/streamlined-server-lists. All our servers remain fully operational and available on the native Proton VPN clients, so you can still connect to a specific server of your choice even if it's not listed. This change is designed purely to improve accessibility and reliability for everyone.
Lastly, some web services are not VPN-friendly and actively block known VPN IP addresses. Let us know which specific web services you've experienced issues with, as well as the servers you're connected to in the process so we can investigate further. Meanwhile, try switching between multiple different servers to see if there are any improvements.
Supporto linux migliorabile
Sono un utente linux e uso ProtonVPN da un paio di mesi con l'abbonamento "Unlimited" che, oltre alla VPN offe anche diverse caselle email criptate, uno spazio di archiviazione in cloud da 500GB e (mi sembra) un gestore di password che finora non ho utilizzato. Niente male per 10 euro al mese.
Devo dire che finora sono soddisfatto per quanto riguarda la conessione in VPN, è veloce anche per lo streaming e non mi ha mai dato problemi. Il client VPN fornito per linux è un po' spartano ma fa il suo lavoro. La posta funziona bene e c'è anche un'applicazione "bridge" che mi consente di scaricare i messaggi da Mozilla Thunderbird. Purtroppo Proton Drive non ha un client nativo per Linux ed è un peccato, visto che in fin dei conti ho pagato anche quello. I vari workaround disponibili (ad es. appoggiarsi ad rclone) funzionavano in passato ma ora non più, a quanto sembra.
Per il momento il mio giudizio è sufficiente: mi piacerebbe che Proton dedicasse alle sue app per linux la stessa cura che ho visto nelle app per Windows. Se così avverrà la mia valutazione sarà certamente più alta.

Uno dei peggiori servizi VPN di sempre.
Credo che sia il peggior servizio VPN che io abbia mai provato. Anche nella versione a pagamento ho riscontrato disconnessioni continue e caricamento lentissimo di alcune pagine. L'app aggiornata per Windows è tremenda, lentissima ad aprirsi, lentissima a connettersi e negli ultimi giorni la velocità è pure peggiorata. Mi dispiace ma il servizio è ancora molto instabile e poco affidabile.

La mia esperienza con Proton VPN
Utilizzo Proton VPN da tempo e nel complesso mi ritengo soddisfatto, soprattutto per quanto riguarda le prestazioni. Ecco cosa penso dopo un uso prolungato.
Prestazioni e velocità
Streaming fluido: Funziona perfettamente con Netflix, NOW, Prime Video e altre piattaforme. Non ho mai riscontrato rallentamenti o buffering fastidiosi.
P2P senza problemi: Anche per il file sharing e il torrenting, la velocità è più che adeguata. I server dedicati al P2P fanno il loro dovere.
Sicurezza e affidabilità
Proton VPN è noto per la sua attenzione alla privacy, e su questo nulla da dire: la connessione è stabile e sicura, e la reputazione dell’azienda svizzera è un punto a favore.
Aspetti negativi
Recupero password complicato: Se dimentichi la password, sbloccare i file salvati nel loro Proton Drive è un processo davvero macchinoso. Non è intuitivo e può diventare frustrante.
Assistenza poco accessibile: Sul sito manca una chat live, e il supporto avviene solo via email. Inoltre, le risposte arrivano esclusivamente in inglese, il che è paradossale considerando che Proton ha sede in Svizzera, dove le lingue ufficiali sono tedesco, francese e italiano. Un supporto multilingue sarebbe molto più inclusivo.

Ho provato ad utilizzare la versione gratuita . Non mi fa nemorizzare nome e password , devo inserire manualmente ogni volta . Modificare la password e' impossibile , ogni volta mi viene detto che ci sono troppe richieste .

Chiesto il rimborso e ho avuto sempre la risposta se volevo 2 mesi omaggio alla fine dopo 4 mail mi sono stufato e ho aperto reclamo PayPal, mi hanno scritto che non rientra nel loro modo di chiedere il rimborso facendomi credere che perderò tutto se non annullo la contestazione ,ovviamente hanno bloccato tutto e io non ho annullato con PayPal ,diffidate non sono seri.

Uso sia ProtonVPN che Proton pass, ormai insieme a MullvadVPN le due migliori vpn attualmente in commercio che rispettano veramente la privacy, essendo no-log e non registrano i vostri indirizzi ip come fanno altre vpn più "commerciali".
Uso attualmente il piano gratuito perché mi basta e rispetto a tempo fa i server noto siano più veloci anche quelli gratuiti.

Sicura e affidabile, sia Free che Plus
Ho scelto ProtonVPN perché tra quelle gratuite era la più quotata... devo dire che è la pura verità! Uso da circa 3 mesi la versione free, nonostante abbia pochi server gratuiti, ma anche quando essi sono carichi al 80-90%, la mia connessione non ne risente. Molto probabilmente sceglierò di pagare la versione Plus, poichè le protezioni aggiuntive che essa offre, sono molto valevoli. In conclusione, se siete alla ricerca di una VPN gratuita ma veloce, siete nel posto giusto! AGG. Ho pagato l'abbonamento annuale per attivare la versione Plus, confermo di aver fatto la scelta giusta! Tantissimi server disponibili e velocissimi! Se cercate una VPN a pagamento, questa è la scelta giusta!

Applicazione molto invasiva. Connessione lenta.
Salve, sono un tecnico informatico MS. Ho testato l'applicazione Proton VPN ultima versione gratuita. In primis l'applicazione è molto, molto invasiva, poiché sei OBBLIGATO ad utilizzare il server gratuito più veloce generato automaticamente dal loro programma, che dovrebbe essere quello più vicino alla tua posizione (dove abiti) e più veloce. Spesso si connette con l'America ed il Giappone: io vivo a Milano.. Ho testato la velocità con speedtest.net: è lenta. No comment.

That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server, or you can upgrade to connect to a specific server (https://protonvpn.com/pricing).
Furthermore, keep in mind that connection speeds can be influenced by numerous factors such as your native ISP speed, location, server load, network setup, etc. Our free servers may also provide slower speeds at times since a lot of users are connecting to them. Uso la versione gratuita e ok ci sono pochi servers, un po' lenta all'avvio, ma è comunque gratuita e funziona bene, sto pensando di prendere la PLUS.

Win11+GPU:: Avvio del Servizio ProtonVPNService.exe sempre lentissimo

- L'avvio del servizio ProtonVPNService.exe allo startup è sempre molto lento (5-10 secondi)
- Aspettando che la GUi sia disponibile..., vista la lentezza, se lancio più e più volte ProtonVPN.exe mi ritrovo n-istanze dello stesso processo in "attesa" di esecuzione. Probabilmente viene fatto troppo tardi il controllo sull'esistenza del medesimo processo nell'elenco dei processi attivi (problema di Windows OS?).
Sarebbe utile aggiungere l'opzione per rimuovere/escludere dalla GUi tutta la sezione grafica (mappa+chart) per rendere più leggera l'App e forse più veloce l'avvio (responsiveness)
