Werner Schmidt shared thisGreat to be part of the GTM World Tour™ in Dublin recently, joining Jana Metz Hannaway and Conor Moynagh for a panel on AI and GTM 🎤 One takeaway from the conversation: AI can make GTM teams faster and more efficient, but it doesn’t replace the fundamentals and process layers required. You still need to know your customer, know how to sell and have the right strategy behind it. Thanks to Ben Yosfan, Roman Hipp and Nicolas Schell for the invite and for putting on a great event!Werner Schmidt shared thisThat's a wrap on the European leg of the GTM World Tour™! Seven cities, seven very different rooms and countless conversations along the way. What stood out most was the knowledge sharing. It wasn't just happening on stage, the whole room got involved. People shared what was working, challenged each other, helped each other and kept the conversations going long after the panels ended. And every stop had its own topic at the center of the conversation: Berlin: Community Munich: Partnerships Amsterdam: Cold calling Dublin: CRM health London: AI vs. human Paris: 0 → 1 Barcelona: What scales Dublin was a special one for me. I got to help put that night together and host the panel. Huge thank you to all the hosts, speakers and everyone who joined and shared along the way. And to Roman Hipp and Nicolas Schell, for turning this idea into something real. The tour continues in the US, looking forward to seeing you there 🇺🇸

Werner Schmidt shared thisReally enjoyed sitting down with Sarah Bogossian and the team at Elkstone to talk about the story behind Lative. Lative came from a problem I’d seen repeatedly over 20+ years working in high growth SaaS companies, setting ambitious revenue targets but struggling to answer some of the most fundamental questions behind them. Way too often the answers were buried across spreadsheets, systems and assumptions and by the time we had clarity to act, the opportunity had already passed or we had run out of time to make a difference to the number. In the interview, I share a little more about that journey, what we’re building today and why I believe connecting sales strategy to execution is so important for the next generation of revenue teams. Thanks to the Elkstone team for having me on, and continuing to back us on our journey 🚀Werner Schmidt shared thisSales plans don't fail because reps underperform. They fail because the plan was never grounded in reality to begin with. Werner Schmidt spent 20 years leading global operations and enablement teams inside some of the fastest-growing SaaS companies. Across all of them, he kept seeing the same gap: leadership making high-stakes revenue calls on guesswork, because nobody could reliably measure what was actually driving or blocking sales performance. That gap is why he founded Lative. It's an AI decision intelligence platform that connects sales strategy to execution in real time, giving CROs the confidence to make the call, RevOps the model to run it, and Finance the assumptions they can actually trust. It's the pattern we keep backing at Elkstone: founders who've lived inside a problem long enough to know the fix isn't more data it's clarity everyone in the room can actually act on. That's what Lative gives revenue teams: a real-time view of growth efficiency, built for CROs, RevOps and Finance to work from the same numbers. #FounderFiles #Elkstone #Lative #RevOps #AI #IrishVenture #Marketing Niall McEvoy Sarah Bogossian Barry Brennan Cillian Sugrue Caolfhionn McCarthy

Werner Schmidt shared thisNext week, we’re heading to Chicago and San Diego for two evenings with the RevOps Co-op community and Matthew Volm. 🍽️ Chicago | Sept 23 Hosting with RevOps Co-op and Qobra https://lnkd.in/eSfyDQnN 🍽️ San Diego | Sept 24 Hosting with RevOps Co-op https://lnkd.in/eJ3FD8EN Looking forward to getting around the table with RevOps and Revenue leaders to talk about what’s top of mind as teams head into 2027 planning. There’s still time to join us with a few seats left. If you’re a Revenue Operations leader in Chicago or San Diego, you can sign up over the weekend. #RevOps #GTMPlanning #SalesPlanning

Werner Schmidt posted thisOne of the most important questions in annual planning is also one of the easiest to gloss over: Do we actually have enough productive sales capacity to deliver the number we’re being asked for next year? A revenue target can look perfectly reasonable at company level. But once you translate it into what the sales organisation actually needs to produce, the picture can change quickly. 👉 How many productive reps will we have? 👉 How much will ramp time for the new hires impact us? 👉 How much capacity will we lose to attrition and backfill ramp times? 👉 What level of productivity are we assuming from each rep? 👉 How much of the target is dependent on hiring people who aren’t here yet and whats the risk factor of delayed hiring? This is where a lot of annual plans get disconnected from execution. We start with the number, work backwards into quotas and headcount, and assume the capacity will be there to support it. A sales person hired in March doesn’t give you 12 months of productivity. Same as a sales person who leaves in June, takes all their productive capacity with them. Increasing quotas doesn’t create additional selling capacity either, just a dangerous play that generally backfires as more sellers then leave ⛔. Before locking in next year’s plan, I’d want to make sure you can answer these three questions: 1. How much productive sales capacity can the team we have today deliver? 2. What additional sales capacity do we need? 3. And can we realistically get that capacity productive early enough for it to impact the year? If you can’t answer those questions clearly, how confidant are you that you can then hit your plan next year?

Werner Schmidt shared thisSuch a great night and thank you again Gavin Sumner !Werner Schmidt shared thisI ♥️ Pavilion dinners! Occasionally, when Tom Glason & Nicola Anderson allow me too...I have the pleasure of hosting our wonderful Pavilion dinners. Last nights CRO dinner brought together some of the UK's best Revenue Leaders, and moreover a really lovely bunch of people. Thank you all for making the evening so much fun, and thanks for the advice ;) These events are made even more special when we get to bring genuinely the best GTM tech to the table, so thank you to our excellent sponsors Lative (Check them out!) and their brilliant leaders Werner Schmidt & Vernon Bubb. And a special thank you to Giri Fox & Ian Matthews for their excellent table hosting skills! Tom Glason said to me he has now hosted over 100 Pavilion dinners here in London, and with the GTM2026 & 10 year Pavilion birthday celebration coming up later this month, here's to another 100 please... Big shout outs to Alex Olley, Andrew Pringle, Ed Kelly Fran Burnham, Jacqueline de Gernier, Matt Cockayne, Nick Knight, Sara Brooks, Tim Knowles, Toby Phelps!

Werner Schmidt shared thisYou don’t often get Paul O'Riordan that has hit his sales targets for pretty much 60 quarters in a row now 🚀 (just amazing) and Mark Duggan, now living in Atlanta, all together again in the same spot, O’Donohues in Dublin, was special!

Werner Schmidt shared thisA Pavilion CRO dinner in London, bringing together a brilliant group of revenue leaders for an evening of good conversation, good food and experiences. Targets, capacity, hiring, productivity, investment decisions and the assumptions behind them all came up around the table, with planning season in full swing. AND the question, do I have the capacity to hit the number next year! A big thank you to Gavin Sumner and Tom Glason and the Pavilion team for partnering with us to bring the evening together, and to Vernon Bubb, Ian Matthews and Giri Fox for helping host the tables.

Werner Schmidt shared thisNice message to wake up to this morning from a prospect, Lative is trending as the Category Leader on the G2 Sales Planning Grid! What makes G2 so meaningful is that it’s driven by the people actually using our product. A huge thank you to all of our customers who have taken the time to share their experience with Lative. Your feedback has played a big part in getting us here and continues to shape where we go next. Plenty more to come. 🚀

Werner Schmidt shared thisThis year marks 10 years of Pavilion and Lative is excited to be sponsoring GTM2026 in New York! There’s a lot changing across GTM right now on how we plan, how we use AI, how we make decisions and how quickly teams need to adapt when things don’t go according to the plan. I’m looking forward to getting out from behind the screens and having some of those conversations in person with GTM leaders. If you are in the New York area on the days below, would love to connect. 📍 The Glasshouse, NYC 📅 September 28 – October 1 More info here - https://attendgtm.com/ #GTM2026 #GTMPlanning #Lative #Revops

Sold-out Women’s Summit. Live Topline with Manny Medina and Michael Walrath Pavilion Gold day with 40 incredible operators and an Only in Pavilion Gold dinner Tuesday night. Werner Schmidt liked thisWerner Schmidt liked thisThank you Matthew Volm Werner Schmidt (@Lative) and Aliza Kogan for introducing me to RevOps Co-op which helps organizations connect with one another, share best practices and customer success functions, while leveraging data-driven insights and technology to enhance demand generation, streamline sales processes, and accelerate profitable growth. I also had a wonderful opportunity to network with local professionals from a variety of companies, represent Best Buy Health and share our mission of enriching and saving lives through technology and meaningful human connections. It was rewarding to discuss our vision for achieving excellence by embracing and celebrating diversity, promoting the health, well-being, and quality of life of our employees and customers, and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Werner Schmidt liked thisWerner Schmidt liked thisGreat to attend the Medtech Conference at Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway with my colleague Gary Tighe MDI BA (Hons) It was a really valuable opportunity to meet with businesses across the medtech sector, hear about the opportunities and challenges they’re facing, and explore how trade credit can support their growth, both in Ireland and internationally. It was particularly interesting to hear how businesses are expanding into new markets and managing the risks that come with trading with customers at home and abroad. Thanks to everyone who took the time to chat with us, and to the organisers for putting together a great event. #Medtech #Galway #TradeCredit #Insurance #BusinessGrowth #InternationalTrade #WTW

Werner Schmidt liked thisWerner Schmidt liked thisSmall business owners don’t have the luxury of spending hours figuring out which AI model is best. They’re busy running their businesses. That was one of the things I talked about when I sat down with the BBC’s Big Boss podcast. For me, the real opportunity from AI isn’t the technology itself. It’s what it gives people back. Less time spent on admin or chasing invoices. More time serving customers, understanding what’s happening in their business and thinking about where growth comes from next. And growth has to be a real focus for everyone. What we’re seeing at Sage is businesses becoming more efficient, but remaining cautious about investing. AI can create more capacity, but businesses also need the confidence to invest behind it. We covered this and much more - from what the UK needs to get growth moving, to some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way, including living through the dotcom crash. Thanks to Sean Farrington and the BBC for a great conversation. Werner Schmidt liked thisWerner Schmidt liked thisChicago didn’t need a panel to get into the real work. Last night, we brought RevOps operators together in the Loop with Qobra and Lative for a dinner built around honest GTM conversation, good food, and the kind of peer-to-peer problem-solving that rarely happens on a webinar. The room got into the stuff revenue teams are actually wrestling with right now: - Comp plans that drive the right behavior - Planning assumptions that don’t survive first contact with reality - Forecasts, capacity, territories, pipeline, and all the messy connective tissue between strategy and execution Big thank you to Werner Schmidt, Darin Medeiros, Antoine Fort, Alexander Mackinlay, Olia Chrzanowska, Axel DUPUIS, Qobra and Lative for partnering with us on the night, and to everyone who joined the conversation. Chicago showed up. More operator dinners coming soon. #RevOps #RevenueOperations #GTM #SalesOps #ChicagoEvents #RevOpsCommunity

Werner Schmidt liked thisWerner Schmidt liked thisRevOps in the Windy City last night was 🤌🏼 💚 such in incredible evening in Chicago last night - and in standard RevOps Co-op fashion we had to add an extra dinner table because so many of y'all showed up. The global RevOps Co-op community is 21k+ members strong, and yet I'm always amazed at how strong the reach truly is And even more amazed at how incredible our community members are Like, last night at dinner one member shared a prompt on how to turn slides into video presentations And then helped someone else do it right there...at the table...on their phone...with a real slide deck they were preparing for a meeting next week...like, how incredible is that 🤷🏻♂️ To all the Chicago operators that showed up and showed out last night - Anand Patil André Soravassi do Carmo Ben B. Christopher King Dana Albrecht Eric Bernhold Jose Herrera Kimberly Reff Lauren Silvers, Ph.D. Maxwell Stephan-Queen Mitch Osborne Monica P. Sandra Judge Travis Kohlbauer Valerie Sugrue William J. Main Andy DeBoer and everyone else who was there, y'all rock 🫶 And none of the fun last night would've been possible without the support of our incredible sponsors - Lative and Qobra. Huge thanks to Axel DUPUIS Alexander Mackinlay Olia Chrzanowska Werner Schmidt and Darin Medeiros for last night 🙏🏻 Now off to NYC 🗽 for a dinner event in the big apple with Qobra tonight while the Lative crew heads to San Diego 🌊 with Aliza Kogan for a dinner event there Until next time Chicago ✌🏻 #revops #revenueoperations

It was a pleasure to join Simon in the latest episode of Cracking the EMEA Revenue Code. Simon and I discussed where the biggest growth opportunities are right now in EMEA. With tighter consumer spending and cautious enterprise budgets, buyers are asking: Can you deliver the same results while reducing costs? It all comes down to value-led solutions. Companies leveraging AI to help customers do more with less aren’t just surviving, they’re capturing new market share. Focus on value. Drive impact. Repeat. 🤝 Pumped to officially share our Consensus partnership with Gong 💨 Sales teams want to move fast. Presales teams need consistency and control. Too often, those goals compete. This partnership fixes that. 🕣 We are creating intent and buying signals across synchronous and asynchronous buying motions like never before! 🔗 With Consensus + Gong, reps can build and send personalized, presales-approved demos directly inside Gong—and everyone gets visibility into what buyers actually engage with. 🚦Less friction. Better signal. Stronger follow-up. 🙌 This is what a modern revenue workflow should look like. Excited for what this unlocks for our teams and our customers. Huge thanks to Patrick Burke and the whole Gong team for their collaboration, imagination and a genuine desire to deliver the revenue engine of the future. I’m delighted Let’s go Deirdre Sweeney
