Best hotel company I will ever stay in

Best hotel company I will ever stay in, I’ve stayed in 2 of these, one in Barry island wales and another in ryhl wales. Best staff ever, so kind and patient, beds are well made and comfortable. Tv works very well and very nice view from ryhl travelodge seafront.

London Liverpool Street 26-29th June FLEA BITES

London Liverpool Street 26-29th June. Room 511. Myself and my partner ended up with flea bites. I've spoken to Charlotte at their Customer Services, who says they've done an investigation. No evidence. Despite the bites down my leg, which are still healing, two weeks later. The one on my arm is still bad.
Looking at legal advice this afternoon. No Travelodge in the future for us.

Stayed at TL Dublin Airport (Swords)

Stayed at TL Dublin Airport (Swords). Whole establishment is 20 years past its sell by date. No lifts, no aircon in rooms (it’s mid summer!), towels the size of postage stamps. High bath doubling as a shower in old bathroom. Ergo over priced. Seems TL are providing late C20th accommodation at 2026 prices!

On the plus side comfortable bed, Good pillows. Overall cleanliness good.

Small groups of young men of European and African descent frequent this establishment.

Used the Smokin Bones diner for dinner and breakfast. Food and service OK at best.

Finally, here’s the thing - when you visit Ireland, one of the things you look forward to is encountering folk with Irish charm and those amazing accents! Not forgetting their wit.

I encountered about 16 staff during my stay. Not a single one of them had an Irish accent or gave me the impression they originated on the Emerald Isle.

First experience of Travelodge

This was our first ever visit to a Travelodge. My husband & I had booked in at Cockermouth for one night, so that we could be in the area for my Uncle's funeral the next morning. We were rather surprised to find we had been given a family room, so there were 2 extra beds (single) in the room as well as the king-sized. The pillows were rather too soft & as we only had 1 each, we borrowed an extra each from the other beds/ spares on the shelf. The bed was comfy (though higher up than we're used to!) and the curtains were good at keeping the light out, but sadly, I didn't sleep much - my husband had turned the heating up earlier & we had forgotten to turn it back before we went to bed, so I was too warm. (Plus his heavy breathing/snoring kept me awake!) I also found that, if I turned away from facing the window, I could see the light on the smoke detector near the door constantly flashing - I don't know if that means it needs its battery replacing or the whole alarm needs replacing. Thankfully it didn't beep though. Although close to the A66, we never heard any traffic noise at all, and apart from the occasional sound of doors shutting, we never heard the other guests either.
When in the shower, I discovered the shower gel/shampoo dispenser was empty, but as I had already brought my own, it wasn't really an issue. It took me a minute of two to figure out how to get hot water to come out of the shower nozzle rather than the bath taps!
The room was clean, there was a kettle & tea, coffee & milk cartons - which we replenished from reception the following morning.
The breakfast was plentiful, though not all the hot food was very hot; the staff were very friendly and helpful - heated up my croissant & after breakfast, when my husband needed to refill the screen wash bottle in the car, provided a plastic jug for him to do so.
The only real issue I had was with the WiFi. We had paid in advance for 24 hours WiFi, and the confirmation email gave the access code. However, when I tried to use it on my phone, it said the code had already been used & just kept sayting 'please wait while we tried to connect you'. My husband went to reception & was given a sheet of paper with a different code; he used it & was successfully able to access the WiFi on his laptop. However, I was unable to return to the original screen on my phone & so kept getting the 'please wait while we try to connect you' message. In the end I gave up trying!
All in all, a pleasant stay, reasonably priced & we would consider Travelodge in the future.

We booked this accommodation and paid........

We booked this accommodation and paid in advance. Upon arrival, there were suspicious characters standing outside the entrance, which immediately made us feel uncomfortable. When we entered, the receptionist asked if we had a reservation. We confirmed that we did, but she then told us that we had not paid and that we would not be given access to our room unless we paid again.

This was extremely distressing. We had driven for 3 hours and 45 minutes and were exhausted, simply wanting to check in and rest. The receptionist said we would receive a refund if we had indeed already paid, but she did not give us sufficient time to go through our emails to show proof of payment. Feeling pressured and tired, we paid for the room a second time in person, despite having already paid through the app.

When we went upstairs, the corridor smelled strongly of urine, which seemed soaked into the carpets. Upon entering the room, we were shocked by the lack of cleanliness. There was bright green mucus on the toilet, shaving hairs in the sink, long hairs on the bed, and the TV remote was covered in dirt and dust.

We returned to reception and were given another room just two doors down on the same corridor. Unfortunately, this room was in an equally unacceptable condition. There was mucus on the wall, a blood-covered bandage left in the toilet, and the sink contained dirty water with black debris floating in it.

We went back to complain and explained that the conditions were completely unsatisfactory and that we wanted a refund. We were told that it was Booking.com’s issue and that we needed to take it up with them.

I am appalled at how both my friend and I were treated. We did not stay at this property and instead booked into Kettles Country House Hotel, where we had an excellent experience. I am deeply disappointed and disgusted that this establishment is allowed to operate in such a manner.

Room was old, dirty & cold water.

Room was old & dirty. I asked for disinfectant spray in the hotel chat bc I had asked where the ice machine was & they responded back so quickly. No response regarding disinfectant spray. We checked in late & only used the room to change our clothes & go out to dinner. When we returned around 11pm, I ran water in the hot tub in our suite, the water was just barely luke warm (definitely not shower temp much lot hot tub)! It was late & my husband spent an hour using a pot & the stove to try to give me hot water. The next morning I called priceline bc that's where I booked, they told me to talk to Andy at the front desk. I then took a cold bath & went down. Andy questioned why I contacted priceline & not him first after he pretty much called me a liar about the water being cold. He followed me to our floor & checked the water in the room next to us (same issue)! He told us he'd bump up the hot water temp & we could go from there. He texted on the chat the water was ran for 10 mins & hot. When I returned to our room, I checked, but the water was still not at the temperature for a decent shower, but a bit warmer. My husband did not want the hassle of moving for one more night. We agreed to stay & I asked for a credit for the 1st night, Andy agreed to $50. I messaged in the chat (so I would have documentation) for verification of the $50 credit. They responded that I needed to contact priceline! With priceline on the line, I went to the desk & was told the credit & documentation would not happen. My husband & I were frustrated & told them we wanted a refund & were leaving. Room was dirty, toliet stayed running unless you pulled the flusher back up, water held him the sink, garbage disposal didn't work, chain on door was broken, COLD water & rude front desk staff. I spent $100 more for a hot tub I couldn't use! Hotel smelt like weed the moment you walked in the door. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Do not recommend (worst 3 nights ever)

Will not advise anyone to stay at this hotel It does not deserve a star at all. The hotel has a ticketed event that plays loud music till 1:30 am and i was not told Bout it when I booked the room, the rooms didn't get cleaned for the entire 3 nights and it has been very hot. I paid for breakfast and it was awfull. The girl who was on duty Friday the 15th of August 2025 finished her shift before 11pm midnight was very rude could not even give us towels had to wait an hour to get towels from the kind gentleman who was taking over the shift from her. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Holiday inn and travel lodge is much better than this hotel

My reservation number is 112078511 a…

My reservation number is 112078511, i`m asking for a refund or a hold on the booking for future use, i booked this train journey from Glasgow Scotland to Tamworth England to visit my very ill mother 90yrs, i live on the west coast of Scotland i booked this accommodation with travelogue on the 18/07/25 at 16.13pm for my stay on 21/07/25 sadly i had a phone call that night at 11.36pm that my mother had passed away so now i wish to cancel or put a hold on my reservation for this room.
I know i had a non refunding room rate however it had been 7 hour prior that i had booked i phoned the customer service and asked if i could put a hold on the booking for another time the agent told me to cancel the booking and when i needed to stay again just put in the conformation reservation number and i would be credited for this however this is not the case as i have tried to day.
Do to my mother passing being a genuine reason to put a hold on or cancel my reservation can you not show a little compassion for this issue to be refunded.
With kind regards.
Major Glyn Athony Day.

We stayed at The Travelodge

We stayed at The Travelodge, Thurrock, Lakeside

Dawn and Megan were on duty. On the first night the bar/food area was very busy. Apparently a lot of people were staying as they were boarding a cruise the following morning. Despite being very busy they were polite, professional, friendly and kept being apologetic for any delays which I understood perfectly but some did not. Maybe on these occasions the staffing levels could be increased

Very basic

Friendly staff and clean room but very basic.
A double room (for two people has no wardrobe) has six hangers and no drawers or shelves - had to leave clothes on one of the plastic chairs, not ideal when staying more than a night. Rooms are only cleaned every 6 days unless to ask. There are no ‘extras’ at all such as glass/paper cup in bathroom, tissues or a hairdryer. I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re looking for somewhere basic to sleep for a night - not a ‘holiday hotel’.

ROOM 15 South cave on M62Sunday…

Booked in at South cave on M62 Sunday 11th May 2025
Facilities is a Shell Garage all at overpriced goods
Checked in around 7pm got settled in (room 15 end one on ground floor please avoid). Had a long day got our head down then at around 11pm the person above was back and forth, and the floor was creaking in a few places as they walked what believe bathroom and bed .this continued for an hour easily which woke us up.Im not saying the person above was well built but it was like an elephant moving around. But I do believe the floors above should be of sound structures so you DON'T HEAR PEOPLE WALKING AROUND. Then they got up at 2am to go to the bathroom and woke us up, and then at 5am was getting up and walking about again possibly for an early start for over an hour repeating the same again. On inspection of the ceiling in our room it looks like it's had some work done on it (BEING A BUILDER IN MY TIME fitting Dormas on roofs etc.what ever has been done hasn't been done right, you can see a bulge across the ceiling from window to bathroom whether it's the ceiling that's been renewed and then artexed and painted. I can't be the only one that's stayed in this room and not had this issue, either way it's not fit for purpose. TRAVELODGE I recommend CEO stays in room 15 and ill come and stay above, YOU'LL THEN KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

I stayed at the Travelodge in Lewisham…

I stayed at the Travelodge in Lewisham High Street this week. I must say that the guy on reception and the young lady at the bar were very welcoming. Upon arrival in the evening and as I was starving, I asked the gentleman if they served food and he said yes and showed me the menu. I ordered some chicken breast, chips and salad. The place was not very busy but after ordering, I waited a long time for the food to arrive and when it did both the chicken breast and chips were lukewarm. I did not want to cause a scene so I did not say anything to the server.

I did not receive an apology for the delay in my food. However, I clearly heard the server offered an apology to the person she served right after me for their food being delayed. I am an Afro Caribbean woman and the other person was a English (white person). That behaviour was very unprofessional and I was offended but did not want to cause a scene so again did not make any comment about this.

Please Travelodge, get your staff to treat everyone equally!!!! This is the first time I have experience this behaviour in your hotel and it is not acceptable. Please do something about it, perhaps a little Equality Training is overdue.
