Stay far away from RoyalDesign. We received a lamp that didn’t work right out of the box, and trying to return it or get a refund has been a nightmare. Customer service takes weeks—literally weeks—to respond, and when they finally do, nothing actually moves forward.

The whole process feels deliberately exhausting, as if the goal is to drag things out long enough that customers simply give up. Getting help or resolving the issue seems almost impossible.

After this experience, I have zero trust in this company and will absolutely never buy from them again. Avoid the frustration and shop somewhere else.

A truly awful, awful experience with Royal Design. We purchased a table in November. It arrived damaged in December. We reported the damage upon receipt. Royal Design were unable to offer a replacement table, so we asked for a refund. We have still not been refunded, despite repeated chasing. Their customer service and refund teams are very hard to get hold of and unbelievably slow to return our money. Last week, they told me it could still be two weeks or more due to a backlog they are working through - having previously told me it would have been paid by now. I cannot recall a worse customer experience than this. Looking at others’ messages with similar experiences on Trustpilot, one wonders if they are in financial difficulty and simply do not have the cash to pay customers what they are owed?
Like others, having exhausted all efforts to secure a refund with Royal Design, I will be contacting my credit card provider next week to see what they can do and lodging a complaint with Trading Standards.

Good selection, Swift delivery - but impossible to get in touch with customer service when needed. Based on this I would stay away from them.

I would give them 0 if possible. Bought 2 bar stools. Both were in pieces within 2 weeks from very light use. They are not fit for purpose and dangerous. Customer service is a joke. I emailed with pictures and initially they were responding quickly. They then hilariously offered me a discount on the stools which were broken in many pieces. I turned them down and requested a refund to which I was told claims department would be in touch. I sent another email a few weeks later when I had heard nothing and customer service said or replacement order will be dispatched soon. I replied several times saying I did not ask for replacements but a refund and have heard nothing in response. I have even had a dispatch email. I would be so embarrassed to have such poor professional conduct. Stay away from this company, they sell faulty products, refuse to take responsibility and have zero respect for their customers once they have your money.

The delivery charge is 69 NOK, whereas the return charge is 199 NOK for a towel worth 324 NOK, which looks very old to me. Unsubscribing myself.

I had this weird empty corner in my apartment that always looked dull so i decided to look for something that I can put there and i found a unique wall art piece in Royal Design but they sent me the wrong model and look cheap. It din't compromise with my living room. They need to be more careful with orders!

The lamp is nice but after installing I noticed the metal top has rust and flaking paint. As it was now installed I am willing to live with it but not very impressed with quality or quality control.

Ordered from this store as the indicated item in stock, weeks before Christmas and guarantee to deliver before the holidays. Kept silent when they knew they couldn’t deliver ( item was actually sold out, including at manufacturer) took 7 weeks to deliver, no apology whatsoever.

Helt utrolig rask levering og info hele veien. Even more impressed that this happend between ordering Des 26th and it still arrived 3 days later. Impressed.
