I am extremely disappointed with my experience.
I ordered this necklace as a special gift for my boyfriend and was excited to give it to him. Unfortunately, the product and service fell far below expectations.
Firstly, the engraving was done very poorly. Instead of being smooth, neat, and professional, it was uneven, bumpy, and looked rushed. For a personalized item that is meant to carry sentimental value, the quality was unacceptable.
Secondly, the delivery took well over 14 days. What made this even more frustrating was the lack of communication. I only discovered there was a delay after I personally followed up. Prior to that, I had received emails creating the impression that my order was already on its way, which was misleading and left me constantly wondering where my purchase was.
The most disappointing part is that because the necklace arrived already packaged in a gift box, I did not open it before gifting it to my boyfriend. I only became aware of the poor engraving quality when he opened it. When I raised my concerns, I was immediately referred to a 7-day return policy rather than being offered a meaningful solution, despite the fact that the defect could not reasonably have been discovered without opening a gift that was intended for someone else.
I paid for a personalized gift, waited far longer than expected, received substandard workmanship, and then felt dismissed when I tried to resolve the issue.
I have lost both money and the opportunity to give the quality gift I intended. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for personalized jewelry or reliable customer service.

I love the meals and the variety. I also like the grocery and breakfast options. My only complaint about this is when they gives us potatoes for fries they only give one for 2 meals and also for sauce such as the ranch taziki same problem. Why can’t we have one per serving I usually add an extra potato and want more sauce.

I’ve been a loyal subscriber to Purple Carrot. The last order I placed with them was incorrect. I made updates on the website and saved, however the website did not update. There are known glitches on the website and app. I contacted customer service immediately and was told there was nothing that could be done although my items wouldn’t ship for another week. So I’m stuck paying for meals I don’t want. I cancelled my subscription due to the lack of empathy and effort with their customer service team. In this economy, I only plan to patronize companies that value me as a customer.

Be VERY cautious of this company. The food is not bad. BUT, you WILL order and they WILL change the order to ship what they have. They have done this to me over 5 times. Today (02/25) was the final straw. Oh, also: I noticed the deliberate change today ONE WEEK before the erroneous shipment and they said (as they always do) that they cannot CORRECT the order. ONE WEEK in advance!!!!! Richard D

They ruined my Thanksgiving - Box arrived after the holiday and they refused to care or properly make things right!!!! They refused to refund and I had to go back and forth with them over and over. Was just charged an authorized charge now in 2026 and they are refusing to refund again - charged AFTER account is canceled. So shady, so unethical for a supposedly "vegan" family friendly company. I would leave zero stars if I could.
Worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

Ordered what I thought was going to be a one-time trial of prepared entrees from Purple Carrot...food was underwhelming, with most entrees heavy on fat content and carbohydrates. The food was edible but tastless, not what I expected from as advertised a healthy plant based meal.
Plant based meatballs were like rubber and chickpeas were crunchy (and not in a good way). Thought I was through with this company, but no, they send me another shipment which was never requested, and was never notified of until the shipping notice was sent out. They're very good on sending shipping notices, but not so good in informing a customer to make choices or suspend or cancel the next shipment in advance. After receiving the notice of the shipment, I requested to cancel it but never received a response. The second shipment arrived tonight with food partially spilled in the carboard box: again, contacted Purple Carrot, but this time they responded almost immediately (surprise!) and offered to compensate me for $20. I can't comment on the meal kits as I haven't tried them, only the prepared meals, hence the generous two stars review here. But the prepared ones are just ...well, crap.

Shady. Shady. Shady. Cancelled the subscription 2 times already and still they send packages and bill for it. No customer support either, all Ai.

Terrible food and completely agree with one poster re not being able to stop a delivery. I ordered years ago and just happened to look again on their website. Next thing I know I’m being sent a box of food I never ordered. Their excuse was it couldn’t be stopped. I was furious!
I tried the lasagne and it was disgusting. As a matter of fact I was very sick the next day, lots of vomiting etc. I shall throw rest of the meals in trash. Horrible horrible food and horrible service. No way would I recommend this company.

Absolutely shady business practices. You cancel but they still send you product and charge you. Their seemingly only customer service employee “Jessica” won’t give you a full refund but only a measly $25. They will keep sending you product and continue charging you even after you have your financial institution stop charges. Shady as hell.

I have always been very satisfied with the food quality until just recently. I had several rotten veggies, and then I placed an order but put it on skip, not knowing if I would be back in town. I was, so I took it off skip, but I didn't realize their menus revert to their original state. I thought I was getting what I chose, but I did not. I received three meals I would not have chosen, and I was so upset that I think I will just give Purple Carrot a break and am not sure if I will return. I explained this to customer service, and they did not help with this issue. I expected that, being a customer for a long time (2 years), customer service would have fixed this since it’s an adjustment in your programming that caused the switch in the order, not me. I will most definitely add this remark to Purple Carrots' website review.

Several years ago we subscribed to Purple Carrot and the food was delicious and healthy. However, upon trying to re-subscribe, they sent my food to the wrong address...twice. The first time I just assumed it was my fault but the second time I checked and re-checked it had the correct address. I did. Of course, sent to the wrong place and when I reached out (both times actually) their respsonse was pretty much, oh well. Actually, the first time I didn't get a response at all. My guess is there is a glitch somewhere, but I honestly have no idea. I don't need a lot from companies, except for like, you know, the bare minumum of getting what you paid for- or at least something in exchange for spending money on a company.

Another delivery another package of missed ingredients. In the age of AI I can't understand how a company can miss so many ingredients in what they promise to ship. I've been told the same thing every time I call and I'm so sick of it I finally decided to track my future deliveries and share what's missing in my reviews.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! RECEIVED THREE, PREPARED ONE, COULDN'T FINISH EATING IT, HAD TO THROW THE REST AND ALL OF THE OTHERS AWAY! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I had no experience. I went through the trouble of creating an account. Ordering food. I paid them. Then they never delivered anything. So I cancelled. I’ve never reviewed anything online before. This felt worthwhile. Stay away.
I was disappointed with my experience with Purple Carrot. Although I had skipped multiple weeks, I was unexpectedly charged and sent a box because my subscription wasn’t fully canceled. What’s most frustrating is that I had received clear reminders (via text and email) for previous orders—but received no notification this time. The company says they don’t send reminders, but that’s clearly not consistent.
When I reached out, customer service explained the policy but didn’t acknowledge the issue with inconsistent communication. I’ve now canceled my subscription, but the lack of transparency and confusing messaging left a bad impression.
I tried purple carrot for two weeks. I am Whole Foods Plant Based. I ordered the meals because they are Plant Based. I am very disappointed. The meals don’t have a lot of flavor. It seems that they use no imagination in planning the meals. You have to order the same items over and over. There is no variety. They cost between 13 and $14. I feel that this is pretty expensive for the quality and the ingredients.
First of all, I was just looking and trying to find plant based healthy, low calory ready to eat food.
It would not allow me to even see a menue or see the calories/proteins/sodium or anything without putting my card in. But when I saw how high the calories and sodium were, I backed out deleting my card info as not to order. Guess what? They still signed me up for a subscription and sent food. It tasted like cardboard and it was awful!!!! Plus, there is no phone number to call. They give you an email and a phone# to text. I sent both a text and email and they did not reply to either. I googled how to cancel and had to log in and it was quite tricky, which is the reason they do not reply and only allow you to cancel by logging in. After I logged in, I could see it was canceled, so it better not charge me or send me more food. I called my bank to block the charge..
It's 5:45 pm now, shipment was due to arrive "by end of day" today. Turns out, end of day means 10 PM at night. Not sure where the ready-to-eat meals are made, but I can't imagine they'll be safe to eat by then. I wonder how old they are by the time they give them to the shipper. I would think a perishable food company would contract for delivery before most people go to bed at night. I guess I'll have to stay up late waiting. So not cool. Really disappointed.

I selected the vegan prepared meal option. I've eaten 2 and just threw one away, Burrito Bowl.
The food is not edible. The presentation is terrible. All the food looks old, brownish grey. The smell is a stench.
I'm not a picky eater and I can't eat this. The 2 I ate, and today's all have a weird sourish flavor and the odor is very tangy.
