Food was great, meat very tasty and tended. Delivery in time. Portions well designed.

Lots of variety, like you can prioritize what’s important to you. Easy to use website.
Portions on the protein are small, I compared what I paid for a week with how much at my local store and local came out significantly cheaper.

I completed a survey of the types of food I like and don’t like. So far the meals have been on point; high quality, very tasty and easy to prepare with the recipe/instructions. Even the help me. Even the cooler packs can be reused when thawed to feed your lawn. Nothing goes to waste. Everything can be recycled.

All of the food arrived in great shape. I've had four of the seven meals so far this week and all were really good.

So far everything tastes great, is easy to prepare and fresh! Love it, because I don’t have to figure out what to make for dinner!

The quality and the quantity are very good. Much above average for others. The ordering process and credit system is confusing and not intuitive. Need to be able to input your menu choices more than a week ahead.

I am loving it! I no longer have to spend hours searching for gluten and dairy free. Hungryroot does the work for me! Cooking is actually fun now. Perfect portions and sometimes leftovers!

Everything is fresh and delicious! There are foods and snacks that cater to my lifestyle-with all its restrictions!!! (That’s the best part) Hungryroot has done all the heavy lifting for me; literally. Gluten-free, low sodium; non-GMO meals and snacks. You owe it to yourself to try them….you will not regret it. I was a loyal Hungryroot customer for nearly two years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing.

After eating food from one of our Hungryroot deliveries, both my husband and I became extremely ill. Our symptoms were severe enough that I sought treatment in the emergency room on April 24, 2026, and we incurred medical and prescription expenses as a result.

Because we both became ill after eating the same Hungryroot meal, we were naturally very concerned that the food may have been connected to our symptoms. I understand that without laboratory testing it is not possible for me to definitively establish the source of the illness, so I am not claiming that Hungryroot was medically proven to have caused it. I am simply describing the sequence of events as we experienced them.

I contacted Hungryroot promptly and provided information regarding the order, along with supporting documentation concerning the incident and my medical treatment. Given the seriousness of what happened and the fact that we had been long-term customers, I was extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled.

My biggest concern was not simply that we became sick after eating the meal, but the response I received when I reported such a serious experience. I expected a company that delivers perishable food products to treat a report involving two customers becoming severely ill with urgency, concern, and thorough follow-up.

This experience completely changed the way I feel about Hungryroot. After nearly two years as a customer, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the service.

I am sharing this review so other customers can make their own informed decisions based on my experience.

Talk about convenience! I am absolutely loving this food service and I have tried so many different ones in the past. I love how customizable it is. Thank you!!!

The selections are good, however the edits are challenging to say the least. I thought I was going to pay one fee however my next bill the charged me an extra $38 and I did not do over my credits. You are almost afraid to make changes because they will charge you. I will give it another week and hopefully they will credit me my money. If not, I will cancel my subscription and learn to cook my own meals.

I tried hungryroot and I love it I’m so impressed with how nicely my food was packaged everything I have eaten has been fantastic! I thank you so much! I loved it so much I referred 3 people!

Hungry root is mostly user friendly while placing an order. Liked I had a tutorial but it showed up after I had an order. I liked the layering of products in between layers of ice packs. The box came banged up and ripped. Fed Ex barely put the box on the porch. I hoping next time they follow directions. I like that you can use the ice packs to water your plants.

I made a purchase today 08/29/2026. After making it I realized this plan would not work for me. Immediately tried to cancel purchase and subscription to no avail. No help from the AI and no response from customer service. No one was available! I sent a text but will take up to 48 hrs. to reply. It seems they make it impossible to cancel. Tried calling my credit card and they cannot help either.

The meals are planned for you and easy to prepare. The food is very fresh and lean. The snacks are delicious also. Really enjoying the food!

Mostly good. Bagged salads are not good. We’ve had 2 in our first delivery. Also, we were missing sliced cheese for one recipe. The black bean and sweet potato burgers were excellent.

I have only gotten one box so far and I’m looking forward to getting a second. I actually got plenty of food almost too much so I may adjust a little bit, but most of the food was really fresh and I’ve enjoyed most of the new recipes, I’ve tried.

Great food. I live alone so the meals are always too much. I do eat leftovers so they last awhile. I have found I don’t need to order every week. The quality of food is exceptional! Fresh produce!! Well packaged. Appreciate the plant fertilizer for the cold packs 🤗🌸
