Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 81 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained that the products were of extremely poor quality, feeling exceptionally cheap, thin, poorly constructed, and failing to match the online photos. Buyers also mentioned that sizing varied significantly between different clothing styles, making it very difficult to find a proper fit when ordering online. Many people struggled with unexpected financial expenses, as returning items incurred steep flat fees and heavy import duties were never reimbursed. Some reviewers were happy with the clothing, mentioning that certain dresses were good quality, true to size, and featured appealing styles.

I had a relatively good experience…

I had a relatively good experience ordering from meshki to the UK so I thought I’d share.

I bought a £115 dress (less than £135 so I didn’t have to pay any customs), used student discount & paid for express delivery which came to a total of £116.

Ordered on a Monday, it was dispatched Tuesday with DHL and arrived on Friday (expected delivery date was the following Monday, so 3 days early).

The dress fits well, looks nice and is very flattering (I won’t return it - plus if I did, I’d only get back £84 I think) but the quality is disappointing. Cheap material and detailing meaning, especially up close, it does not look worth £115. Kinda giving shein.

So overall I was pleased with the delivery experience, but not thrilled about the dress.

ZERO STARS

ZERO STARS. I returned 3 items to them in the SAME box, including a £700 wedding dress from their bridal collection. They coincidentally refunded me for the two cheap items and claimed they never returned the £700 dress!!!! Currently out of pocket £700 and I have absolutely no idea what to do. Gobsmacked.

Such a poor customer experience

Such a poor customer experience, especially for UK customers, and they do not care. You can lose an alot of money ordering from them when you return, because they charge high shipping fees and you're subject to duty and taxes. Mentioned in small print buried in lots of little links on the site. Would strongly warn to avoid them.

If there was an option for 0 stars

If there was an option for 0 stars, I’d have selected it! The dress looked and felt like a bunch of knitting and netting, so I decided to return it. On top of the £10 I paid to have the dress shipped to me, I was then charged £15 to send it back. So, I’ve effectively paid £25 for an item I didn’t even keep. What a complete rip-off!

Ridiculous returns process

Cut £15 for returns and £50 for 'duties' - I have been asking for a receipt/proof of duties Meshki has paid but they keep sending me an invoice. I've paid £80+ for a return. I wouldn't recommend.

I ordered a dress from Meshki UK and…

I ordered a dress from Meshki UK and paid €154 for it. The dress is completely see-through—something that was impossible to tell from the photos on the website. When I tried to initiate a return, they suddenly reduced the refund amount to €120; then, when I got the return label, it stated €100. Worst of all, the return couldn't be sent to the original shipping location (the UK) but had to go to Australia, which would have cost me €85.

Meshki UK is possibly one of the worst online clothing retailers

Meshki UK is possibly one of the worst online clothing retailers. They ship to the UK from overseas, which means the prices displayed on their website do not include import fees or shipping costs. Customers should also be aware that if they return an item, they must pay the return shipping costs themselves, and they will not be refunded the original shipping charges or any import fees they have already paid.

When I contacted customer service, they simply repeated what was stated in their terms and conditions, without offering any assistance.

Avoid if you don't want to risk unexpected extra costs.

Poor returns policy

Poor returns policy. Charging nearly £15 for a return is madness. It’s as if they’re forcing you to keep an item that’s not suitable. When you buy something online, it’s difficult to know exactly what the finished product will be like. This company clearly doesn’t care about its customers and seems willing to do whatever it can to keep as much of your money as possible. Customer definitely need to be warned, as I won’t be purchasing from them again.

Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

We contacted meshki less than 10 minutes after placing our order and asked them to cancel it because the customs charges were nearly 17% of the order value. According to their own policy, customers are allowed to request a cancellation within 10 minutes of placing an order.

Despite contacting them within this timeframe, they only responded a day later, saying that the order had already been processed. They even acknowledged that we had contacted them within 10 minutes, yet still claimed they were unable to cancel it. This felt completely unreasonable and disrespectful to us as customers.

When the order arrived and I decided to return it, they deducted an additional £15 from my refund. On top of that, I had already paid the customs charges.

Overall, this was an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. Between the customs fees, return deductions, and refusal to honor their own cancellation policy, I ended up losing a significant amount of money. I would not recommend ordering from this company. Be very careful about the additional costs and return policy before placing an order.

I recently order over £1.7K of clothing…

I recently order over £1.7K of clothing as I wanted some options for my hen do.
All of the clothes ended up arriving after my hen do so I didn’t even try any of the clothes on and sent all of them back paying the £15 per package return fee I was then advised that I would only receive a £1.5k refund. After emailing the customer services I was advised the outstanding amount related to the local governments duties and that I would need to contact DHL to request an invoice and then raise with HMRC for a refund of these duties.
Long story short DHL said the shipper (Meshki) were liable for the duties and that there was no UK invoice. I went back to Meshki with this info as it was conflicting what I had been told and asked them to clarify their position and where these duties had gone exactly. I got the same spiel about them being paid to the local government but I asked my complaint be escalated and I was finally refunded the duties in total without any further explanation of why this was so difficult to claim back and why Meshki seemingly just wanted to keep hold of over £200.
Absolutely avoid this company as a UK buyer they are not worth the hassle.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Overpriced returns postage

I wouldn’t even give this site a 1 star. If you are a UK citizen do not buy from this site. It’s says it’s a UK site but it’s not.
I had to return items I had purchased and it cost me £41.00 to return. The items came late to start then I had to purchase off another site. When I questioned the postage fee to return which should have been £14.95, meshki came back with Government shipping fees so they have to go back to Australia even though the return label was UK. Not worth the buy. Look elsewhere. So I am out of pocket by £41.00. I looked at the fees to return and it states £9.95, so they are not being lawful with their advertising. DO NOT ISE. I will be informing trading standards UK.

They send text messages.

I have not heard of this company. If I ever gave them my email or phone number I would have checked the box saying not to contact me or send notifications. I don't want text messages from companies. All marketing is harassment.

Lost package

They've managed to loose my package!
I've been continuously following up with their customer support, as I believed that the wait time is a bit long, but they've been saying it's normal. I've asked if they have access to carrier-side tracking that is not public and stated that I want to open an investigation, suddenly an email arrived explaining how they are very sorry and the package is lost...
Never ever ordering anything again! My honest advise is to avoid at all costs.

Also, just bcs your customer services agent is responsive, it doesn't mean it's helpful!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THE UK WITHOUT…

DO NOT ORDER FROM THE UK WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE RETURNS COSTS

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Meshki UK and would strongly caution UK customers before ordering, particularly if you are buying occasionwear and may need to return items.

I ordered through meshki.co.uk, paid in GBP, my bank transaction appeared as “Meshki UK”, and returns were handled via Royal Mail to a UK address clearly labelled “MESHKI RETURN - UK”. At every stage, the experience suggested I was purchasing from a UK-facing retailer with standard UK return expectations.

Unfortunately, the dresses themselves did not meet expectations in terms of fit and were not flattering, so I returned the full order. I expected to lose the stated return fee, which I accepted.

What I did not expect was to lose a further £74.41 in duties, despite returning everything. This was not sufficiently obvious to me during the purchasing process, and the only reference appears buried within a support article rather than being made clear at checkout or prominently within the returns policy.

When I raised this concern, customer service repeatedly explained what duties are rather than addressing the actual issue, which was the lack of transparency for UK customers. Despite explaining that the UK branding, UK transaction name, GBP pricing and UK returns process reasonably gave the impression of a UK retailer, my case was simply closed without properly responding to my concerns.

If you are ordering from the UK, please be aware that returning unsuitable items could cost you far more than the advertised return fee. Had this been made sufficiently clear, I would not have placed a large try-on order.

A very disappointing experience and poor handling of a genuine customer concern.
