I was on the monthly Ultimate plan (USD 135 per month). On 30 October 2026 my plan was changed to the annual Ultimate plan and my card was charged USD 1,440 through a payment page. I never approved this and got no confirmation.

I emailed their support email on 2, 16 and 30 October 2026 and have not had a single reply.

Their own Terms say you will have an opportunity to review and accept fees before you pay. That did not happen here. I have had to raise the charge with my bank and filed a complaint with the Hong Kong Consumer Council.

If you subscribe, check your card statement closely and keep records of your plan and any emails. I will update this review if MagicLight responds and refunds the charge.

An Expensive, Frustrating Waste of Time and Money

Title: MagicLight AI Ignores Your Scripts, Wastes Your Credits, and Customer Support Is Nowhere to Be Found

I genuinely regret paying for MagicLight AI. What was advertised as a convenient AI video creation tool has turned into one of the most frustrating software experiences I've had.

I purchased a paid subscription expecting to create videos from my own carefully written scripts. Instead, MagicLight repeatedly ignores my instructions, rewrites my stories, changes characters, removes important scenes and produces content that bears little resemblance to what I actually requested.

One particularly ridiculous example involved a Viking horror story. I supplied a complete script about a terrifying undead Viking corpse rising from its grave and attacking a warrior. MagicLight decided to turn it into a peaceful story about an elderly chieftain handing someone a map before returning to his grave.

I'm not joking. That was its interpretation of a horror story.

Even selecting "Use as is" did not stop the software from rewriting my work.

And here's the part that makes this experience especially unacceptable: you can end up spending additional credits trying to correct mistakes the software made in the first place.

Why should paying customers be charged repeatedly because the platform cannot follow basic instructions?

I also experienced problems with incorrect voice generation and contacted customer support. Despite waiting for a response, I have heard absolutely nothing back.

The entire experience feels like paying for the privilege of troubleshooting unreliable software.

Instead of saving time, MagicLight has cost me hours of frustration. Instead of giving me creative control, it repeatedly overrides my decisions. Instead of providing meaningful support, my complaint has gone unanswered.

My biggest complaints are:

The AI repeatedly ignores detailed scripts.

It changes stories and characters without permission.

Even the option to preserve the original script has not worked reliably.

Correcting unwanted results can consume additional paid credits.

Voice generation has produced incorrect results.

Customer support has failed to respond to my complaint.

The platform creates far more work than it saves.

I paid for a tool that was supposed to make video creation easier. Instead, I've spent my time fighting with software that seems determined to do everything except what I ask.

My advice: Think very carefully before spending your money on MagicLight AI. Do not assume that providing a complete script means the software will follow it, and do not assume that fixing its mistakes will be free.

I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

I have spent close to **$1,450** on this platform. One of my biggest concerns is that I was charged twice for the same Ultra subscription. Despite repeatedly requesting a refund for the duplicate charge, the company extended my subscription through 2028 instead of returning my money. **I never requested or authorized this extension.**

What makes the situation even more frustrating is the lack of responsive customer support. I have attempted to contact the company by phone and email, but my efforts to resolve the billing issue have been unsuccessful. As a paying customer, I expected better communication and accountability.

I subscribed to MagicLight AI primarily to create short drama movies. I provided detailed scripts, character descriptions, clothing requirements, and specific instructions for each scene. Unfortunately, the AI generated images that did not follow those instructions. Characters appeared in medical scrubs and stethoscopes during a casual workplace picnic, despite my clear dress-code requirements.

Generating the storyboard cost approximately **9,500 credits**. When I requested corrections, I was informed that regenerating the images would require additional credits. It is extremely frustrating to pay for an output that does not follow the original instructions and then be expected to pay again to correct it.

I understand that AI technology has limitations and that results may not always be perfect. However, customers deserve transparent billing, responsive support, and reasonable options for addressing errors without repeatedly incurring additional costs.

**My main concerns are:**
- Duplicate charges for the same subscription.
- An unwanted subscription extension through 2028 instead of the refund I requested.
- Unanswered phone calls and emails.
- AI-generated content that failed to follow detailed instructions.
- Additional credit charges to correct unsatisfactory results.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend MagicLight AI. I regret subscribing without researching the platform more thoroughly.

**My advice to potential customers:** Investigate the company's refund policy, subscription terms, customer support reputation, and credit system before making a financial commitment.

I hope MagicLight AI takes these concerns seriously, addresses my refund request, and improves its treatment of paying customers.

On April 12, 2026, I paid $143.64 for a 1-year MagicLight subscription. My account still shows the "Free" plan, and a project I created that same day now says "No Project Privilege".
I have contacted support several times by email the suppor of magiclight.ai with proof of payment, the project ID, and all the details, and I have never received a reply. I also posted in the #payment-feedback channel on Discord.
I liked the videos MagicLight made, but I have lost months of the subscription I paid for. I just want my annual plan activated on my account. Please respond.

I would not use paid for a year for 168$ and couldnt even make one 30sec animated video. looks like i will wait next month to finish that video :)

I am extremely disappointed with Magiclight AI. Their service has been a complete waste of time, effort, credits, and actual money. The generation progression is painfully slow, but the worst part is the final output.
Even if you go through all the steps—using the agent, adding your own custom characters, and building out your own story—the results are completely useless. It fails to deliver what it promises. Save your money and look for a different AI video tool. This one is not worth the frustration.

A TOTAL SCAM IN MY OPINION — STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!

I signed up for MagicLight AI's Pro plan at $44 a month, expecting to create high-quality videos. What a huge disappointment!

I burned through over 2,000 credits just to generate ONE 60-SECOND VIDEO! That's ridiculously expensive, especially considering I'm already paying $44 a month for the subscription.

But here's the worst part: the video quality is absolutely terrible! The voices and background music don't even match what's happening on screen. The dialogue is incomprehensible, the audio feels completely out of place, and nothing flows naturally. The whole thing is a mess, and the results are nowhere near worth the money.

Honestly, this feels like a complete scam to me! I feel like I've thrown my money down the drain. Between the overpriced subscription, how quickly the credits disappear, and the awful video quality, the whole experience has been incredibly frustrating.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I seriously regret paying for this subscription, and I would strongly advise anyone looking to create quality videos to avoid MagicLight AI. Based on my experience, it's simply not worth it.

Absolute rip off. I purchased a monthly subscription and only got to generate characters before it said I could progress to the video generating stage as I needed to spend $120.

Wish i'd read these reviews before wasting my time and money. The platform fails to deliver on multiple levels, charging credits for editing almost anything, it ignores clear prompts and is incredibly inconsistent with scenes. Does not follow the narrative of my scripts at all and there is no chat facility to support you like most other Ai platforms

Magic Light AI is junk. Watch the video on youtube then try to create it on magic light ai. its a joke dont waist your money, youve been warned. Its junk period.

I placed an order an opted into the annual plan by mistake. I reached out numerous times, they never replied. I used the services maybe once. I was really not impressed with it. It’s not worth the money.

I am stuck in a problem that can only be resolved by their end. I have tried contacting them multiple times on Facebook, Discord, etc., but I have received no replies at all, and I have been waiting for days.

I honestly regret wasting my time and credits on MagicLight AI. I wanted to create a simple 5-minute children's animation with consistent characters, voices, narration, music and smooth scene-to-scene continuity.

The result was completely unusable. The character's voice changed between scenes, some scenes had no narration at all, the audio was poorly mixed, and the overall result did not follow the story properly. I spent a huge amount of time trying to fix things that should have worked automatically.

For what the platform promises, the actual result was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend MagicLight for anyone who wants to create a professional children's animation without spending hours manually fixing every scene.

For my use case, this product was a complete waste of time and money.

Customer service is--and I mean this in the most literal, comprehensive sense possible--nonexistent. After umpteen WhatsApp messages, nothing but a series of the same canned responses that implied an answer was on the way.

The logical errors the AI inserts are appalling, yet hilarous. (Having two instances of the same character in action in the same frame happens in at least 30% of scenes, by my conservative estimate.) The one bright spot was that the absurd logical errors had my six and eight year old apoplectic with laughter. I spent hours trying to prompt glaring errors away, and I realize now I have to tap out.

This is a crappy product, itself probably coded by AI in a week. Alas, I am unable to come up with an English-language adjective that adequately invokes a quality of manifest worthlessness awful enough to provoke violent offense in a beholder, but Magiclight.AI has proven that we need one. MAF

The customer support is horrible. They don't respond to telegram. They ignore my messages. I don't recommend it

Bro, this has to be a joke 😂 I bought 17k credits because they advertise around 600 minutes of video. I made a 4-second video and it cost me around 1,300 credits. Every generated picture also uses credits.
I had already burned through 5,000+ credits before I could even properly start my project.
It's not even about the price, it's about the difference between what's advertised and what you actually get. This is my honest experience as of August 12, 2026. Pretty crazy.

I've been creating long-form videos- 16 to 18 minutes in lenght - using MagicLight AI. I really like the videos it produces. They look beautiful and are very easy to make. There are so many different types and styles of videos you can create. After a positive one-month trial, I decided to sign up for the annual plan. I'm very satisfied with the tool and highly recommend it.

I was charged a large sum on initial subscription which is not what it say. The is misleading and I have emailed magiclight for a refund. How do you charge a large sum of yearly amount which is not what is stated. This is like scamming. I have emailed twice without any respond. I need my refund.

As a first time AI platform user, it was a total learning experience on Magiclight.AI for me.

After a thorough research I found magiclight as a very user-friendly, high quality, intuitive generating and meeting requirement in a platform. I was happy in my choice.

My interest was to find an easy to create a story with consistent characters for long episode of 20 minutes [Magiclight Story to video]in a series, as beach stories for kids.

More impressed with the continuous improvement of new features of subtitles and background music. Their openness to suggestions was excellent. They have an amazing support team, guided me at crucial times. Subscription plans are good too.
