I bought these mainly for work because the office gets noisy in the afternoon. They don’t block everything which I actually like but they take the sharp edge off background sound. Voices still come through clearly. For daily use, they’ve been really practical.

They didn’t really work for me didn’t really block snoring and I didn’t find comfortable. When I tried to return them as advertised to seek a refund it was not straight forward. I had to pay a delivery fee in dollars and it wasn’t cheap. I was offered a 20% refund which eventually increased to 30% which i accepted as it was such a palaver and starting to seem expensive to return them! Disappointed as I was hopeful they would work.

My husband snores and this is the only device that gives me a full night of sleep. Highly recommend.

Still waiting for my order over a week later, they haven't even arrived in my country yet, and the customer service is useless.

I should have maybe read more of the negative reviews before dealing with this company. I purchased two sets, one sleep set for my wife who suffers from my snoring, and another that I thought might help in my workshop instead of the headphone type ear defenders I normally use. We persevered for a week or so but eventually both decided that the claims were grossly exaggerated and that they certainly weren’t worth the purchase price. My wife said that they were no better than the cheap yellow foam things she normally buys. As far as the claims and positive reviews go it seems to me that it’s a Hans Christian Andersen thing, you know, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. For those that don’t know the story it’s about a vane emperor who get’s tricked by two conmen who convince him that they can make him a beautiful suit in a magic cloth that’s invisible to fools. When they dress him in this magic suit nobody dares say that the emperor is naked for fear of looking like a fool.

But… that’s not the worst part of the story. The nightmare of trying to return the items!!! It has been told by numerous other reviewers and I can only agree and reiterate. Firstly the long winded process of initiating the return. You don’t actually see the returns address until you’ve completed the forms AND paid an overpriced purchase through Hears themselves, NOT with the shipper directly. In my case it was with PostNL and cost 25% MORE than a normal letterbox package. On top of that, during the returns purchase you are presented with dire warnings about the possibility of shipping damage and advice on even more expensive insurance. When I finally downloaded the label it was actually addressed to another shipping company with a local address within a 10 minute cycle ride from where I live!!! A couple of days later I received a notification that the return had been received and that the purchase price would be refunded a.s.a.p. That is now TWELVE days ago and although I replied to the last email two days ago querying the process there has been NO response. I get the feeling that their offer of 100 days return window actually refers to the time it will take to get your refund. It has been suggested in the few replies to negative reviews that they have a problem with their email load, to which I would reply, are there actually SO MANY dissatisfied customers?

To call it an out and out scam is probably going a bit far but it is a bit scammy, a bit unsavoury, and definitely NOT in the spirit of the legislation regarding on-line purchases as described in EU law. The whole thing is about self enrichment with little regard for customers except for the bla bla copy/paste responses feigning empathy but being actually quite empty. This is not a company to do business with and if not resolved quickly I will, as suggested by another reviewer, be contacting the ACM ConsuWijzer and my own legal insurance.

Quick delivery, and after years of using earplugs but still having disturbed sleep, Hears have been the only ones to make a difference! I’m sleeping better than ever, and eventhough they are more expensive than I usually spend, they’ve been worth every penny and I’m going to keep on using them! Absolute recommend

I used them while commuting and they made the loud parts less annoying. Not complete silence but that’s actually better for walking around and staying aware.

I have not even received my order and there are already issues. I asked Nodo (customer support) to rather cancel the order and process my refund. Not sure if this is a person or chat bot! Waiting on a response..
Communication can definitely be better as it creates insecurity about the validity of this company and product as well as order process.

I was mostly worried they would make conversations hard to hear. Thankfully, that hasn’t been an issue. People’s voices still sound normal, just with less noise around them.

Very disappointed with this company. I've been using earplugs for 25 years and at this stage have tried quite a few different types and the Hears plugs proved the least effective at reducing noise when trying to sleep. The people who seem to like these plugs are those who only want to take the edge off volume levels but if you need plugs to help you get a good night’s sleep these do not work because the noise reduction is subtle at best.

I’ve been trying to get a refund for a month now and they make you jump thru several hoops and in my case, I also had to pay €30 for a returns shipping label with a courier even though my delivery arrived by post and took over 2 weeks to get here. The returns shipping label they emailed me, (a week after I paid for it), was addressed to Germany. I could have posted the plugs to that address myself for €10 so why the high shipping costs when it comes to returns? I see comments left here by Hears blaming the shipping company that they use to handle the returns, but I think this is a cop out. If Hears has secured a shipping company that charges excessive shipping costs then Hears is ultimately responsible for that and should show the same respect and ethical practice to the customers returning their product as they do to the customers buying. That’s where the scam accusations are coming from. This company claims that they're overwhelmed with messages and uses that as an excuse to ignore customer emails and basically go dark but why not hire more people if you're that busy? Don't punish your customers because you won't grow your staff in line with your profits.

The plugs I returned to Germany arrived over a week ago according to the tracking but still no acknowledgement or refund and they're still ignoring my emails. I’m currently down €120 with the cost of the order and the return shipping. If they don’t refund soon I will be seeking a reimbursement through the European consumer centre and will be reporting the company to ACM ConsuWijzer in Holland for unscrupulous business practices. They have obligations to practice proper business operations, but judging from my experience and the many reviews I've seen of the company online, they’re not doing that.

This is still in process and I'll update later in the week if I make any progress with them.

I use them mainly when working in noisy places. They help me stay focused but I can still hear someone if they speak to me.

I bought some ear plugs to fit underneath my helmet when I am out on the bike and after some research I decided to buy from Hears. What a great choice, they fit great and after years of wearing foam ear protection these pop in and out with no messing about. The helmet fits over the top with no problem dislodging the ear plugs and there is none of the discomfort and soreness that come from foam plugs. The reduction in noise is perfect and still allows traffic awareness which is really important on the bike. All in all a great buy and I recommend them highly, especially to motorcyclists.

Fit great, comfortable, don't fall out, wear them on the motorcycle, do what they are supposed to do

I placed my order (#210222) on June 30th and paid immediately. On July 1st, I received an email promising processing within 1–2 business days. On July 3rd, they claimed there was a "processing delay." After three weeks of silence and excuses regarding my address being a "remote location," they finally informed me today that they will only ship the item if I pay an additional, undisclosed shipping fee. Holding a customer's funds for nearly a month, failing to fulfill the order under the agreed terms, and then demanding more money is an entirely unacceptable business practice. I have officially requested the cancelled status of my order and I demand a full, prompt refund to my account without further delay.

Wore them for a full evening and didn’t get any irritation. They stayed in place and didn’t make my ears sore.

I’ve just received your earplugs and want to return them straight away; they don’t meet my expectations at all. The noise reduction is minimal; my wax earplugs do the job five times better.
These earplugs are similar to the ones you get for free in hotels, but they’re certainly not worth 30 bucks a pair – cheap plastic and packaging.

I bought these mainly for concerts but started using them in loud restaurants too. They make conversations easier without blocking everything out. I didn’t expect to use them that often but they’ve become useful. They’re easy to keep in a pocket so I just carry them now.

Nice little product. Easy to carry, easy to clean and easy to use.
