About Dyson
Dyson was founded on the idea of solving problems that others ignore; vacuum cleaners that clog and lose suction, hand dryers that are energy hungry and don't work, and hair technology that relies on extreme temperatures and cause heat damage.
Since it was established in the UK in 1993, Dyson has grown from one man and one idea to a global technology company with an ever-growing team of engineers and scientists at its core.
Today, Dyson machines are sold in over 65 countries. From cordless vacuum cleaners to air purifiers to hair dryers ; a whole new generation of technology has made its way into the hands of Dyson owners around the world.

I had an issue with my vacuum which was…
I had an issue with my vacuum which was still under warranty. I got in contact with dyson and they made an arrangement for it to be picked up by dpd. It was picked up and I got a confirmation email saying it has been delivered. I was told it would take 10 to 14 days to be returned. After a month I heard nothing from dyson and contacted them and gave proof of pick and delivery from the courier. I was asked to wait patiently till it's investigated.
I have emailed, rang and been on live chat between 10 and 15 times.
I get no updates each time I contact them and ask for it to be escalated I am told the same thing.
In a weeks time it will be 3 months since I sent it to dyson.
Its an absolute disgrace how I am been treated.
In my opinion they are hoping i will just give up because they are making no effort in my opinion.
Shocking quality
Shocking quality, battery died less than a year after I bought it. I’m just sorry I didn’t read these reviews before I spent 400 euro on overpriced useless hoover.

Continously fob you off until you give up. Hoover didn't work from moment I opened it and service rep confirmed it was dead battery, we did video call.
Said battery wasn't in stock but she'll ring when it was . No answer.
Weeks later I try again. I get promised a replacement and someone to collect it..nothing.
Weeks later again, same thing.
This week I escalated, he said back office would email me for a replacement again. They did , I replied a time I'm happy to get it picked up and agree to replacement .
I then get 0 reply then Dyson emails saying you didn't reply so we're closing this thread??
I'm going to small claims altogether now
Really disappointed with Dyson Ireland.
Really disappointed with Dyson Ireland.
My order was accepted and then, after weeks of delays and repeated contact with customer service, Dyson cancelled it without any proper explanation.
I made a formal complaint, but the response was incredibly dismissive and simply told me to place a new order.
I have reported this to the CCPC. If you have had a similar experience with Dyson, I would recommend reporting it too. It seems this may not be an isolated issue.
Not the level of customer service I expected from Dyson.
I cancelled an order before it was…
I cancelled an order before it was dispatched after I noticed that the product didn't have the feature I wanted. This was due to Dyson's false claims in the product description or misleading advertising. It's now almost a month and half before I receive a refund I have telephoneed them several times and each time I am told that the issue was escalated with no results.
I was a avid Dyson fan but awful product and service now.
I was a avid Dyson fan.
However, the new machine that I bought was extremely bad quality. Things go bad but the way it was handled.
I asked for warranty replacement. No replacement was there, asked to wait. I then placed the order after wait. Missed the delivery by miles. Then I was told that the part is not available.
After much negotiation, they offered to replace the machine. Again, delivery missed. Now I am being asked to get the vaccum cleaner collected, wait till it reach UK warehouse, then they will ship it. So, roughly 1 week more if everything goes okay.
I have offered to go and collect / swap. They did not allow.
It is already 6 weeks that I am without vaccum cleaner.
Not holding my breath that this "New" arrangement will work.
Dyson V15
I purchased the V10 a few years ago. The main switch failed within a year but was quite speedily replaced by Dyson and the replacement part didn't fail. Then just over 14 months ago, I purchased the V15. The switch failed within the warranty period and was replaced but has now failed again. The head has also failed and is out of warranty. I rarely give bad reviews but this unit is rubbish. I think they may be of some value if used in a small apartment infrequently (but I also think that they're over-priced for that level of use). I definitely would not recommend purchase for normal use in a home.
not good,,
not good,,, order item waited 3 weeks then order was cancelled...
am absolutely disgusted with the level…
am absolutely disgusted with the level of service I have received from Dyson.
I have now returned my Dyson Spot + Scrub twice. The first time it was returned to me without the issue being fixed. I sent it back a second time and Dyson has now lost the machine completely.
This has been going on for over a month, and every time I contact customer service I am simply told that the matter is still “being investigated”. This is completely unacceptable.
This machine cost me €1,000 and I have only owned it for six months. I should not be left without a €1,000 machine indefinitely because Dyson cannot locate an item that was sent into its own repair process.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I cannot seem to speak to anyone in Ireland who can take ownership of the issue. Every call goes through the overseas call centre, where I receive the same response but no actual resolution.
At this stage, I do not want to hear that the matter is still being investigated. I want a clear resolution. If Dyson cannot immediately locate and return my machine in full working order, I expect a replacement machine or a full refund.
For a company with Dyson's reputation, the way this has been handled is extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable.
dyson submarine vacuum V15
Boought a dyson submarine vacuum, the lart number 973237-01 was requested but even after months ots not available, and the switch to remove tank from the head of wet roller- was broken within the guarantee period. Very difficult to contact them, very poor experience, never would have bought the machine but family members put pressure on me saying something like dyson is the gold standard which i knew is not the case. I thought i will use it very lightly and it still broke. Will never recommend anyone but why i brought this product, i have no clue. All i wanted was just the device should last which it didnt for even 1 and half years, and already breaking. Boutht this nearly an year and a half ago.
I purchased a Dyson Airwrap directly…
I purchased a Dyson Airwrap directly from Dyson Ireland because I trusted the quality of the product and the customer service. Unfortunately, one of the attachments broke after only about one month of normal use.
I contacted Dyson multiple times over the past eight months. Every time I was told the replacement part was out of stock and that I would be contacted when it became available. Eight months later, I still have no replacement, no update, and no estimated timeframe.
This is extremely disappointing for such an expensive premium product. The product itself is great, but the after-sales service has been unacceptable. Customers should not have to wait eight months for a warranty replacement.
I hope Dyson takes this complaint seriously and resolves my case as soon as possible.
Dyson customer & technical support is a…
Dyson customer & technical support is a complete & utter shambles.
I bought a Spot & Scrub Robot for 1200 euro on July 12th.
When it arrived the app didn't work so I contacted support , they could not fix and promised to replace the faulty robot , after 7 extremely frustrating calls with level 1 support still nothing is resolved no replacement has arrived and they are completely clueless. In my frustration I have now just requested a complete refund and this experience does not bode well for any further technical issues with the Robot.
After the horrendous experience I would advise never to buy another Dyson product as the support is non- existent.
You can only ever talk to level 1 customer support who have absolutely no power to help all they can do is log the complaint, the next level 2 support who the complaint is escalated to can only be contacted via email , and they do not respond or when they do it"s from a generic template where the complaint is clearly not even read or addressed.
With the premium prices Dyson charge for their products, the customer support is a complete disgrace.
I will NEVER purchase a Dyson product again and would advise anyone considering Dyson to choose another brand as it's clear Dyson do not care about their customers given the level of support provided.
Don't bother buying their products
I honestly couldn't believe that a company with Dyson's reputation would allow this level of customer service.
My husband was speaking to a customer service representative called Alexandra on loudspeaker, so I overheard the entire conversation. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever witnessed. Alexandra came across as rude, arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking empathy or effective communication skills.
As a global brand, I expected Dyson to have much higher standards when it comes to customer care. Respect, professionalism, and a willingness to help should be the minimum. Unfortunately, this interaction fell far below those expectations.
Lost Repair - Customer Service is useless
This was possibly some of the worst customer service I've ever received.
I contacted Dyson 12 times over 6 weeks and was told so many empty promises it makes me never want to buy another product from them if it means never having to deal with their CS again. I felt like I was doing all the work for them.
Long story ahead.
So I sent my airwrap for a clean, nothing really wrong but it would pause in the highest heat setting , I dont use it but wanted it fixed before it got bad. Dyson organised the collection and once I handed it over the nightmare began.
The website says you can track the repair with the tracking number, I wasn't able to get information about the repair but waited a week just incase it needed time to update.
That's when I first made contact with Dyson CS and they ensured me everything was fine and the update is coming. So I waited again.
I contacted a few days later and that's when they admitted my parcel was lost. After some reassurance anf empty promises from thr agent they opened an investigation and asked for 6 working days to locate it. Naturally I was unhappy but they assured me it would be located, I got an email that confirmed the team was investigating. At this point there wasn't anything more to be done. So I waited.
After 6 working days I sent a followup email anf waited for their response, next working day no response so I contacted Dyson CS again. I was told that they needed another 6 working days. I was annoyed and frustrated at this stage mainly due to the fact I had to seek out the update. I then said I would only agree if they confirmed that on the 6th working day they would call me with a resolution. They confirmed this and so I waited.
I allowed 8 working days and reached out again since no one was responding to me.
At this point I wanted a resolution and the agent on the chat said they would need another 6 working days. I didnt agree to it this time and asked for a manager to call me back and for someone to reply to my emails. They assured me this would happen and to wait 24 to 72 hours.
5 more working days passed and nothing, no email and no call. So I contacted Dyson again and this time I was told that they would once again contact me in 24 hours and its been noted as urgent.
24 hours pass and no call from Dyson, I contact again and the agent told me ill need to wait until Monday since the team doesnt work on the weekend. I was at this stage very annoyed. The agent then assured me someone would call by the end of that same day suddenly changing their tune and it seems someone suddenly became available.
When the "supervisor" did call, it was by far the worst call I've ever had from any customer service line. I have trained agents in call centres and I was appalled at how it was handled. They said that after 6 weeks my Dyson arrived at the repair location yesterday. They said it was in the UK hub, this didnt make sense since theres ahub in Dublin. Turns out it was is Dublin, the agent on the phone clearly didnt review any of my previous insteractions. So many times I had to ask them to correct themselves because they clearly didn't understand the issue. They kept saying "sorry" and then just silence on the phone, like a blank apology but not knowing why. They never mentioned the amount of times I had to contact them, how many empty promises they made, the lack of call backs. After I retold them the facts several times the agent would just say "as i have said before Ma'am the Dyson arrived yesterday"
They couldn't give me a timeframe for repair and refused to tell me any information about the centre they were calling from. They did confirm it was India.
The supervisor, after this absolutely terrible call, promised to send an email after the call to summerise what was discussed and to call me with updates but NEVER did. Its amazing how useless their CS team are.
I have lost faith in anything Dyson do if its this difficult to simply get a repair for something from a repair shop located 30 minutes from my house. My Dyson finally is back after 6 weeks and im happy with the repair but wont ever purchase from them again
Dyson used to be known for excellent…
Dyson used to be known for excellent customer service and high-quality products. Unfortunately, that no longer reflects my experience.
The quality of the products seems to have declined, while the prices continue to increase. The battery in my cordless vacuum lasted only about three years before needing replacement, which is disappointing for a premium-priced product.
To make matters worse, the after-sales service has also deteriorated. Getting support or resolving issues has been frustrating, leaving me with the impression that customer satisfaction is no longer a priority.
Overall, I no longer feel that Dyson products offer the value or reliability they once did.
Had my dsyon vacum for 1 year 13…
Had my dsyon vacum for 1 year 13 months, guarantee is 2 years and just one month after it has expired my machine stopped working, they told me that repair would be approximately 150€ which I find absolutely ridiculous given that product is 500€ pleased avoid !
Dyson are pathetic, avoid.
I bought a Dyson Gen5Detect in December 2025, unit failed in April 2026. Was advised by Dyson that Dyson would pick up the bear unit with all packaging provide, just hand the unit over for repair. Two weeks later DPD arrived with a box that could fit a dishwasher in it. My wife even asked if he needs bubble wrap and was told no. Got the unit back extremely scuffed and scratched up, clearly bouncing around inside the giant box. Two complaints later and one formal email from Dyson saying that the marks and scratches are cosmetic and they’re not going to do anything to rectify the situation. The new Dyson looks worse than the 11 year old unit it replaced.
Absolute pathetic company. If you’re reading this review you’re probably in the same boat and the only thing to do is to never buy another Dyson product again and tell everyone you know.
Horrendous after care for faulty item
Blatant disregard for Irish Consumer Law & nonexistent customer service
I am completely appalled by Dyson’s abysmal "Owner Experience" team. After purchasing a faulty, premium machine, I was shocked to find out that Dyson refuses to provide protective return packaging to ship the defective unit back. They expect the customer to source specialist materials and assume the absolute risk of transit damage themselves.
Under Section 25 of the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022, any remedy for faulty goods must be provided completely free of charge and without significant inconvenience to the consumer. Forcing a customer to hunt down packaging for a high-value machine is a blatant, unlawful shift of costs and logistics onto the consumer.
Worse still, after pointing out their legal obligations, their escalation team went completely radio silent. It has been over weeks with zero response to formal dispute communications. Broken promises, a total breakdown of trust, and a complete failure to engage.
I have had to pull the plug on negotiations, report them to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), and initiate a formal bank chargeback to get my money back. Absolutely disgraceful behavior from a brand charging "premium" prices. Save yourself the headache and buy from a company that actually respects its customers and the law.
Never buy from Dyson again
A new Hot & Cool Purifier machine had to be returned to Dysons IE repair centre because it was faulty on purchase and would turn itself off or not work in certain sockets. When they repaired it and sent it back out, DPD threw the machine over a 4 foot wall (my neighbours wall too Ill add, not even my home) and completely damaged it.
The machine was also not wrapped up securely in the box to Dyson's usual standard, making the damage worse. Dyson have not once responded to me, except to tell me I didnt send in proof of collection which I had done and I had actually set 'read receipts' on the email so could see it was opened and read. I have gotten a replacement from Havey Norman via my statutory rights, but I would never buy Dyson again as their standards have slipped very low since 2020. Customer service team are quite bad and one guy asked me what i wantged him to do, others would put you on hold and pretend to ring a manager. However another employee told me they cant ring their managers directly, so make of that what you will.
Dyson is a very poor quality
Dyson is a very poor quality. After 2 years both of my hoovers and a hairdryer broke. For the money that you pay it should last for at least 10 years
