Signed up via Instagram and received a link for the subscription that doesn’t work. Account created and no subscription. Taken £17 out via Apple Pay.
Emailed and standard crap email form someone called Thales Bellisia.
Think this is going to be long and drawn out. Has anyone had any luck in cancelling subscription as don’t want anything to do with them based on these reviews? In effect they’re scammers and need reporting. Calm?? The irony!
Terrible customer service and hard to cancel
Purchased late at night through Instagram. I was charged but never provided the services. I've sent four requests to cancel and get an email saying my concerns will be addressed, but they never are. I can't find a way to cancel, so am being charged. I do not recommend.
I purchased a subscription for £39.99
I purchased a subscription for £39.99 on 6 Feb online for Calm app and it does not work on the app , I have emailed Calm who have given me a reference number and said they are investigating, the problem is you can’t speak to anyone and they don’t care , do not waste your money on this app as it’s not fit for purpose, and they are getting rich on people like me , don’t subscribe to them.
I paid for premium and received an…
I paid for premium and received an email with a link I clicked the link and I got an error page. It never showed on my account that I paid but my credit was charged and I didn't get premium I paid for. I contacted through their submit request and never received a response. They took my money and will not communicate at all. Totally scammed me. Don't give them your money. Wish I had researched first. Their BBB shows them ripping off hundreds of people.
Very poor - is rhis a scam?
Very poor. Paid for premium. When logged on through the link provided with the payment I was offered a seven day trial for premium and then I could pay. Went onto support to experience a bot that qiving the same non answer. Feel like we I have been scammed.
Zero Customer Support
The app is great, but if you run into any issues, support is non-existent. I've been waiting ten days for a response from support. Nothing.
app shows I paid £0, so I can not get my refund
I am writing this hoping to get a resolution. I signed up for the app and could not log in. Upon resetting my password, I was signed up afresh. This mean that the forty quid I had already paid had not been taken into account and after a week, I was charged again. When I tried to get refunded for everything, I was only refunded for the second lot. This is because when I look at my subscriptions, they show as £0 having gone through the first time. There is no way through apple to request a refund for this £0 though my card shows a £40 debit. I wrote as soon as the first lot of money went through and I am still struggling to get a response.
I'm anything but CALM now!
I only gave one star because you can't give 0. Paid and a week later still unable to access the app. emails back and forth but obviously a non human as it keeps asking me to do things I have already advised in past emails I cannot do. ie log into the app and... etc. It doesn't understand I cannot log into the app as it doesn't recognize my user name and password...the password being what Calm created when I subscribed.
This may be irony at its finest
This may be irony at its finest. The app is supposed to provide calm yet their total lack of customer service can send your stress levels into orbit. They over charge you and you can’t get anyone to respond for weeks. I’m over them. Find another company.
I have had 2 unauthorized transactions…
I have had 2 unauthorized transactions 2 years in a row. I went to my calm app. and it shows I don’t have a subscription. To make a long story short I reached out to Calm support via email (because you can’t call them) and they refused to refund me. I have filed a complaint with my bank, the Better Business Bureau and PayPal. Calm support said if I withdraw my complaint from the bank they will address my maybe getting a refund. I just got an email showing my subscription is cancelled, I can use the app till next year, but no refund mentioned. What a racket. Extremely unethical business practices.
Take a deep breath…you’ll need it
Truly the worst company I have encountered since the internet/apps became a thing!
I signed up via the website for a year and quickly realised that I preferred headspace. Since then I have repeatedly tried to cancel my subscription both via the app and the website…only to get a “oops something went wrong” message.
I’ve tried to contact customer service; what a joke that is. First off got a “we are very busy” message, then a “we will get back to you” email…since then, nothing.
Tried to change my payment method…it won’t let me do that. Tried to cancel my account…not allowed as I have a recurring subscription.
I’ve contacted my bank and told them to block them from taking the payment, they have hopefully done this, but told me to contact the supplier. Ha! Chance would be a fine thing.
If you truly want calm in your life for goodness sake stay away from this company!
Had the free trial
Had the free trial, cancelled two days in. Just been charged £49.99! Terrible
Absolute nightmare
Absolute nightmare. Emails back and forth when they finally decide to answer. I paid for a year subscription on 1 January 2026. I still do not have access, only limited 7 day trial. I emailed on 6 January to follow up, sent the receipt twice because they said there is no proof of payment. I have just now sent another email.
Unwanted renewals
Calm 'renewed' an annual subscription after I had cancelled it, despite noting on my billing page that the subscription had expired ten days before they took the payment.
Appalling company
Appalling company. Signed up and asked for a refund within 48 hours as the content was very low quality. Now being fobbed off with auto response emails which say they are still looking at the refund and to be patient. This has been nearly a month now. Thinking my next steps will be to raise a complaint through the bank and get a refund that way. Will be making a complaint to offcom. Ticket number 1421292
All automated, no support at all, took my money and expired my membership, no one there to respond to emails or help
I paid for an annual membership, yet 2 months later I got a notification saying I need to renew as my membership has expired. I’ve emailed countless times, and no response after 19 days, there is no one at the other end of the chat box online to help, all just automated, it’s like no one even works there. Radio silence. This is shocking! I can’t believe how bad it is
For a second year in a row
For a second year in a row, Calm have taken a payment from my account, supposedly for an “automatic renewal” for a Calm account that’s been inactive for 2 years and that I can’t even get access to! This time, despite two emails requesting that they return the £49.99 they’ve taken from me without any authorisation (first one sent over 10 days ago), I’m yet to have a response. Absolutely shameful.
The website is terrible and there…
The website is terrible and there appears to be no way to turn off a reminder chime. No human customer service to speak with about the issue. No way to delete stuff.
Signed up for free 7 day trial and was charged straight away
Was keen to try the app and selected the 7 day free trial. Was then charged £50 straight away. Cancelled immediately and requested a refund but no response.
Stick to other apps that know how a free trial works, avoid Calm.
Absolute nightmare
Absolute nightmare. Cancelled Premium a month in advance and was charged again. Calm refuses to refund. Horrible customer service
