The FCA had initially paused complaints relating to motor finance until 25 September 2024, but they have now extended this deadline to 4 December 2025 as the investigation into the issue of discretionary commission is ongoing. This investigation will help determine the best way for consumers to receive any compensation they may be entitled to. In the meantime, you can still lodge a complaint with your finance provider, but they are not required to respond until after the extended deadline, unless the FCA concludes the review earlier.
