Christian Jepsen reposted thisChristian Jepsen reposted thisMAJOR UPDATE: Today, we're launching Natural Cycles° on WHOOP - one of the world's most popular and fastest-growing wearables. It's been great to work with the people at WHOOP — ambitious, bold and well organized. Our last sync before today's launch took ten minutes. No last-minute scrambling, we were ready. That's how we like to work. The WHOOP band was validated the same way as our previously FDA-cleared wearable integrations, and it met all the acceptance criteria set out in our Predetermined Change Control Plan (PCCP). Today, women can use Natural Cycles with the wearable that best fits their lifestyle. Whether it's WHOOP, Oura Ring, Apple Watch, Garmin, or our own NC° Band, users can seamlessly connect their device to the NC° app for hormone-free birth control and reproductive health support across contraception, pregnancy planning, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. This launch comes only weeks after our most recent FDA clearance of our next-gen algorithm - powered by machine learning trained on millions of cycles. Innovation is in our DNA and i can't get enough of it.

Christian Jepsen shared thisExciting 24 hours in Copenhagen with some of Europe’s best founders and our LP community at Heartcore Day 2026. Each Heartcore founder is building something extraordinary. We could not be more delighted to have backed them early and to hear from several of them last week.

Christian Jepsen shared thisThis is such an exciting development at Neo4j!Christian Jepsen shared thisFolks, today Neo4j is acquiring GraphAware. For 10+ years GraphAware has been our partner. They're a leader in mission-critical intelligence analysis. Together, as one organization, we're building an open-standards alternative to black-box intelligence tools like Palantir Gotham. The backlash against black-box intel platforms has reached a tipping point. Governments are canceling contracts. Organizations are actively migrating to open, sovereignty-friendly solutions. The frustration makes sense. When you can't easily decide where your software runs, who accesses your data, or how your systems connect, you're not in control of the technology. You're dependent on the vendor. GraphAware Hume, built natively on Neo4j, works differently. Organizations get a platform they truly own: 1️⃣ The database belongs to them 2️⃣ The data belongs to them 3️⃣ Every choice they make with it belongs to them Nothing important is hidden behind proprietary logic. They can see how data moves, understand how results are produced, and trust the system they rely on. It's already deployed by the European Commission, the Western Australia Police, and government agencies across the US, UK, EU, and Australia. Why this matters now: AI is evolving fast and geopolitical tensions are rising. Public agencies need real control over their data, whether that means keeping it inside sovereign borders or enabling secure access for emerging AI use cases. Control has to be designed in the product from the ground up. A bit of backstory. Over a decade ago, GraphAware built the world's first dedicated Neo4j consulting company. Then they pulled off the impossible: pivoting from consulting to a product company, and a leading platform in their category. For years, joint customers have raved to me about the team and about Hume. So when we decided to move up the stack into intelligence analysis, GraphAware was the obvious choice. Looking ahead, we're building an open, AI-powered intelligence platform that agencies can deploy on their own terms, own their data on, and build on for years to come. One open-standards stack. Deeper querying. Better performance at scale. A tighter integration between analysis and data. Huge welcome to Michal Bachman Peter Fencak Christophe Willemsen Alessandro Negro Miro Marchi Dan Newland and the entire GraphAware team. 🚀

Christian Jepsen shared thisI worked with Joe Hyrkin for 10+ years while he built Issuu, witnessing the incredible journey he took with his team. Using these learnings to help others makes perfect sense.Christian Jepsen shared thisI’m happy to share that I've launched Care Grit Learning, LLC, a CEO Coaching service. I'm working with VC funded tech CEOs globally and looking forward to hearing from additional folks interested in working with me. We will work with the company's and CEO’s core values along with the values of Care, Grit and Learning and how to apply and integrate these into the organization. As a 15 year CEO(including a 9 figure exit with Issuu) and 25+ year Silicon Valley tech veteran that has been part of taking a company public, two exits and part of high growth companies that have succeeded and failed, I have context for all the challenges and opportunities that tech CEOs are addressing on a tactical and strategic basis. I combine deep operational and day to day experience and context with a human growth mindset and approach to enable CEOs to deliver impact and create and lead a high performing and high quality organization. I use a wholistic approach to coaching CEOs that combines support and paying attention to optimizing operational impact and communication internally, especially with the managment team and in sharing vision and values across the organization. This will include a focus on the CEO’s health and mental approach along with style, decision making, and execution process. A CEO’s primary job is to reduce distraction for themselves and those on their team. My coaching focuses on jointly understanding these distractions and how to navigate thru them in order to drive optimal impact. We will work with operating from a perspective of being RESPONSIVE rather than REACTIVE. Responsive Decision Making comes from synthesizing information available from the market, the team, the business, customers, product use and a sense of the direction the market is taking…connecting dots between day to day operations and the ultimate vision and plan for the company. We will work with a combination of data, clear information and wisdom inspired intuition and how to use the combination of the three to drive impact and achieve goals for the company and the humans in the company.

Christian Jepsen shared thisThrilled to share that we've invested €3M in the pre-seed round in PhaseTree! 🇩🇰 Why PhaseTree? Materials play an important role in developing clean energy and sustainable technologies. PhaseTree makes it easier and faster to find better alternatives that can help reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency. ✅ Their advanced platform, which integrates AI-powered simulations, lab automation and multiscale modeling, drastically cuts the time to develop new materials for batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines, from decades to just two years. 🙌🏻 The importance of this innovation cannot be overstated. With China controlling much of the rare earth supply chain, the global market faces potential shortages and escalating costs. PhaseTree's technology not only speeds up the process but also reduces reliance on these scarce resources, supporting a sustainable green transition. 🌳 PhaseTree’s approach is unique: they combine AI with fundamental scientific principles to refine and accelerate material discovery. This allows for more accurate predictions and efficient synthesis of new, durable materials that minimize environmental impact and waste. They're already making significant strides by collaborating with major industries in energy, automotive, and more, to develop next-generation materials. 😊 Proud to support Amit Luthra, Jin Hyun Chang, Jenna Kang and their talented team as they bring sustainable materials discovery to the forefront of global industries. 🌟 Read more about the funding announcement in TheNextWeb! 👇 https://lnkd.in/djj47JQd

Christian Jepsen shared thisKlarna is using Neo4j to make sense of their fragmented, siloed data by turning it into informative graphs. 📈 It is no secret that AI is as good as the data it’s built on. And for it to work well, it needs organized, coherent data. By using Neo4j to model knowledge as a graph, Klarna’s internal AI can really understand the connections and contexts in the data it analyzes. 🧠💡 Who knew graphs could be this exciting? We did! We invested in Neo4j back in 2009 because we believed that this maverick team had the potential to build a significant technological capability with their graph database technology. 📊🌟 🔗Read more about Klarna’s AI journey elaborated in Sebastian Semiatkowski’s post - https://lnkd.in/dgR6MuYC Cc: Emil Eifrem

Christian Jepsen liked thisChristian Jepsen liked thisMonday, I'm back from paternity leave. H1 at Corti was intense, but it's been intense privately too. At Corti, we shipped major product drops, dozens of updates, and the team beat two full-year commercial targets tied to top-funnel growth & developer experience while I was out. More on that soon. Privately, we had our 4th kid in 3.5 years, juggling the US and Scandinavian healthcare systems the whole way. We learned some interesting lessons from being a patient/parent across two systems, and I think they say a lot about where AI can actually help on each continent. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟰: 𝟭. 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻: 𝗨𝗦 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁. Great doctors (shout-out Dr. Tricia Gold, Tribeca Pediatrics), but data doesn't flow between providers, paperwork is constant, and no shared record means real communication risk between doctors. Coming from Scandi, the difference is CRAZY. 𝟮. 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸: 𝗨𝗦 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸, 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮. We were told our baby had a fatal condition and needed to abort. Two months of "possibly/probably," nobody willing to take a clear position. My wife flew to Copenhagen, got a real answer in days: misdiagnosis. Healthy kid today. The mistake isn't the point. The point is that in the US, HCPs counsel well and present options, but rarely decide as clearly as you want them to because of malpractice risk and system incentives. In Scandinavia, they take the risk and tell you what to do. A different burden on the patient entirely. 𝟯. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗘𝗨 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 "𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲" 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗲𝘀). Specialist care in Scandinavia is often tax-funded, but waits are long - months in many cases. In NYC, ZocDoc got us in to see complex specialists in under 2 weeks. Private care in Europe has been squeezed by governments, pushing more people into an overloaded public system that's free on paper but costly in lost time, stress, and worsening symptoms. With no working private system, there is no exit valve. 𝟰. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀. Centralized procurement, centralized cost incentives, and risk aversion mean that new drugs, devices, and AI tools take much longer to reach patients than in the US (I know I lived in NYC, which is not average in the US). No competitive pressure means less urgency to adopt anything new, even when it clearly works. The system optimizes for equity and control, not for being first to the best available care. I am not saying one is better, but damn, there's a lot to learn from each other, and there's a lot to do for all of the thousands of AI vendors building on Corti to help improve healthcare efficiency. Onwards.

Christian Jepsen liked thisChristian Jepsen liked thisA little over a week at Quesma, and a lot has already happened. We welcomed Michał Warda, founder of qforge.studio for an inspiring visit. We launched a new website for the product we are already dogfooding internally: a way to understand what coding agents actually do, what they cost, and what outcomes they produce. And we published three technical deep dives: • Piotr Migdał on how quantization hurts factual knowledge nonlinearly • Piotr Grabowski on why retrying interrupted LLM requests introduces length bias • Bartosz Kotrys on how seemingly sensible AI orchestration backfired 4 ways More is just around the corner. Christian Jepsen reacted on thisChristian Jepsen reacted on thisToday, for the first time since I took on the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Grant Thornton UK, the whole Commercial team was in one room in London. Nearly 150 people bringing a breadth of commercial expertise from every part of the country. Growth is something we build together. Partners across the firm shape where we go, and the Commercial team helps drive the momentum that gets us there. Whether that's a stronger relationship with a client we've worked with for years, a new one we haven't met yet or the reputation that makes both possible. What struck me most was the talent in that room. People who know their markets, their clients, their sectors and their craft inside out. People who understand where capacity sits across the firm, and the value our work adds to clients. For some, it was a chance to reconnect in person; for others, to properly meet colleagues they’ve worked with from different parts of the country. We spent time on our ambition for growth and what it means to be the commercial engine for this business. But some of the most valuable moments happened between sessions – conversations that sparked ideas, built connections across markets and sectors and strengthened the relationships that help us deliver more for clients. That's how a team like this gets even more effective. Starting with a plan that everyone's genuinely bought into and building the relationships to deliver it together. It was a great day, and I look forward to seeing where these conversations lead.

Christian Jepsen reacted on thisChristian Jepsen reacted on thisBartosz Kotrys just joined Quesma's founding team. The path there was unusual. Until now, every core team member came from Warsaw's agglomeration. We hired Bartosz as a contractor for a hard SRE task, and he turned out to be the most productive person I've seen at outsmarting frontier AI models. Good enough to break our own rule. But we had never met. Bartosz is a summer bird: winters in Spain, summers in Kudowa-Zdrój, a small spa town. And months before we ever spoke, I had booked my family holidays there. So last week, the final check happened in person. Verdict from our Slack: passed the in-person Turing test. Confirmed biological neural network. Latency and reliability excellent. No hallucinations. Welcome to the founding team! 🚀
