Pire expérience de ma vie.

Nous sommes actuellement en voyage avec un camping-car Luxury 4 personnes, payé une fortune, et l’expérience est tout simplement catastrophique.

À notre arrivée au dépôt, nous faisons le tour du camping-car et constatons que la manivelle de l’auvent extérieur est absente. Nous la réclamons et, après de longues minutes, la dame de l’accueil finit par nous la rapporter.

Nous essayons alors d’ouvrir l’auvent et découvrons qu’il est cassé ! Le plus grave, c’est qu’on nous a remis le véhicule sans nous signaler ce problème.

Nous demandons donc immédiatement un autre camping-car. Réponse : impossible. En gros : soit nous prenons celui-ci avec l’auvent cassé, soit nous repartons sans rien.

Évidemment, étant déjà sur place et sans aucune alternative, nous avons été contraints de partir avec ce véhicule. Nous avons filmé la scène et constaté l’état du matériel. Nous engagerons les démarches nécessaires à notre retour.

Mais ce n’est malheureusement que le début.

Nous demandons où se trouve la télévision, puisqu’elle est indiquée dans notre pack. La dame nous répond qu’il s’agit d’une erreur et qu’il n’y a pas de télévision. Nous lui montrons que c’est pourtant bien indiqué sur le site.

Elle nous répond simplement de déposer une réclamation.

Nous remarquons ensuite une télécommande dans le camping-car. Elle la récupère et la range dans son bureau.

24 heures plus tard, surprise : nous découvrons une télévision dissimulée au-dessus du réfrigérateur ! Mais impossible de l’utiliser puisque la télécommande a été récupérée par l’agence…

Mais ce n’est toujours pas fini.

La dame semblait très pressée. Elle nous demande de débarrasser nos affaires puis part en nous laissant le camping-car.

Nous avions pourtant payé un siège enfant, qu’elle ne nous a jamais remis.

Impossible ensuite de la joindre par téléphone : personne ne décroche.

Nous nous sommes donc retrouvés avec notre enfant, sans le siège de sécurité que nous avions payé, au milieu de l’entrepôt un dimanche alors que tout était fermé.

Autre problème : aucun adaptateur électrique ne nous a été fourni.

Résultat : impossible de brancher correctement le camping-car et de recharger les équipements. Avec les températures froides, la situation est devenue particulièrement compliquée.

C’est finalement le responsable d’un camping qui nous a dépannés pour la soirée.

Nous étions également censés disposer du Wi-Fi et d’un système de navigation.

Nous n’avons ni Wi-Fi, ni connexion Internet fonctionnelle, ni système de navigation utilisable.

Le GPS affiche un message d’erreur indiquant qu’il faut contacter le fabricant en raison de l’absence de connexion Internet. Résultat : impossible d’utiliser correctement un service que nous avons également payé.

Quant au Wi-Fi annoncé dans le pack… nous le cherchons encore.

Enfin, l’état général du camping-car est déplorable pour une prestation vendue comme “Luxury”.

Il manque de nombreux accessoires, il restait encore de la terre dans la douche, certains bols avaient encore des traces de yaourt, et la poignée de la porte est quasiment cassée.

Bref, nous avons payé un pack Luxury et nous nous retrouvons avec une prestation qui est largement en dessous de ce que nous avons réservé et payé :

Camping-car endommagé et non remplacé, auvent inutilisable, adaptateur électrique absent, siège enfant payé mais non fourni, télévision annoncée mais inutilisable, Wi-Fi absent, navigation inutilisable, accessoires manquants et véhicule insuffisamment nettoyé.

Nous conservons évidemment les photos, vidéos, captures de l’offre et justificatifs de paiement concernant l’ensemble de ces problèmes.

À notre retour en France, nous saisirons notre avocat afin d’étudier les recours possibles et demanderons le remboursement des prestations non fournies ainsi qu’une indemnisation correspondant aux préjudices subis et bien évidemment des dommages et intérêts pour la mise en danger de notre fille et l'escroquerie que nous avons subi sans pourvoir nous défendre et nos vacances gâché.

Nuestra experiencia con Touring Car ha sido extremadamente decepcionante.
Al devolver la autocaravana nos cobraron 19.200 coronas noruegas (aproximadamente 1.820 €) por un único arañazo en la parte trasera de la autocaravana que, en nuestra opinión, no justifica un cargo de esa magnitud. Lo más sorprendente es que el importe reclamado por ese único daño fue incluso superior al precio del alquiler completo de la autocaravana. Nos resulta muy difícil entender cómo un arañazo puede generar un cargo de semejante importe.
Adjuntamos fotografías del daño para que cada persona pueda valorar por sí misma si considera razonable un cargo de 19.200 coronas por esos desperfectos. Nosotros creemos que es un importe completamente desproporcionado.
También adjuntamos el documento utilizado para justificar el cargo. Según el propio documento, se trata de una estimación y no de una factura definitiva ni de una factura emitida por un taller. Sin embargo, se nos cobró íntegramente el importe reflejado en esa estimación. Cada persona podrá valorar por sí misma la transparencia de este procedimiento al revisar la documentación.
Además, la autocaravana tenía una limitación muy importante que no se explicaba con la suficiente claridad: la cocina y los enchufes solo funcionaban cuando el vehículo estaba conectado a la corriente eléctrica. Si tu intención es disfrutar de la acampada libre, esto limita enormemente la experiencia y elimina una de las principales ventajas de viajar en autocaravana.
Por si fuera poco, el equipamiento era muy básico: apenas había dos unidades de cada utensilio de cocina y la calidad de los mismos dejaba bastante que desear.
Después de esta experiencia, no volveríamos a alquilar con Touring Car ni la recomendaríamos. Esperamos que nuestra experiencia, junto con las fotografías y la documentación adjunta, ayude a otros viajeros a conocer cómo se gestionan los daños y los cargos antes de reservar y a evitar la desagradable sorpresa que nosotros nos llevamos.
Me contestaron desde Atención al Cliente y me derivaron a la oficina de Oslo, donde se desentendieron completamente del caso. Tras varios mails, cada uno con una versión diferente, finalmente me mandan un presupuesto de un taller, casualmente por el mismo importe que ya me habían cobrado. Ante la falta de transparencia, contacté directamente con el mismo taller para pedir presupuesto de la misma reparación y me lo valoraron en 5.800 NOK, un 70 % menos. Una vergüenza este tipo de prácticas abusivas y la forma de aprovecharse de los clientes

Our experience with Touring Car was extremely disappointing.
When we returned the motorhome, we were charged 19,200 NOK (approximately €1,820) for a single scratch on the rear of the vehicle, which, in our opinion, did not justify such a substantial charge. What shocked us the most was that the amount claimed for that single scratch was actually higher than the total cost of renting the motorhome. It is very difficult to understand how a scratch could result in a charge of this magnitude.
We have attached photos of the damage so that everyone can judge for themselves whether a charge of 19,200 NOK for these scratches is reasonable. In our opinion, the amount is completely disproportionate.
We have also attached the document used to justify the charge. According to the document itself, it is an estimate rather than a final repair invoice or an invoice issued by a repair workshop. Nevertheless, we were charged the full amount shown in that estimate. Everyone can draw their own conclusions about the transparency of this process after reviewing the documentation.
In addition, the motorhome had a major limitation that was not clearly explained before the rental: the kitchen and electrical outlets only worked when the vehicle was connected to mains electricity. If you are planning to enjoy wild camping, this severely limits the experience and takes away one of the main advantages of travelling by motorhome.
On top of that, the equipment provided was very basic. There were only two of each kitchen utensil, and the overall quality was poor.
After this experience, we would never rent from Touring Car again, nor would we recommend the company. We hope that our experience, together with the attached photos and supporting documentation, helps future travellers understand how damage claims and customer charges are handled before booking and avoid the same unpleasant surprise that we experienced.

After another rental company cancelled our motorhome booking just over 24 hours before our family trip to Norway, Touring Cars stepped in and saved our holiday. Traveling with my two daughters (14 and 6), we received an outstanding level of attention and hospitality from both the Oslo and Tromsø teams — warm, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile, from pick-up to drop-off. The motorhome was modern and spotless, and the airport shuttle made everything easy. Both the company and its people showed a level of care that turned a stressful situation into an unforgettable trip. My daughters and I are deeply grateful. Highest possible recommendation!

We rented a camper from Touring Cars for 17 days at a cost of approximately €5,800. Unfortunately, the gas bottle provided was not full. When we collected the camper, we were specifically told that the amount of gas definitely should be sufficient for the entire trip.

After ten days, the gas bottle was empty, even though we had only used the gas for cooking and making coffee and tea. The fridge ran on electricity. Because of the unusual size of the bottle, it was also virtually impossible to find a replacement or suitable refill location within a reasonable distance in Norway. As a result, for the remaining seven days we had to specifically look for campsites with kitchen facilities.

As compensation, Touring Cars offered to reimburse our additional toll costs, which turned out to be €82. They also did not charge us the €90 refill fee for the gas bottle. This refill could apparently have been purchased in advance, but that was not made clear during the booking process and was not explicitly pointed out when we collected the camper. Given that this particular gas bottle is very difficult to refill or exchange in Norway, including near the Touring Cars office, we would have expected much clearer information.

Touring Cars was not willing to offer any further compensation. For a rental price of €5,800, we find it very disappointing that we were unable to cook in the camper for seven out of the seventeen days.

In addition, Touring Cars charges separately for items such as camping chairs, a table, toilet tablets and the gas bottle refill. This was stated at the time of booking, but with other camper rental companies we have used, these basic items were always included.

The camper trip itself was wonderful, but the partially filled gas bottle, the lack of clear information about refilling it and the limited response afterwards had a significant negative impact on our experience with Touring Cars.

Wir haben ein Wohnmobil zum 2. Mal für einen Urlaub gemietet. Soll heißen, das wir noch recht unerfahren diesbezüglich waren. In den 10 Tagen in Norwegen haben wir nun unser Fahrzeug sehr gut kennengelernt, obwohl die innenliegende Bedienungsanleitung auf dänisch, niederländisch und ähnliches war, jedenfalls nicht auf deutsch, geschweige denn auf englisch oder französisch.
Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht, mit dem Wagen mobil über die Lofoten zu fahren, spontan zu sein und sich kurzfristig auf einen Camping-, Stellplatz zu stellen oder frei zu campen.
Das Womo war bei der Übergabe besenrein, das Geschirr sauber. Unserem Wunsch im Vorhinein nach einem großen Bett wurde entsprochen, da ich bei einer Größe von 194 cm darauf angewiesen bin. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Auch die Matratzen waren gut, wir hatten keine Probleme damit.
Ein Kommunikationsproblem bestand nach bereits 100 km, als die Öllampe des Wagens aufleuchtete, jedoch keine Antwort von Touring Cars auf unsere WhatsApp Nachricht kam. Nach der eigenhändigen Überprüfung hatte der Motor noch genügend Öl, sodass die Weiterfahrt bis zum Ende möglich war.
Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit dem Wohnmobil, der Mietpreis mit etwa 400 €/Nacht ist meines Erachtens aber sehr hoch. Dessen muss man sich bei der Planung eines solchen Urlaubs bewusst sein. Norwegen ist kein billiges Urlaubsland (etwa das 1,5 fache wie in Deutschland) sollte man einkalkulieren.
Wir werden das nächste Mal mit dem eigenen Camper kommen, es ist traumhaft schön in Nordnorwegen!
Reisezeitraum Juni 2026, per Flug von München nach Tromsø, Hin- und Rücktransfer problemlos. Vermittlung lief über Camper Days in Köln. Alle Mitarbeiter, sowohl in Köln und in Tromsø waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Nicht dass ein falscher Eindruck entsteht: wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden! Die Rückkehr nach Norwegen aber mit einem eigenen Camper wird sein, weil wir uns ohnehin einen kaufen werden🤗.

Alles war perfekt,(Transfer Service, Auto aussen und innen sehr sauber, Freundlichkeit) ausser dass die Pneus bei der Übernahme schon stark abgegefahren waren und wir sie unterwegs wechseln mussten. Der Support von Touring Car war super und professionell.

Everything went smoothly with the rent and van was just fine for our three persons family. Only some fault with water heater, but not needed during summer time.

We have had a fantastic vacation with a mobilhome of this company. Good service too.

All in all it was a very stress-free rental. The staff was very friendly, collection and return process of the vehicle was easy. Shuttle service from / to the airport worked also very well. We had no problems with the vehicle during our trip.
We were positively surprised about the free tablet with unlimited WiFi that we could use for our whole trip and were thus able to stream and so on.

Only thing was: the equipment inside the motorhome was sufficient, but not of the best quality (e.g. worn out towels, old / cheap kitchen items, uncomfortable / damaged camping chairs). But in the end, we didn’t mind that much.

Everything went very smoothly—from the booking and airport pickup to picking up the car. Someone was always available, even via WhatsApp, so I could reach out at any time with questions or issues without long wait times, and everyone was very friendly.

We’re just waiting to see if everything goes smoothly with the return. If that goes just as easily, Touringcars Rovaniemi is definitely worth recommending!

We rented a large caravan for 16 days. Everything is perfect from collecting the vehicle until we return it. The caravan is zero issue & brand new. The pick up station & caravan is spotless clean.The staff is so professional & friendly. Myself truly appreciate their service which we able to contact them through whatsapp throughout the rental as it is very important if any issue pop up. Their response is fast & accurate. When we return the vehicle there is facilities to dispose grey & dark water at the station which is extremely helpful. We have not experienced such a service before with any other rental company. Bravo & keep up the good job!
