I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience with ETO Doors warrants it.

We purchased what were represented to us as stain-grade, solid white oak doors. What we received was the exact opposite. Every single door had visible glue contamination throughout the panels, making them completely unsuitable for stain grade finishing. After extensive effort sanding, conditioning, re-sanding, and re-staining, it became clear these doors were not capable of achieving a proper stain finish.

Because of this, we were forced at the last minute to pivot to painting all of the doors just to meet a client’s grand opening deadline. This resulted in thousands of dollars in additional labor and materials, not to mention significant stress and disruption to the project timeline.

On top of the quality issues:

The order was delayed by approximately 4 weeks
We were forced to pay $1,600 in expedited shipping due to their delays. A representative stated they would help cover a portion of that cost, this has never been honored

Communication was equally unacceptable:

I have over 40 calls into this company
Repeated promises of callbacks that never happened
Multiple instances of being told “the owner is out to lunch” followed by no follow-up whatsoever

The only resolution offered after months of back and forth was an $800 refund, while refusing to address the issues, despite prior verbal commitments.

The doors were also not as represented structurally, with lower-quality core construction than what was communicated during the sales process.

Overall:

Poor product and manufacturing quality
Misrepresentation of materials
Missed deadlines
Broken promises
Extremely poor communication

This has been one of the most frustrating vendor experiences I’ve had.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ETO Doors, especially if you require true stain grade product or reliable timelines. Unfortunately we are forced to take legal action.

The doors themselves are beautiful but we placed our order in June 2025. Received most of the doors in January 2026 but we are still missing 4 doors from the order. There has been no communication and we have no idea when/if we will see the remaining 4 doors that were ordered. Be aware that although you are dealing with a company in California, the doors are made and shipped from China causing serious delays. They are completely none communicative now. No answers on where our doors are or if/when we will be getting them.

The worst experience ever!! STAY AWAY. I ordered 25 doors and almost half arrived with deep gouges dents and were separated by ONE PIECE OF CELLOPHANE. Customer service is horrible and they refuse to stand behind their product. They have jacked me around for months and still no resolution. THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY EVER And these positive reviews are so obviously bogus its laughable! Go to pissed consumer and BBB and read real reviews

The doors look beautiful! They really stand out. I had them place 8 doors for our home renovation and beyond thrilled with how things look! Highly recommended.

I recently hired ETO to create a handful of doors for a project I'm working on. The customer service was always great. Anytime I would call in with some questions, I feel they were always addressed. I'm located in Long Beach, so not far from their location. I did pickup the doors, and didn't go the delivery route. I'm very satsified with the quality of doors they manufacture. I will be buying from them again

I placed my first order with ETO in mid December. I took the three doors that got delivered today. The turn around time took about a month. They had explained all this before the order took place, which I appreciate. The total of the doors came out to $4200. They were high quality doors, two for the front and one for the back of the home. I'm happy with the quality that they were able to deliver

As a contactor, I've bought from ETO several times over the years. They've always provided gorgeous doors that stand out when compared to other places I've used in the past. My primary contact, has always been Ester. Anytime I would need to place an order, she's always been super helpful when it would come to getting my orders in

Took only a month and two weeks to get our doors. I had placed a fairly large interior and exterior door order through ETO. Before placing the order, I spoke with them a few times and they were able to assure me that deadlines would be met. I live about an hour from their Los Angeles location, delivery was fairly quick. I did have them deliver the doors. They look great! I'm very pleased with how things went. I will be ordering from them again

I came in today, looked around at their showroom. I haven't placed an order just yet, just considering a few ideas. The sales guy that helped, was very informative. Answered all our questions. I'm happy with the experience today

Over the past several years, I've ordered from ETO and never had any issues. My first order was a pickup, then my recent second was a delivery. I live in Oceanside, CA and I had no problems with getting the doors shipped here. The service was outstanding.

I recently placed an order for the KA230-CM20 doors. The shipping process didn't take long at all. We're about two hours from their location, we were considering the drive but had them shipped. The customer service was a 10. They gave us updates often. We took delivery of the doors not long ago and they look great. I'm very happy with the order we recently placed.

They have a huge selection of very beautiful doors! While visiting the area, I stopped by their showroom and was very pleased with what they had. The sales rep Amir, was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I'm very pleased with the quality of product and service I received.

The doors were well put together. I was asked to share my experience, so here I am. The interior stain grade door was what we ordered. We had them shipped to Las Vegas. The service received was a 10. I feel they were on top of things and got our new doors delivered for our recent renovation project we're nearing completion on. Very satisfied with what was delivered.

Ester was amazing to work with. She was very polite, easy to communicate with. I emailed her a few times, and she was always quick to get back to me. The doors I ordered were really nice. I explored a lot of options in the LA area but I'm happy I went this route. I feel they exceeded my expectations when it came to my recent door purchase.

I ordered some garage doors through ETO recently, and took delivery last week. The doors came quickly, without any damage. The guy that we had set them up, did great. From what I can tell, they did a flawless job. I'd absolutely recommend ETO for anything door related.

I recently purchased a Fortis Fiberglass door from ETO, and took delivery the other day. The service I received was a 10. It took a few weeks until our door was delivered, but when it came it really stood out. Anytime I'd call or email with updates, they were always quick to get back to me.

The owner of this company doesn't care if he goes out of business for shady business practices so buyer beware. I ordered a door that arrived defective and they refused a discount.

Updated from May 11: Still no resolution 2 weeks later. Lorena the claims manager is blaming her customer. It's clear that the veneer is defective on one of the 3 doors. She said we sanded the door. Even tho we were told to, we didn't. She said it was exposed to moisture. If that's true, why wouldn't the other two doors have the same problem? They were handled in the exact same way. Lorena is just doing what claims managers do—denying claims. And she's rude and accusatory about it.

Two of the three we purchased at the same time were good. The 3rd had inconsistent grain in the veneer. It didn't accept the stain and looks pretty bad.

ETO had us submit a warranty claim. Will update the review after we receive their response.

But I would steer away from these doors if you want to avoid construction delays and hassles when you try to fix the issue.

Coupled with the delivery and attitude problems, I would not recommend this company. There are other options.

They sell beautiful doors that are of great quality. They just have terrible customer service when it comes to delivering them.

From the beginning, the services were good. The sales rep was responsive and answered our questions. When we ordered the doors the estimate came through and paying was easy.

After they got our money the service went downhill. I had to follow up to find out when they would ship. When I did receive the shipping notification, it said I would receive them on a Friday between 2 and 5 pm. I'm on the west coast and the shipping company is on the east coast. When the order didn't arrive, I tried calling them, but no one answered. I called ETO and the rep told me this happens a lot. She apologized for the poor experience.

The next day, the original rep said it was on me because I was supposed to wait to get a call from them to schedule the delivery. She didn't address why I received a time window prior.

Also, I asked both the sales rep and the CSR for samples so I could choose a stain color without ruining the doors. They said they would overnight them and they didn't arrive the next day.

I called the next day when they didn't arrive and was told they would ship that day. Nope. They didn't and I didn't receive them. Now they are holding up our construction project by not sending the samples when they promised to.

I called and left 3 voicemails and sent an email. They didn't reply to any of those.

Once they get your money they don't care about you. I have a lot of future projects that I'm working on. ETO will not be part of those.
