I’ve been using Endel for a few years now - it’s my go to help and in different areas in my life: I always play it when I need to focus and concentrate on work or a creative task. I listen to it’s sleep sounds when I need to quick fix my sleep routine. My go to in a plane - always with a Relax soundscape. It’s super versatile and it just does what it says.

Really liked the designs and overall concept. Good sounds, just about right amount of differentiated music for most of the rituals i can think of.

Looks like a monument valley game, those animations are just pure art.

A bit pricey, but i got a huge sale in the app, so bought a premium for like 12 eur a year.

I cancelled 1-2 days BEFORE the free trial ended, yet I was charged for a year long subscription. It doesn't show up in my Apple subscriptions. Cancelling it through the app does NOTHING so it's going to end up charging me again in a year if I can't get this resolved. I can't dispute it through Apple because it doesn't even appear that I've subscribed on their end. 100% fraudulent company. I will be disputing with my credit card company.

I cancelled the subscription during the free trial. A complicated process which should be simplified through Apple since that is where I downloaded the app. However, no subscription in Apple. Had to cancel through website. Still charged annual cost of app but outside of Apple so there’s no history through Apple. Credit card was charged though and I can’t get a refund now. Very sketchy. Fortunately I disputed the claim through my credit card company.

I joined free trial, I didn't like it, UI was unintuitive and all content felt the same, I wanted to unsubscribe to not pay yearly subscription but unsubscribe feature doesn't work - infinite progress screen, API returns HTTP success, service still wanted to charge me

The app lets you start a free trial but charges you $120 immediately. The only way to get it refunded is to dispute with your credit card company because neither they or Apple App Store will refund you. They will reply to these complaints with “please email us” and after you email them they tell you there is nothing they can do. Every time you see them respond with “please email us” you can assume they are doing nothing. Absolute con artists

This is a scam!! When you get the app and sign up for the subscription you will only find 1 8D track. They don’t have this or any other actual tracks with 8D sound but it is a way to trick people with ADHD for money! Tasteless!!!!

Impossible to obtain the student discount! The SheerID verification process failed and despite submitting all the required evidence (which they confirmed proved my student status) they couldn't process the discount directly and instead redirected me to Endel. After contacting support I found myself stuck in an endless loop of emails requesting screen recordings, screenshots, and more. What should have been a simple fix turned into a drawn-out ordeal, and it became clear they had little interest in actually honouring their student discount. In hindsight I'm glad I didn't end up signing up given the other reviews on here!

I signed up for a 7 day trial on Sunday through Apple and on Monday they took the $99 from my account. I’m now trying to get it refunded through Apple. Not cool Endel and I certainly don’t want this app on my phone any longer.

I subscribed to Endel for a year to access some of the music being used to focus by artists that I like. It seemed like a nice app, but I didn't use it and cancelled by subscription. That was 2022.

In 2024, they charges me for $29.00. This was right at Christmas time and I did not notice the charge. Then they charged me again in December 2025. I did not notice this until recently and that is when I discovered the other charge in 2024.

I logged into the app and validated that I was on a free subscription. I contacted support. Their response... no refunds for charges over 31 days. Of course, the main concern is how they were able to charge me at all? What is going on with my data? How did this happen. But, no help of info form their support. This is another example of scammy nature of the modern app. It gets your payment info and charges you without any notification via email or even the app. I see this all too frequently.

AVOID!

Just was stung with this app $99 no warning my free trial ended. It’s left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t even care if it’s good I don’t want to use it now!

I honestly use Endel for 2 years straight, and I personally decided come here to write a review. Its a fantastic app, with fantastic sounds and music software, helps me so much to focus and finalize projects. Its guided sound sets are amazing, its focus and dynamic focus mixes are great. and the recognition of what I like and what suits me according to my activity!! WOW! and also the option to blocking all apps and use of focus timer* well done!

I cannot say anything about people's money trust situations, but *THIS APP IS MY FAVORITE APP SO FAR AND ITS WORTH ALL THE MONEY I'M GIVING!

If you like good music, and if you need focus and finish things - I strongly suggest it!

Same experience as reported by many others – the "7 day free" is NO, in fact, a trial period, but an automatic annual subscription.

This is intentionally obfuscated, and you cannot request a refund via Endel.

Deceptive business practices – AVOID

I was charged for a full year during a trial period. When I request a refund, Endel support continues to tell me to log into a link that doesn't work. Its been about 6 emails back and forth without a solution. This is a scam and I am reporting them to the BBB.

I tried to sign up for the 7-day free trial; the app just charged me. Then I cannot directly contact customer service for a refund - as the app has a FAQ section that says to contact Google. Also this should be reported to the BBB and TrustPilot, as it’s fraud.

Today, The Day of $119 charge, thought is was fraud. Went to credit card company(they saw it as fraud and alerted me asking if I authorized it). I then wrote to ask @endel. io, to cancel my unauthorized subscription and refund me. Will see whether they consider me. I didn't use their freemium service for more than one session...unfortunately they may not give a dam about my future business. Will see.

App is great, love the sound experience. I decided to upgrade my membership because of a 50% annual discount, but then immediately saw a full lifetime subscription for a good price point, which I signed up for. But I was still charged for the annual subscription, and then I got an ADDITIONAL charge of $119.99. I reached out using their Support AI, but received a message that I did not meet their refund requirements. I JUST SIGNED UP! I am severely disappointed in the business end of this company and will be escalating this to my bank and Apple as a scam.

Avoid this scam!!! Paid for a yearly subscription via Google. But the subscription did not appeared in the app. To refund you have to go to a special link - that says you are not eligible. Support is garbage AI that says you have to go to that link. The page with refund was built by AI 100% as it even exposes some debug info (localStorage: false). If you have anxiety or adhd - definitely don't try them if you don't want to enter full-rage mode.

Was charged a WHOPPING 119.99 with no warning on a service I did not request? Not even possible to request a refund through the appstore. This is an incredibly predatory business model that doesn’t take into account BUSY COLLEGE STUDENTS! I am broke and they took out my last payment leaving me completely and totally broke.

I have used Endel for years. I don’t know what they have done but they took something that was so easy and intuitive and screwed up. You have to make multiple selections. It is so hard to use. I want to hit a button and hear the selected sound. Done. Easy. Not program a flashing vcr.

Update after Endel reply and trying to use their suggestion - now I would give the app a negative three stars review. When you go into it - you get locked into a lifetime renew screen - I still have six months on my subscription so not necessary and a waste of my time. I had to kill the app and log back in. I want to meditate or use the app for focus not get annoyed with it but as the stoics say it is still your fault if it makes you feel bad, if it provokes an angry response from you in turn so I write reviews and feel free not bad. Endel has crossed the line from not just screwing up their app but being a little scummy. Just my speculation and pattern recognition but when companies do this they need revenue and know their runway is short so they better monetize before the last person in the building closes the door and turns off the lights. It’s been fun Endel. I hope I get to use my six remaining months. Good Luck to you little app maybe you can pivot and save yourself before it’s too late.
