Did what they're supposed to
Offered me a price, picked up the phone, paid the price they'd offered 48hrs later. Refreshingly free of messing around.

Took a day off work for the appointment but no show. When I contacted them said they'd call back but didn't. Just used a local agent instead who actually seemed interested in selling my house.

Various horror stories in media about what's in cheap alternatives so I'd rather trust a well known quality brand with something my child is going to be chewing on. Items arrived quickly and as described.

Some companies have a customer services department. British Gas aren't one of them.

Fast delivery every time I've ordered. Prices are good. What's not to like

A genuine review here, not suggesting about half of them on here are not....
They offered more than everyone else then reported spurious damage on phone... "Deep scratches to screen" when it's had a protector on for its entire life. Took the lower offer because I cba with resending it to someone else a week ago and no payment despite being promised within 5 days.
Just avoid, it's a grimy way to do business.

Our fridge broke so like the good middle class capitalists we are went to John Lewis on a Sunday expecting to have a fridge within a few days. Hahaha! I can laugh about it now, as I finally have a fridge from a well known internet retailer that has excellent customer service, (while humming Hey Ho Let's Go to myself).
First off, the assistants in the shop were painfully disinterested. We repeatedly tried to get delivery times on various models and were told they couldn't give delivery times at the weekend because Samsung, LG etc were shut. So you don't even stock them then, and you don't have display models, so what exactly is your function? It's certainly not customer service. Oh and tip of the day guys - saying "a big fridge fits more in it" then wandering off to stare vacantly into middle distance is not a good sales technique. Then when I finally reacquire your attention, recommending the Curry's across the street just compounds it.
We were finally advised to come back on a weekday or just place an order from the website and it would be with us "by the end of the week". Ok, so we dutifully went home and ordered an LG from the website for a 4 figure sum.
A week passes. Nothing. No delivery date, no phone call. Bear in mind we have no fridge and a furious infant. We ring up and are given a date in a fortnight. This date passes. We ring again. "yeah it'll be a couple more weeks, it's not our fault, it's LG's."
I'm sorry John Lewis but I'm not buying a fridge from LG, I'm buying it from you. You take the money, you deliver the fridge. I don't want to hear excuses about your supply chain, and if something has gone wrong (I'm aware things happen occasionally) then I'd think the onus is on you to at least let me know, not leave me for a month without a fridge and zero communication.
If this was an isolated incident, I wouldn't leave this review, but family members have experienced similar (and worse) so there is clearly systemic problems in the organisation.
tl;dr - bought fridge, didn't arrive after almost a month, ordered from somewhere else, arrived next day and two hundred quid cheaper. Avoid at all costs.
Edited: John Lewis reported this review because it contained asterixes which are apparently foul language so I've removed them. Outrageous that rather than respond they try and censor the review!!!!!
Edited 2: John Lewis have reported this review AGAIN, this time because it contained the name of the retailer that I used instead of them. So, John Lewis, as I know you're reading this, your behaviour is frankly incredible so as your reward for making a bad situation worse, I'm going to copy and paste this review across every website and tell every person I meet about your abysmal customer service and repeated attempts to stop trustpilot publishing negative reviews.
