I had a net curtain which had unusual hangers. The curtain was becoming a bit tattered but I had been unable to find any website that offered that method of gathering so that I could use the hangers. I came across this company and explained my problem and what I wanted. David immediately agreed that he could supply the curtain to my specification. After a little too-ing and fro-ing with measurements etc we agreed the exact specification and I put in my order on Monday afternoon. The curtain was delivered this morning (Wednesday) and I have hung it. It fits perfectly, the gather is exact and the curtain is spectacular. I have never come across such good service before. All this and it wasn't even a particularly valuable order! Full marks to all those who made it happen so well and so quickly.

I knew where I wanted to have the new system installed in the hall and showed the engineers. They explained that because of the nature of the fibre optic cable they could install it as I wanted but couldn't conceal the cable because it couldn't do sharp bends and the installation would look ugly. We agreed an alternative location. I also explained that I intended to dig out and relay the front garden and they immediately indicated that it would be better to delay the installation because of potential damage to the cable. That wasn't acceptable to me so I will alter my plans for the garden. That was my choice based on their advice. They went ahead with the installation and did a very tidy job. They helped me move back the furniture we had to move to ease the installation and even offered to help move back another piece that I had moved in the hall to allow access to where I had originally wanted the installation. They cleaned up behind themselves and left after setting up the new cable router and testing the installation. I was very happy with the work they carried out and their courtesy, politeness and helpfulness throughout.

Last week I had 2 leaks from the toilet plumbing, one minor which I cleaned up easily and one major. The odd thing is that both leaks stopped themselves, so weren't obviously leaks from pipes etc. After the second leak I isolated the water supply to the toilet and called out Dyno (Metserve) through my British Gas Homecare service. The first available appointment was for a few days later.

On the agreed date, I received a phone call from their engineer, Ethan, telling me he was on his way. When he arrived, I explained what had happened and he examined the cistern and carried out a few checks. I appears that the overflow pipe was set above the lowest point of the cistern body, so if the valve admitting water stuck open, the excess water would spill out of the cistern rather than go through the overflow pipe.

Ethan replaced the inner workings of the cistern and fitted a different overflow system (lower than the lowest part of the cistern body). He offered me a choice of handle or push button operation for the flush, reassembled the cistern and reinstalled it, then cleaned up thoroughly after he had tested the system to make sure it was working properly.

I was very happy with the way he explained what he found and what he was doing and his professionalism throughout. He is a credit to his organisation.

I wanted to book a car for 3 weeks starting and ending at Tampa Airport, Florida. With AutoEurope it was very easy - put in the location, dates and times and a range of cars and prices comes up. Foolishly, I closed my freezer drawer with the fast-freeze flap open, breaking the flap's hinge.

After a web search, I found this company and identified the required part from the make, model and part number on the broken flap.

I odered the part on Thursday and the correct part was delivered on Monday morning. It was easy to fit and my freezer is as good as new again.

I wanted wine from a particular South African estate. Robertsons had one varietal at a sensible price but not my favourite merlot. I contacted Jamie to see if they could get it before Christmas, who tried but unfortunately they couldn't, so I ordered my second favourite. It was delivered a few days later double boxed with each bottle individually bubble-wrapped. Excellent and very safe. I'll order my favourite when it becomes available.

I had raised a complaint with 3, my mobile phone operator. I had to chase them every month, each time raising the same issues with promises of resolution which never happened. After 6 months I lost patience with them and discovered how to access the Ombudsman. I raised my complaint and was contacted by the officer allocated to me. He explained in detail the process that would follow and any further actions required of me (none!). The next working day I received an offer from 3, which I accepted. I just wish I had involved the Ombudsman earlier.

I ordered a car hire in Florida for this year (2022). The price was much lower than any other available and I was concerned that it would be repudiated when I tried toi collect the car (from Budget). In fact, all went extremely well, with little attempt to upsell any extras.

I was so impressed that I have just ordered another car for my 2023 holiday. The price was again very competitive and the process very easy.

I am visiting the USA. I have spent ages trying to find out from O2 how much it costs to receive a text in the USA from the UK. I cannot find any relevant information on the site to help me. What a waste of space they are!

I ordered a 1p sim because I was travelling to the USA. Normally, I would buy a local sim from T-Mobile or even a phone + sim from Tracfone, but 1p do not gouge the cost of calls either within or to/from the USA.

The sim arrived within a few days and worked (in the UK) on an old phone which I keep because newer phones can't run some of my favourite apps. This phone has never worked with US sims in the USA.

Once we landed, we could switch phones on and it immediately picked up a network. I have made some calls and they went through without any trouble at all. Yesterday I made a 7 min 30 sec phone call and was charged £0.75 - they didn't even round up to the next minute as many do.

I'm very pleased with the servive from 1p and will stay with them after my return.

I needed a test for a holiday in the USA. Dam Health were the cheapest on offer and had a test centre in my local town, so I went to see them. The staff explained the process, so I booked my test for the day before my flight, with a promise of results within 2 hours (a lateral flow test).

I turned up on the day, filled in the form and was tested within a few minutes. The test was quick and painless (both nostrils, no throat). It seemed that I had barely left the centre when I received a text with the results, fortunately clear.

Well done for a quick and efficient, not to mention cheap, service.

I wanted a small gift to reward a team who did a very good job for me. Drinksupermarket offered bottles of wine for a good price and I ordered a box to be delivered to their office. Although delivery was scheduled for the end of the week, the wine was delivered the following day and the team were delighted. A good job all round.

I inherited a house with a long-term tenancy. When it became available to put on the market, I investigated several agencies and chose Foxtons Blackheath branch. I met Emi Mustafa, who kept encouraging me during problems which arose whilst terminating the lease. When it finally became ready for the market, we agreed an asking price taking into account its need for modernisation. He and Sam McCabe arranged viewings within days and, despite its condition, obtained offers well in excess of the asking price. We agreed which buyer to proceed with and they kept on top of the process throughout. As I live some distance away, Sam in particular was great at checking on the property for me. He was also very professional in taking care of all the little details raised both by me and the buyer, guiding us to exchange and completion of the sale. A very professional team.

I've been with Avro for 4 years and they are consistently the best supplier for price and service. My contract is coming to an end so I tried to renew but couldn't on the website. I rang the service number and spoke to Carl, who was able to resolve the problem very quickly and set up my renewal. All now set up for another year.

I had been thinking of replacing my 6-year old laptop for a while. However, the screen hinge broke a week ago, so I had to move quickly. A search showed that many sites had increased their prices by ~£100 (virus?) but Box had a suitable product at the same price as 2 months earlier, so I ordered it at ~ 11 p.m. on Thursday night and paid £5 for early delivery. The order was despatched on Friday and delivered on Saturday, earlier than expected. I had a small panic because after placing the order I noticed that the photos of the laptop on the site showed a US keyboard, but the delivered laptop was to full UK spec (including the keyboard). Well done, Box, for an excellent product at an excellent price with excellent service.

The website has a forum for technical questions and support and questions on e.g. specification are answered very quickly. After much consideration I ordered a laptop on a Friday afternoon. The ordering process allowed me to choose my own specification. Once ordered, I could follow the manufacture on their web page, including who built it, tested it, QCed it and packed it. It was shipped the following Thursday afternoon and delivered on the Friday, exactly a week after ordering. It was exactly to the specification I ordered. A great machine for a great price from a great company. I'll probably order my next PC from them too.
