Booking the services of a plumber was quick and efficient through the office and I was given a choice of appointment time and chose 10:45 the following day. The receptionist (Louise) had a very good telephone manner - friendly but at the same time professional and was very customer oriented.
On the appointed day the plumber phoned about 9:45 to confirm if he could come early because his previous job had been quicker than anticipated.
On arrival the plumber (Alan) immediately started to investigate the two problems I had explained, a leak under a wash basin and a toilet flush that was not working.
The toilet flush issue was quickly diagnosed however fixing it was going to take longer since access to the cistern was very restricted.
Alan and I agreed that he should dismantle part of the wood panelling that enclosed the cistern and pipes. This was carried out carefully and giving thought to restoring the panelling when the work was finished.
Once the flush mechanism was accessible Alan attempted to fix the fault but finally decided a replacement was necessary and would need to be ordered.
Throughout his time on site Alan communicated clearly the issues he found and what he was planning to do next.
Alan explained what would happen next in terms of ordering a replacement part and described certain options which we discussed. He left the site safe and tidy but in a condition ready for the eventual repair.
