The installation team was early, worked diligently, and did an excellent job putting in my carport. The only unfortunate issue was the language barrier. They did not speak English, and I do not speak Spanish. It just kept me from being able to fully express my gratitude for a job well done.

The purchasing of the carport went fine. Waited longer for the install appointment than I thought I should have. Was told one thing and another happens. 1 to 2 weeks ended up being 4 weeks. The install went fine until the inspector failed the install. I received zero communication from the carport Co as for the next steps. I had to do all the checking and double checking. I was even asked to send pictures of the install and the problems. Thought that was a bit much to Ask the customer. Still zero communication from the carport Co. I had to talk to American steel. Carport Co was pretty silent after I paid. The issue was finally taken care of by the installers. Needed more anchors. Apparently they did not follow the install directions that were provided to me for the inspector

As soon as I was made aware of the issue, I worked directly with the manufacturer via phone and email, both with the engineering team to identify the root cause (some anchors missing), and with scheduling to get a repair lined up. I made sure to CC you on those email communications so you had full visibility into every update and next step, though I realize the overall process and waiting on the crew was still stressful.
Asking you for photos was the fastest way to pinpoint the exact issue so we could get the installers back out to resolve it, but I recognize that handling that yourself was an added burden.
I truly appreciate your patience throughout the process and thank you for allowing the installers to return and resolve the anchor issue. If there is anything else I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

4 times rescheduled and nothing
I placed an order with carport co. On December 12th of 2025. Brody told me my carport would be installed on the 3rd week of January of 2026. I got a message from Susana a couple of days before my scheduled installation that they couldn’t install my carport because of the weather. I said okay I completely understand. Susana told me approximately in 2-3 weeks they would install my carport. 3 weeks came by and Susana told me they couldn’t come out because of the weather I said “okay”. I live in Iowa so I know it can get cold here. Susana then told me she wasn’t sure when they could come out but that she would send me a message. Approximately 2 weeks later she sent me a message saying that the guys will come on a Saturday. Friday came and Susana sent me another message saying that the guys weren’t going to come because their van broke down. She rescheduled my installation to Friday the 6th of March. I said okay it’s not like I can do anything about it. Thursday came and Susana then told me that the guys were not coming and that someone from the crew was going to call which they never did. I’m still waiting on the call from one of the guys from the crew. I will be leaving this review until they actually come and install the carport but as of right now I am very upset. This type of behavior is super unacceptable.

The installers did come today 3/12/26. They did install what I ordered. The only reason why I’m leaving 3 stars is because of my experience otherwise I would give Brody 5 stars because he actually did help me out.

While weather delays in Iowa during winter are sometimes unavoidable, I understand that four reschedules, especially with the van breakdown and missed communication from the crew created significant frustration and uncertainty for you. Carport is a great business to deal form purchase to completion
Carport is a great business to deal with. The three man work crew arrive at 11:30am and started straight. . to work. I showed them where to install the 14x35x12 carport. They truly worked as a team and at 3:15 we walked around the finished carport. The entire work site was clean.

Good choice, with caution
Brody at The Carport Co is easy to work with and provides great customer service, and I recommend using them. I have a couple of reservations about the Eagle product they sell though. Eagle seems to use steel that is the lightest gauge within the specified range, and my installation experience wasn't great. But, if you're mindful of these things and very attentive during the installation, you'll enjoy the end result.
