The product I received from Nicole's Coastal Botique in Nantucket, MA ( after several weeks of waiting), was not the product that was was advertised. Instead of being light weight linen it is very cheap polyester material and extremely poorly made. I was offered a 10% refund to keep the product or mail it back with very high return shipping fees. I gave it one star only so that I could write this review, it does not deserve any stars, so beware, do not order from this company!

they will NOT honor a return and make it incredibly difficult to do. The clothing is sub-standard in quality. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing from them. Never again...beware!

The material composition of the dresses I ordered was not at all like on their websites. When I contacted customer service about a return, I discovered the company is based in China. They offered me a 10% discount if I kept the dresses and stated that customers are responsible for paying international return shipping costs. The return process was complicated and filled with obstacles, making it nearly impossible to complete without spending more money than the dresses were worth. As a result, I accepted the 10% discount, even though I will never wear these dresses.
The quality of the material was extremely poor and felt very cheap. Shipping took nearly 3 weeks, which makes more sense now that I know the items were shipped from China.
I would never purchase from this company again, and I would strongly advise others to be cautious before ordering. Based on my experience, the products did not match my expectations, the return policy as frustrating, and the overall customer experience was very disappointing.

This is not a quaint boutique in the a Northeast town. This shoddy Chinese clothing. It is not hassle free return- and you need to pay international shipping

My apologies to The Coastal Boutique. The review below was meant for Harper & Lily’s Coastal Boutique.

This company is a rip off, plain and simple. The photos look great but it’s nothing like what you’ll receive. I ordered a dress with smocking on top and a ruffle around the bottom. When the dress arrived, it had absolutely NO smocking and no ruffle. It was a straight dress that was about five sizes too large because it had no smocking. In dealing with the company, they wanted me to pay the return charges or they’d give me 30% off a new size. A new size for what???? A dress without smocking??? This is a sham company. Don’t be drawn in by the pretty pictures. I’ll never order from them again.

I have shopped at this boutique a lot. All of her pieces are good quality and well priced. The owner is extremely helpful and very friendly. I have returned items due to fitting issues and found it convenient and fast. This is a hidden gem in the boutique world I would highly recommend.

I placed my order March 27th, 2026.

Today is May 29th, 2026 and I still not have received my items.

I have emailed them at least 15 times and get the same BS answer that my order is “in transit”.

This company is a SCAM!!!

I don’t see where they are domiciled in the United States.

I would definitely consider this company a scam. According to their page they are from Nantucket,MA which is not true. Try located in China. Using THEIR size chart I ordered 2 dresses. Took almost 3 weeks to arrive. Both dresses were 2 sizes too small. I tried to return them as their site said 30 day returns. They offered to send a bigger size, however, I said the dresses were needed for an event long before they could arrive from China. At this point they offered a 10% refund on $100.00 of clothes. I ended up ordering the larger size and paying an additional shipping charge. Buyer beware!!!! If you try to leave a review on their page you don’t have that ability. Sad to say it was a lesson learned on my part.

The shirts I received hardly resemble the ones I ordered. Cheap fabric, the stitching looks like it was done with a child’s sewing machine and the tread was a different color. When I tried to return they offers a 10% refund and wanted me to keep the shirts. I refused and they offered 20%. I refused so they offered 30% and explained I would have to pay shipping to China that would be between $40 and $60. I accepted and learned a lesson. They did refund 30%

I usually check Trustpilot when ordering from a store I'm not familiar with. I forgot this time. The dress was as listed, but the material is all polyester. They were accommodating when I wanted to return, even offering me 20%. When I declined, they gave me an address in China to return the product to. I took the 20%. I doubt "Nicole" is "Nicole".

I ordered a dress 2 weeks ago just received it! Also, just found out this store has nothing to do with Nantucket! Or New York! It came from China!
The quality and material is awful!
I am trying to return and first they offered me 10% refund, then 20%!

This store operates a fraud. The shirts I ordered were advertised as Cotton and Linen, but were cheap polyester when they arrived. They represent themselves as being in Nantucket (complete with photos of a fake store,) advertise "no hassle" returns, but, in fact, their merchandise comes from China and it costs a fortune to return, IF they even ultimately let you have a refund/return. It took more more than two months to get the refund I requested and that amount was less the $50 it was going to cost me to send the shirts back to China. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE!!!!

The website states that the blouse i bought is 100% cotton and linen. That can’t be farther from the truth. It is cheap polyester rayon. I should’ve checked reviews before buying this product. Don’t buy from them.

Cheap crappy clothes from China. The dress looked like a plastic cheap material worth 5 bucks … do NOT order this is a major scam company prying online to sell cheap clothing marketed as nice quality clothes.

I ordered a dress in March. I fell for her story and ordered a dress. I put it on Facebook to support the small business. Never got the dress and I cant find a phone number. Now I am out of $70. It wont let me put the actual date I ordered 3/27/26

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I fell for a scam. From an ad on social media. I ordered from their website and it appeared the items would ship from Washington. But no…. They shipped from China. The items were nothing like presented online. Nothing. Crap. Polyester. Horrible quality. And not cheap. I wanted to return them for a refund. They offered me a discount of 10% to keep them. When I said no thank you they upped it to 20%. No thanks I won’t wear the clothes, please start a return and refund. Then I received an email telling me where to ship the clothes at MY expense. And they offered me a 30% refund which I am taking. But I am going to post everywhere I can as a warning. This should be illegal.

Clothes not as shown in advertisements. Return policy is a nightmare. If they don’t fit, expect to pay $30 to $40 in shipping to return to China. You can take the final 30%, keep the poorly made items, and kiss off the rest of the money. SCAM

This review is about an online company called Nicole’s Coastal Boutique (Nantucket). BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT CONFUSE THEM WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY WITH A SIMILAR NAME. Their advertising suggests that they are a boutique in Nantucket. They are not. Their website is well designed, but do not be fooled. In reality, this is a sham. They are most probably shipping directly from China and have long waiting times. Their customer service emails are sugary and sweet and obviously written by an AI tool. I am still waiting for my clothes, which I suspect will be cheap versions of the lovely clothes displayed on their web site.
