I would have liked some information regarding how the new colour Kobo worked, as it seemed to be different from the B & W. However, I think I have it sorted out now. Otherwise, both it and the... See more

Love the ease at downloading books from the site and especially enjoy the Kobo+ membership.
Love it so far!
Long time user
I have had a Clara for years and started to have a few issues and decided to get a new Clara. I love the new one as I also got the remote page turner and love it! And as always I am grateful to be able to use it with my local library.
Great reader
Great reader, very nice interface. easy to use and accepts all major ebook file types.
staff were very helpful.
My Kobo Libra Colour is incredible
My Kobo Libra Colour is incredible! Just to note, I did get the device from JB-HIFI, this is a review of the product, not the direct purchasing experince.
I got the Libra Colour with official stylus case and stylus! I absolutely love the colour and ability to annotate! The ecosystem is very side loading and library friendly as well!
The device is super light and I LOVE the buttons! It makes one handed reading so easy!!
Great Reader.
I had the Kobo Glo before getting a Clara Colour. The screen is larger and the colour highlighting is great. Enjoy reading with this e reader. Would recommend it highly.

I had high hopes for this e-reader
I had high hopes for this e-reader, and was very excited when I ordered it. I received it and went to set it up, but soon discovered that it wasn’t compatible with my 5 GHz WiFi network. I called the company, and a nice gentleman told me that, no, it won’t be compatible unless I downgrade my network to 2.5. Can’t do that, since we use our network for work, and need it to be fast. So disappointed!!! I returned it. Too bad this info isn’t made plain on the website!

WARNING. DON'T BY A KOBO IF YOU'RE IN THE UK.
WARNING. DON'T BY A KOBO IF YOU'RE IN THE UK. All I can do is give you my experience of attempting to move from a Kindle to Kobo.
Firstly, I attempted to purchase a Kobo Clara from their website (or should that be webshite!). Repeatedly I kept getting the message 'it looks like you're in the UK, press the link to go to the UK website' - but I was on the UK website, but I pressed the link anyway, and guess what, it took me to where I already was. Nevertheless, I attempted to purchase the Kobo reader, every time I went to a new screen the same message popped up, ie, 'it looks like you're in the UK ......'
Eventually, I gave up. I lacked the confidence to proceed any further, so I bought the Kobo reader from Amazon. It was Tuesday and I selected Thursday for the delivery date, I wasn't in a rush, but I'm glad I did this because on Wednesday, the day before the delivery, I decided to create an account with Kobo and then purchase a book, just to make sure that there's no issue with Kobo. All this attempt did was prove there is a major issue with Kobo - I couldn't purchase a single book from their webshite, I made 4 attempts! It wouldn't let me make a purchase of my first book.
I then cancelled my order with Amazon, thankfully I did this just in time, Amazon cancelled the order before delivery.
I'm truly shocked at the incompetence of this company. Firstly, their incompetence on their webshite to sell me the product, ie, an ereader. Secondly, their incompetence to even sell me a single ebook. This is staggering and shocking to me. How a company can behave in this way, evidently showing their incompetence to carry out their core duty of selling ereaders and even just selling a single book. How is this company still in business?
From this experience, it doesn't surprise me that Amazon has 80% of the ereader business.
If you're still considering Kobo, do what I did before purchasing one of their readers, ie, create an account and then try to purchase an ebook. Pick a cheap ebook, mine was Crime and Punishment for £1.99. Maybe this works for you, but, if like me, you have the issues described above, then stay away from Kobo and stick to Amazon.

Switched from Kindle and couldn't be happier...
Switched over from Kindle paperwhite to the Clara BW and couldn't be more satisfied, one month in. Great for one-handed reading, and fit well in my average human sized hands. The font/spacing and other settings are also a nice feature. Shipping and delivery from Rakuten was solid too.
Really enjoying being a library patron again through Libby and Overdrive. So long, Bezos!
Not well integrated with Libby
I bought the Kobo to replace an old Kindle. I liked the idea of avoiding Amazon but downloading from Libby is still a two-step process. Kobo has added a Libby search layer which limits search options to only a few barely useful categories. If you don't know the title or author of the book you want to read, you still need to search on a computer and then download to the Kobo. Also the Kobo is so small that you are turning pages ALL the time. A slightly larger format would have been better from my perspective. Other than that it is a reliable e-reader.

Although the company reaches out and…
Although the company reaches out and the product is excellent, I was disappointed that I couldn't get a rebate. I had bought my Kobo shortly before the sale. It was not economical to return the Kobo and purchase it back.
The kobo is a great eReader
The kobo is a great eReader! Its easy to use, no slimy ads, nice interface. Overall a really nice device and the website is easy to navigate as well!
Kobo have advertised the new Clara…
Kobo have advertised the new Clara Colour as repairable. Nowhere stocks the screen for this new model the N367B. False advertising.
Opted for free trial: Didn't work
Opted for free trial. Unable to access audiobooks online or in the app. Constantly driven to buy overpriced titles.
A big disappointment.
Cancelled in reocurring frustration.

It doesn't work with my eReader. No refunds
It says it works on my ebook but it was not true. It has some kind of protection and it doesn't work on kindle. Of course they say in their legal terms no refunds because the useless protected file has been downloaded.

Returns, huh? Not worth the time it takes.
There is no DIY option to return something, instead you have to get on a chat that takes FOREVER. I gave up a few times, and my final time it was well over an hour. Absolute nonsense.
