Incredible theme park

Incredible theme park. Thoroughly recommend to anyone - even if you're not keen on rollercoasters, you could still visit and enjoy everything else this place has to offer. The most key thing to mention is the vegan options. The Spices restaurant is fully vegan, Bamboo Bai offers a vegan option, Jack's Deli has vegan sweet & savoury options including a delicious chocolate muffin. Lots of other on-site eateries have either a vegan burgers or schnitzel. If you return to the park at night when the rides have shut, you can access the hotels for dinner/drinks. The buffet inside Hotel Colosseo offers amazing vegan curries and chinese-style dishes with fake meats, and the Pizzeria offers vegan cheese on any pizza. Don Quichotte goes TEX-MEX inside Hotel Andaluz offers an amazing burrito or burger.

Disappointing & Racist experience

Disappointing and Racist experience, particularly the treatment from staff

I spent three days at Europa-Park with my six-year-old son after travelling from the UK, and unfortunately the experience left both of us feeling that we would not return.

My son is disabled and receives UK DLA, so I contacted Europa-Park before travelling to make sure I understood their accessibility arrangements. Despite following the advice I was given, our first morning was unnecessarily stressful. His documentation was initially questioned at the entrance, despite me showing staff my correspondence with the park. Once it was eventually accepted, we were told to “go to France” to collect his Green Card, with no proper explanation of where in France we needed to go. We spent around 45 minutes trying to find the correct place.

I emailed Europa-Park at 9:44am that morning asking for assistance. Our three-day visit has now finished and I have still received no response.

What made the experience worse was that this wasn't the only poor interaction with staff.

At CanCan, we followed the disability-access instructions we had been given, only for a member of staff to shout at us because we were apparently in the wrong place.

At WODAN, I greeted a staff member before explaining that my son had an accessibility pass. She ignored my greeting and then interrupted me to say, “You start with hello.” I had already said hello.

At Crazy Taxi, we watched other guests remain seated and ride for another cycle. When my son and I tried to do the same, we were immediately told to leave. The guests who had just been permitted to stay were white; my son and I are Black. There may have been a reason for the difference in treatment, but nobody explained one, and after the other interactions we had experienced, it left me extremely uncomfortable.

I also injured my knee on GRAND PRIX EDventure, resulting in significant visible swelling, and was surprised by how little concern was shown or assistance offered.

The poor communication continued right up until our third day. A woman at the entrance became argumentative with me over our third-day ticket and repeatedly insisted that I “should have known” when I needed to arrange it. This was particularly frustrating considering I had actively sought guidance from Europa-Park throughout the trip and my original email asking for help still hadn't even been answered.

There were rides we enjoyed — WODAN in particular was excellent — but a theme park experience is about far more than its rollercoasters.

What bothers me most is that my son noticed the way I was being spoken to. A six-year-old should be thinking about rides and having fun, not noticing that his mother is repeatedly being treated poorly. By the end of the trip, he was unhappy about what he had witnessed and doesn't want to return either.

For such a large international resort, I expected significantly better customer service, clearer disability-access information and, above all, basic courtesy.

Unfortunately, the negative interactions with staff overshadowed the parts of the park we did enjoy.

We won't be returning.

“Petite France

“Petite France? More like Petite Feline Cuisine.”

I made the daring decision to order the Kalbsgeschnetzeltes mit Spätzle, expecting a comforting German classic. What arrived looked less like something from the Alsace region and more like it had been scooped straight from a can labeled “Gourmet Cat Delight.” The Spätzle had the personality of boiled shoelaces, and the veal… well, let’s just say it had the consistency of mystery meat and the visual appeal of something my cat would turn her nose up at.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to eat something that both looks and tastes like pet food—this is your chance. A truly unforgettable culinary experience, in the same way that stepping on a LEGO is unforgettable.

One star, but only because zero isn’t an option. At least the chairs were comfortable while I questioned my life choices.

Accident at Rulantica (Europa Park)…

Accident at Rulantica (Europa Park) attraction
On February 21, 2024, around 6:30 PM, I went on the Vildfal attraction in Rulantica, Rust, twice. I was almost the only person on the ride. There are two tunnels—first, I took the red one, then climbed back up to try the green one. On my second go, during the initial drop (right after the platform opened), I felt an unusual jolt. Afterward, I noticed a strange grinding sensation in my teeth. When I reached the bottom, I saw that a piece of my upper left front tooth was missing. I immediately reported this to the Red Cross. My daughter witnessed that my tooth was damaged after the slide. Additionally, my activity was recorded using the magnetic wristband. I followed all safety instructions before, during, and after the incident. This was a closed slide where you stand alone on a platform that drops, triggering the slide. I trusted Rulantica's facilities and went ahead. When I exited the slide, I realized one of my teeth was broken. They rejected a fair settlement of the dispute and did not want to hear anything from me, saying that they passed all security tests etc... I was a big fan of Europa Park since I am 8 year lod but I will never go back again to either Europa Park or Rulantica. I will seek reperation for the physical and moral damages to court if necessary.

Europa park is huge and offers…

Europa park is huge and offers something for everyone, some amazing shows although they are only in German or French. We did find mostly, though it didn’t matter not knowing the language as the focus was on what was happening rather than it needing explaining.

There’s a lot of cobblestones which means navigating in a wheelchair can be quite difficult. When busy as well unfortunately people don’t tent to move so it can feel incredibly frustrating. Food offerings were plentiful, though getting pfand back as cash when you’re paying everything with card means you end up with change you don’t need or want. They have automated machines just be nice if it gave you a card refund as we saw at Efteling.

WATCH OUT! UNSAFE PRACTICES

Great park with great offering but a terrible problem with queue jumping! Staff don’t care to help and have a rude manner towards you when you do bring it up.
We had issues with staff members putting their hands on us without our permission to move us forcefully which we found rude and inappropriate.
MOST IMPORTANTLY the operator of the new Voltron was asleep while operating. When reporting this to higher management we were met with a ‘you can’t prove this’ ‘I don’t care attitude’
We visited 30th June 2024 and we were on the ride at 18:11 when we noticed the operator asleep at the panel! An absolutely shocking thing to do when you are in charge of people’s safety on a high tech ride.
We expressed all our points to Europa before leaving and was insisted we would get a response in a few days from them regarding the lack of safety. Nearly a week on and we have heard nothing!

LOOVEEE

LOOVEEE! we drove all the way from England to come here and loved it. The theming is gorgeous just as good as Disneyworld, the Greece section is beautiful! The rollercoasters such as Voltron, silverstar and blue fire were INSANE best rollercoasters I’ve been on. The pirates ride is the absolute best themed ride it’s amazing. The shows such as the Spanish show, funny library and the ice skating shows are well worth watching even though not in English obviously. A couple of the kids small themed rides such as piccolo mondo are appalling don’t bother with that. Food is fine but mostly burgers, could do with more veggie options. We visited on a Sunday and Monday in June and never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride, used single rider for the rollercoasters. The thing that makes it not so magical is the staff are quite abrupt and rude. Overall loved it, definitely need 2 days there I would say.

Voltron’s isn’t worth it

So first things first don’t go to Voltron. We were waiting almost for 1,5 hours in sun and after another hour they’re saying that theirs is issues with the roller coaster. We came here like at 11:00 and now we’re waiting in line for almost 2,5 hours. It’s not worth it.

It was awful

It was awful, the people were very unpleasant to be with. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a park as this. I really had a hard time enjoying my holiday in this park. I am never going to come here ever again. The park itself is not very flattering, there are some places that are acceptable and durable. But It's really not worth the trip let alone the money.

Vandalism to my family car.

We enjoyed the day for the most part. But highly displeased and disgusted to return to my vandalised car in the 'secure' parking lot that I paid 8 Euros for. Key scratches from front to back and repeated the scratches across the door and front fender. No reason for it.
