I sincerely hope no one has to fly condor ever again

1 star. On 24 September 2026, DE2097 from San Francisco to Frankfurt was delayed and I missed my Frankfurt–Vienna connection. Condor knew in advance that this flight would be delayed, yet did nothing about it.

In Frankfurt, passengers were simply told to rush to the gate. We rushed there, only to find the aircraft had already departed, with no explanation at all. Imagine it: after a transoceanic flight, you run to the gate and find the plane gone, and then you have to go back to the Condor counter and queue inefficiently for over an hour.

Passengers heading to places like Rome or Vienna were the lucky ones — we were rebooked the same day. Many other passengers could not get a flight that day at all. Almost the whole flight was left queuing, waiting for Condor to deal with them. Everyone's rights were harmed, and Condor simply did not care and gave no compensation.

Even if there was some cause for the delay, that does not make this reasonable. Knowing in advance and doing nothing, giving no clear explanation, and making no proactive effort to make the experience better is unreasonable. Condor basically gave up, refused compensation, and failed to deliver what it promised.

My EU261 claim was then denied with a single vague phrase — an "unforeseeable incident" — with no incident identified, no evidence, and no explanation of how it caused the delay. I have asked Condor to provide the evidence. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I hope no one in the world has to fly Condor ever again

NEVER AGAIN

I had specific dietary requirements (allergies) and asked a member of the company how to make sure I could have a meal I could eat (on a 12h flight!!!). They told me at check-in, so withing the 24h FROM the flight. I find out there is no way of doing it at check-in and immediately contact costumer service. They tell me I had to do it minim 24h BEFORE the flight. I explain I was provided wrong information by the staff. They apologize and say that NO FOOD will be served in compliance with my allergies and that I would thus have to buy my own food and ask for refund. I bought my own food and asked for refund. refund was rejected.

The level of incompetence is embarrassing. The lack of attention and care for their passengers is embarrassing.

Dulcis in fundo: they hacked the system and probably got out data. Great.

I wil NEVER fly with them again. No one should.

Ps. My partner could eat the food served and said it was the worse food ever. He actually felt a bit sick after ...

Condor - Avoid at all costs!

Recently I flew out of Frankfurt to Vancouver -- or so I thought!

After checking in, I proceeded through security and passport control as expected. While we were en route, the border police closed one of the checkpoints, forcing all passengers, domestic and international alike, through the additional single passport control area, unique to the EU. The resulting line took approximately three to four hours to clear, and as a direct consequence, I missed my flight.

When we contacted Condor Support team, we were told that the delay was not Condor’s fault and that we would have to pay a change fee of $788 per person. One top of that they would not even return us to our original destination. We were given no alternatives and were told to either accept that option or forfeit our travel entirely.

A delay caused by an airport-wide closure, entirely outside our control, should not leave passengers facing punitive fees and an inadequate rebooking. You would expect better from an airline, and their staff, that aspires to be a major airline!

When I reached out to Condor they have basically ignored me.

Zürich Switzerland to Larnaca,Cyprus…

CONDOR flight Zürich Switzerland to Larnaca,Cyprus and back October 26 in business

flight to Cyprus
+ friendly staff
- the sink in the business had no water to wash hands, just desinfectant
- no online flight information available

flight to Switzerland
+ quite friendly staff
+ information of a 30 minutes delay at check in
- after boarding had to wait for another 1 1/2 hours before take off in the plane
- throughout the whole flight there were people standing in a line from economy for the business toilet and my husband had their … just in front of his face. I had to wait for 10 minutes to get a „slot“ to go to the toilet… when asking the crew why there was no curtain to separate as usual, they said that the curtain was damaged… why there was no announcement about that?
- no live inflight information
- no possibility to move the back of the seat a little
- very little space when the tablets are out…
WE DIDN‘T PAY FOR THAT, THAT‘S NOT BUSINESS

Fair compensation in the end — but payment took 7 weeks and a conciliation filing

Our Condor flight from Gatwick (July 2026) was cancelled by SMS three hours before departure for “operational reasons.” The rebooked flight then departed late, so we missed the onward connection Condor itself had booked us onto, and we completed the journey by rental car at our own cost.

Credit where due: when I claimed under EU261, Condor’s claims team reviewed it fairly and confirmed in writing the full compensation plus our extra fuel costs. No quibbling over liability.

The payment stage let them down. Over seven weeks I chased by email (no reply) and three times via their WhatsApp support. Agents confirmed my bank details were on file, confirmed no payment had been sent, called the situation “unusual,” but could not provide a payment date. The claim portal also couldn’t find our booking (made via an online travel agent), and the published customer relations email address bounced.

I eventually filed a free conciliation request with Schlichtungsstelle Reise & Verkehr (the German ADR body). Nine days later, Condor paid in full — and fairly, including refreshment costs from the disruption.

Advice for other passengers: claim directly (no claims agency needed — they take ~35%), keep every email and screenshot, and if an admitted amount goes unpaid, the conciliation body costs nothing and works.

Three stars: the claim assessment was fair and the final settlement generous, but getting a confirmed amount actually paid shouldn’t take seven weeks and a regulatory filing.

Worst airline. I book tickets and then add on baggage then condor cancel that baggage because it was cheap and charge me 3 times the amount at the airport. Never book this airline pay 50 dollars more and get any other airline.
I hope this condor go broke.

Poor customerservice

We had booked a flight with a layover, and I called customer service to make sure that our luggage would be automatically transferred to the connecting flight.

The person who answered my call, was a man who spoke very quickly and had a very strong accent. He asked for the flight number, but I only had a reference number from a travel agency, which consisted of letters. I provided the letters, and he proceeded to repeat them using the NATO phonetic alphabet (I figured this out only after asking him to repeat himself several times). He spoke very rapidly and with the aforementioned accent, making it simply impossible for me to keep up—which I told him. He immediately replied that if I couldn't understand him, then we couldn't continue the conversation.

I tried to get him to repeat it more slowly, but he had evidently taken offense; he started repeating that *he* didn't understand what *I* was saying. I am an English teacher. I am perfectly capable of understanding English spoken with a wide variety of accents and I also have various commucative skills, but I have never used the NATO phonetic alphabet before (aside from the Bloodhound Gang).

While I can easily think that he should go "Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo" himself, I was still shocked by his abysmal service. I can't help but wonder: what if I had been someone with limited English proficiency, or an elderly person who struggles with hearing or keeping up with fast-paced conversations?

It was a rude and inhumane customer service experience over the phone.

Extremely disappointing customer…

Extremely disappointing customer service – zero flexibility, even in medical circumstances

We have just arrived in Frankfurt after a long-haul flight from Bangkok, with a connecting Condor flight to Hamburg scheduled for this evening.

Due to a medical condition affecting my leg, my doctor specifically recommended that I travel with my leg elevated. For this reason, we purchased Business Class upgrades for both passengers for our entire journey home, with the costs covered by our travel insurance.

We arrived in Frankfurt at approximately 6 AM and approached the Condor service desk to ask whether we could take the earlier 10 AM flight to Hamburg instead of waiting another 10 hours at the airport.

Despite explaining the medical circumstances and the fact that we had already paid for Business Class, Condor refused to change our tickets unless we purchased completely new tickets for both passengers.

We were not asking for a refund, an upgrade or special treatment. We were simply asking for some flexibility in a documented medical situation.

I fully understand that airlines have ticketing rules, but there is a significant difference between following company policies and providing genuine customer service.

What disappointed us most was the complete lack of flexibility or willingness to find a reasonable solution.

Instead, we are now spending 10 hours waiting at Frankfurt Airport with an injured leg.

Business Class prices, but certainly not Business Class service.

Based on this experience, I would think twice before choosing Condor again.

They do not disclose how much…

They do not disclose how much "rebooking allowed with a fee" costs during the booking process.

I mean, if it's 3000 USD it's as good as "not allowed", so not displaying that clearly like most airlines, is not only illegal but dishonest.

One of the worst airline experiences…

One of the worst airline experiences I’ve ever had.

On October 8, 2026, my partner and I travelled with Condor from Rome to Cancún via Frankfurt.

Our booking through Flightnetwork already included checked baggage and cabin baggage. However, before departure, we discovered that our prepaid baggage allowances were not correctly reflected in Condor’s system.

We spent considerable time contacting both Flightnetwork and Condor trying to resolve the issue. I also paid €69 over the phone for an additional 5 kg of baggage allowance, something I had originally tried to purchase online.

Despite our efforts, we were forced to pay approximately €600 more at the airport in Rome for baggage that was supposed to be included in our original booking.

And after all that, neither of our two checked suitcases arrived in Cancún.

As of October 11, both bags are still missing, with no confirmed location or delivery date.

What makes this experience particularly frustrating is Condor’s customer service.

I’ve contacted them repeatedly, asking whether our bags were ever loaded in Rome, where they were last scanned, and which ground handling company was responsible.

Their response? They cannot access that information, cannot contact the baggage department, cannot escalate the case, and simply tell us to keep checking the same online tracking system.

Even identifying the company responsible for handling the luggage has been left to us.

Meanwhile, we’ve had to purchase replacement clothing, underwear and toiletries, and my essential work equipment is still inside one of the missing bags.

When asking about reimbursement, Condor again directs us to a complaint form, with an indicated processing time of 4–6 weeks.

I understand that baggage delays happen. What I find unacceptable is the complete lack of meaningful communication, accountability and assistance when something goes wrong.

We’ve spent significant additional money, lost access to our belongings and wasted hours trying to get answers that nobody seems able to provide.

Condor accepted our baggage, but when it failed to arrive, we were effectively left to investigate the situation ourselves.

I expected far better from an international airline.

I cannot recommend Condor based on this experience.

I will update this review if our luggage is returned and our reimbursement claims are resolved.

⭐ 1/5

⭐ 1/5 — Condor Business Class: An Expensive Disappointment and Absolutely Unacceptable Premium Service

My wife and I flew Condor Business Class on October 9, 2026, after booking through American Express Travel. I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing premium airline experiences I have had.

We paid a substantial premium for business class, expecting comfort, priority treatment, professional service, and an experience that justified the higher ticket price.

What we received was anything but premium.

Priority boarding was practically meaningless. Condor assigned business-class passengers to Zone 1, but economy passengers were also boarding in Zone 1 at the same time. There was no meaningful distinction or organized priority boarding process.

After landing, things were no better. We waited on the aircraft to disembark, received no meaningful priority as business-class passengers, and were then directed to a bus transfer with other passengers.

The business-class cabin itself was disappointing. The seating was uncomfortable, and the overall experience did not feel modern or luxurious.

What frustrates me most is the difference between what passengers pay and what they actually receive.

When an airline charges several times the price of an economy ticket for business class, it should deliver more than just a different seat. Premium travel should include better organization, comfort, service, and attention to detail.

I have flown with other airlines that operate much smaller aircraft yet manage to make premium passengers feel valued. Condor failed to do that.

My wife and I documented our experience with photographs, videos, and audio recordings.

Afterward, I also read numerous public reviews from other Condor passengers describing concerns about business-class seating, priority services, customer service, and complaint handling. Those reports are troubling, although I can speak firsthand only about our own experience.

My conclusion: Condor’s business-class experience did not justify the premium we paid.

I booked through American Express Travel expecting a quality premium product, and I am extremely disappointed.

I will be formally requesting an explanation and appropriate compensation from Condor and assistance from American Express Travel.

My recommendation: Think very carefully before paying a substantial premium for Condor Business Class. Based on our experience, I would not choose this airline again.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars.

One of the Most Disappointing Airline…

One of the Most Disappointing Airline Experiences – Absolutely Unacceptable Service

My experience with Condor Airlines was absolutely unacceptable. After a nine-hour flight, I can honestly say that the lack of comfort, poor customer service, and rude attitude of the cabin crew left me extremely disappointed.

First of all, my seat was broken. I had to ask the cabin crew two or three times to address the problem, yet they showed little to no interest in helping me. It was only after I became frustrated and spoke more firmly that anyone finally took the issue seriously. Having to repeatedly ask for basic assistance is unacceptable, especially when you are pregnant and need to be as comfortable as possible during a long flight.

What made the experience even worse was the lack of basic comfort. There were no blankets or pillows provided, and even headphones had to be purchased separately. The aircraft was extremely cold, so I asked whether an extra blanket was available. Instead of responding politely, the crew spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner, telling me there were no extra blankets and that what they had was all they could provide.

I was already wearing warm clothes and doing everything I could to keep myself warm, yet I was still freezing. I was pregnant, sitting on a nine-hour flight, and simply asking for a blanket. Apparently, even a basic request like that was too much to expect. The lack of empathy and the way my request was handled were deeply disappointing.

The food options were also extremely limited unless you were willing to pay extra. While I understand that additional services may come at a cost, the overall experience felt like passengers were expected to pay more while receiving less in terms of basic comfort and service.

The biggest problem was not simply the lack of amenities; it was the attitude. Things can go wrong on a flight, but the way a company treats its passengers when problems arise says everything about its customer service. A broken seat can happen. Limited supplies may happen. But ignoring repeated requests for assistance and responding rudely to a pregnant passenger asking for a blanket is a completely different matter.

I was not asking for luxury, special privileges, or unreasonable.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience flying with Condor Airlines. Unfortunately, the service and treatment we received throughout our nine-hour flight were far below expectations.

First, my wife’s seat was broken. I asked the cabin crew two or three times to come and fix it, but nobody took the issue seriously until I became frustrated and had to speak to them in a firmer tone. Only then did they finally come and address the problem. This was particularly upsetting because my wife is pregnant, and I expected the airline to show more care, understanding, and consideration.

Second, the food options were very limited unless we paid extra money to access other choices. I understand that airlines may charge for certain services, but the overall experience felt disappointing, especially on such a long flight.

Third, despite the flight lasting nine hours, we were not provided with basic comfort items such as blankets, pillows, or sheets. Even the headphones, which I would normally expect to be available on a long-haul flight, had to be purchased separately.

What disappointed me most was the lack of attention and the way the cabin crew handled our concerns. I should not have to ask repeatedly for help with a broken seat, especially when travelling with my pregnant wife.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I expected much better customer service, comfort, and professionalism from Condor Airlines.

I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves its service so that other passengers do not have to go through the same experience.

I would appreciate a response from Condor explaining how they intend to address these concerns.
