Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 1,429 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers are heavily frustrated by continuously rising subscription costs, unexpected price hikes, and strict viewing restrictions. Reviewers additionally pointed out poor video quality, annoying advertisements that disrupt viewing, and a severe lack of engaging new movies or reliable customer support. Some reviewers were happy with the streaming service, noting a great collection of shows, smooth video quality, and plenty of entertainment options available to watch in the evening. Other customers mentioned that the platform works well for watching diverse programs and enjoying family time, despite the widespread pricing and technical concerns raised by the majority.

Netflix are proper turd and arrogant

Netflix are proper turd and arrogant. Taking stuff down they know you want to watch because they believe like a supermarket shelf it creates renewed interest. It doesn't and no one likes a supermarket moved around. Pestering you with "Are you still watching?" And then they have the audacity to increase prices. Just do what I do. Pay £18.99 for 4 months out of a whole year. They have some reasonable content and a lot of turd. Ive just bought myself a new dvd player. Going back to the old ways very soon!

I have a very expensive membership with Netflix already at 23.00 a month which highway robbery. This company is constantly trying to stick an extra member fee to me over and over again. I watch at home and at work which is my right to use my account where ever I choose and desire. So every time they detect a different IP Address they make you jump through hoops to "confirm" you account and sometimes will not give you the option not to choose to add an extra member to your account at 8.00 per month. They are crooks and thieves. I need away to make that stop . There should be a class action law suit for trying to coarse people into unnecessary membership fees. I would join that lawsuit if it was brought.

They keep updating so I cannot watch netflix on my old iPad. I also now can't watch on my desktop, which has an old version of Windows so I can't update the browser. (I keep an old version of everything so I don't have to buy a monthly subscription to MS Office.)

I downloaded my 15 episodes to watch on a long coach trip followed by a long haul flight only to find there was nothing there when I went to watch on the coach and I am now left with nothing for the flight. This also happened to my niece last month. Customer service said it was because I turned the tablet off and they haven't seen this before and can't help. They can't reset my downloads either as they dont have access to the system. Utter appauling service

Ripping off customers starting to notice

They raise prices and saving money, but ripping you off on picture with bitrate. Always blocky in good moments. You better off getting physical disc for a better price and getting ripped off my poor picture quality they cheap out on. Looks like they switched to save more money but decided not to benefit customers by giving better bitrate for better picture quality. Didn't realize, I thought it was my wifi then I got fiber in town and image still did it. Netflix should only be like 4 dollar a month app with poor picture boxy artefacts.

Misleading Marketing Regarding the 7-Day Free Trial

The 7-day trial offer is misleading.

I was charged immediately after signing up for the trial, and the charge was not refunded, even though I cancelled the subscription immediately through Apple Subscriptions.

I only used Netflix for approximately three hours before deciding that it was not worth the cost for me, as I rarely watch movies or TV series and mainly watch documentaries. I provided screenshots of both the trial offer and the order confirmation as evidence.

I also contacted customer support twice to resolve the issue, but I have not received any response. Given that I cancelled the subscription almost immediately, I believe the charge should be refunded.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience – not worth the money

I can’t even stream videos on my own device, in my own apartment, using my own Netflix account. Instead, I’m being forced to limit the use of my membership to a temporary 14-day period. I’m paying for this subscription, yet apparently I’m not allowed to use it normally on my own device. What a rip-off.

Even when I was still able to use my subscription without these ridiculous restrictions, Netflix constantly bombarded me with mindless TV series recommendations. I don’t like TV series and have never watched a single one on Netflix, yet the recommendation system apparently learned absolutely nothing from my viewing habits.

A paid streaming service that restricts legitimate customers while simultaneously failing to provide even remotely relevant recommendations is simply not worth the money.

Tried Netflix and jettisoned it.

Having tried Netflix and discussed their products with friends the experience has been totally negative. Apparently they are about to launch a remake of the Damned United which will do nothing for their credibility not to mention casting Stephen Graham ( with a funny wig) who risks his whole reputation in this fictional farce cast as a twenty something footballer.

The Whisper Man - Give it a Miss

I've just watched The Whisper Man. I've got no idea what was happening, because most of it was filmed in the dark. In addition to the rather stupid scenes of a police officer, who together with a large number of other officers, is conducting a search. The police officer calls for back up and then starts a search of the upstairs of the house with the suspect.
Despite the fact she was not the only one conducting a house to house search in the area, no police arrive.
A potentially excellent film trashed by pretentious cinematography and some absurd scenes. If you want to avoid disappointment and frustration, I strongly recommend you to give this one a miss.

Netflix used to provide new shows and new movies here more than any other app but it went downhill not only that I kept on paying for a subscription for my kids and family members along with myself cuz we all loved it but now they don’t care…. Idk I looked for a movie actually movie(s) that google still says they provided but they don’t was super sad to not see that movie today.. Any way my point is do better or keep losing people up to you cuz this is dying and it is your own fault Netflix
