We think the high street and expensive designer brands give consumers a raw deal. That's because everyone along the way takes a cut, from agents to landlords. And you - our discerning customer - pay for that cut. So we're making a stand: taking on the high street to offer you original furniture design at affordable prices. Here's how we do it differently:

Poor customer service, Horrible quality

I purchased a sleeper sofa. It arrived with split wood on one of the legs. Instead of replacing the item, they sent out a stroppy repair man. He attached the leg back into the damaged wood and called it good. It wasn't until we had guests that we knew the leg was collapsing under the weight of a small adult. So we paid £500 for a broken sofa bed. I will never purchase from them again.

I bought a sideboard cabinet for nearly £500. Just a week later I found the exact same item on La Redoute for £330. I only discovered this because I started receiving marketing emails for the identical product from Made, La Redoute and Next.
What I found even more concerning is the lack of transparency in the ordering process. I received my proof of purchase from Made, my delivery notification came from La Redoute, but the payment was actually taken by Next. When I called the customer service number listed on the website, the call was connected directly to Next. This is extremely confusing and misleading for a customer.
I contacted customer service to ask for a refund of the price difference and was told they could not do this because they are a "branded company". How is this possible when it is clearly the same product being sold across all of your connected companies at vastly different prices?
It feels like one big scam and a very unfair practice.
I paid a premium price and feel completely misled. I would give 0 stars if it were possible. Customers need to be careful and check prices before buying from this group.

Faulty items

Horrible quality, I bought a lamp from them, it arrived faulty, they sent a replacement and it is again faulty. The fact that they don't bother checking the items they send is ridiculous. It also takes ages to get a response from customer service and they took 2h in conversation to arrange a replacement for it to then arrive faulty too

Good aesthetic, awful quality.

Sofa looks great but after less than 4 years we’re looking to buy a new one as it’s so uncomfy. Foam has gone flat and feathers have clumped together (looked inside and feathers are mixed with fibre meaning they stick together and thus aren’t able to be plumped anymore?? I used to be an upholsterer and I’ve never seen that before) so you can feel the frame under you. Wasn’t cheap either.

Really unhappy

Really unhappy, ordered through made.com without realising that Next have taken over Made. I was charged £4.95 delivery when I already subscribe to Next delivery service and all orders are fulfilled by Next. No notification came up on made.com to notify me. I've now paid unnecessary postage!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I put an order that was supposed to take 8 weeks, suddenly it was 16 weeks and a month after they went bankrupt. I did not see any penny back. All of their furniture comes from Asia, with low quality and 5x more what it was supposed to cost.

Multiple "Cancelled" Orders with No Communication

What is going on with Made these days? They were always my favourite homeware company as I love their designs. However I recently order a bathroom light that never arrived. After giving it a few extra days, I contacted them and they said it was lost in transit. I said ok, and they put in another order for me. Then the same thing happened again - the delivery date came and went with zero communication. I contacted them again and they said the order was cancelled because the light "might" have been damaged in transit. I admitted defeat and requested a refund. What is going on? Are they quietly cancelling orders and hoping people forget about them? After reading other recent reviews it seems this is a common problem. Maybe Made should be investigated...

I really wish I could give zero stars…

I really wish I could give zero stars avoid it like the plague as another person mentioned literally a living nightmare dealing with them .
Don’t make the same mistake as I did, I spent a fortune on a sofa which collapsed after 2-3 years though came with a 10 year warranty and collapsed after 2-3 years. What a joke. 10-year warranty? Joke. The sofa collapsed after just a few years — no repair, no replacement, no support.”
2. “Next now owns the brand and refuses to honour old Made.com warranties. You’re on your own if it fails.”
3. “Expensive sofa, ruined in record time, and a useless warranty. Don’t waste your money like I did.” I’m left with a ruined sofa, no repair, no replacement, and zero accountability. This is a complete scam on long-term customers. Do NOT buy from this brand if you expect any support when your furniture fails.

Lesson learned the hard way !!!
Might I add their customer service is appalling even a bot can show more empathy than they can.

Still don't have my order

I ordered a side table and a lamp, both due to be delivered on a Monday. Neither did.

The side table arrived a few days late, but the lamp - a week past the delivery date - still hasn't arrived.

All I've had from Made/Next is a reply email from their AI assistant to say "We’re sorry to let you know that the item(s) below are still delayed." with no specifics or actual reason, and one from a real person to say "I have checked your order status and see below - these has been packed at our warehouse but not out for delivery yet." which was not very helpful.

Really disappointing, and at this point not entirely sure it's going to arrive.

Advised of phantom cancellation. No goods avoid.

I recenty orderd a lamp shade from the company, the shade was not delivered by Evri on the proposed date, i gave it five days before a raised the issue. Two days later the company contacted me and advised that someone had cancelled the order. Complete lies from the company. Currently i am sitting £ 50 poorer with no lamp shade. They advised to order another one, they must be having a laugh. Avoid at all cost.

A deeply upsetting bin

We bought the 2 Section 60 Litre Recycling and Waste Colter Bin in Terracotta - by far the most expensive AND most useless bin I've ever encountered. Despite the overall bin being fairly large, the 2 compartments individually are way too small for any household's average rubbish/recycling. We're a family of 5 and have to empty the bin twice a day. You can only fill each compartment 3/4 too, because the 'convenient' metal handle on each side is a nightmare when you're trying to tip out the recycling or take the bin bag out. There's no feature for holding a bin bag in place either, so it just falls into the bin like a sad, horrible ghost and rubbish gets everywhere. I can only assume this bin was designed for purely ornamental purposes or simply to make our lives worse by eldritch horrors from the pits of hell - its one redeeming feature is that it does look nice (but has 0 convenient features). I'd recommend this bin if you A) live on your own B) are a family of tiny elves with a really big kitchen or C) never create any rubbish of any kind and want a nice looking bin-shaped object to store things in or just exist emptily in your house. Maybe you own a bin museum or something, I don't know. Other than that, don't buy this bin - it's extremely upsetting to be around.

Faulty, poor quality wardrobe

We ordered a Oak Effect Zeke Triple Wardrobe, this item was supposed to take 45 minutes to build and it took over 3 hours (we aren't bad at DIY either and have lots of experience!) It didn't feel worth the expensive price tag, didn't have holes where screws were supposed to go and the doors do not align. They are sending a specialist to try and fix it (if this is successful I will happily remove the review but having seen other reviews I feel this is probably unlikely). They have offered a replacement but this item was 130kg and I live on thew 4th floor of a building without lifts so it was a struggle in the first place and this was not an option. They won't even let you directly review the products which is very shady. We have ordered from them previously and were so happy which is why this has been so frustrating. Don't recommend the product and don't recommend the company.

Incompetent customer service

We ordered a sofa and footstool from Made.com and waited over 5 weeks, only to be told our order was cancelled due to supplier issues. The only option was to re-order and wait another 8 weeks, with a token £50 compensation offer – completely unacceptable given the delay.

We decided to cancel and go elsewhere, but getting a refund turned into a nightmare. We had to call multiple times just to get the refund processed, and even then, they only refunded the sofa, not the footstool or delivery cost.

Even now, we still need to chase them up for money that’s still owed to us for the footstool and delivery charges.

Having just moved home, this was the last thing we needed – phone calls, poor communication, and no accountability. Made.com has caused nothing but stress and inconvenience.

Would not recommend.
