I ordered a dress in an XL and collected my parcel from the store today. When I got home, I discovered I’d been sent the wrong size. To make matters worse, the dress appeared to have been used ,it was dirty and didn’t even have a tag attached.

I contacted customer services, and they initially offered to send a replacement, which I appreciated. However, when I asked for it to be delivered to my work address (an address already saved on my account that I’ve successfully used for previous orders), I was told I would have to enter my credit or debit card details before they could dispatch the replacement.

I explained that this address was already on my account and had been used before, so I couldn’t understand why my card details were suddenly required just to correct their mistake. Despite this, the adviser insisted it was the only option.

Being sent the wrong item is frustrating enough, but then making it difficult to resolve an error that wasn’t my fault is unacceptable. The whole experience has been incredibly disappointing, and unfortunately, I won’t be shopping with them again.

Had to return a couple of items to Next yesterday and despite the shop being practically empty of customers and the girl behind the till having nothing to do, she insisted I did the return myself on the terminal at the end of the counter. Has customer service completely died? It would seem like it.
