Products always missing crucial information
Next really needs to step up their game in today's competitive e-commerce market. What they are relying on right now is an extremely outdated product index system, and an indiancall center who don't know much about Next's products, let alone advise you on any questions you may have. If you ask any question that goes beyond the non-existed product description, they will just tell you: Sorry this is all the information I have. For example, is it too much to ask them to put the correct shoe size information for sock products? But no, it's either no information at all, or the size you see in the drop down menu is clothes size. This is just a very dire situation for a business that is doing fairly well in the UK, but failed to provide the fundamental information about products and customer service here in Europe. You've got great products Next, but you really need to start addressing the lack of crucial product information!
Not recommended!
Returning items is extremely frustrating. You have to chase everything up yourself because the customer service team doesn't take the initiative to get things moving. I won't be ordering from them again. On top of that, the customer service team's tone is rather unfriendly! Definitely not recommended!
Writing 100% cotton on materials
Writing 100% cotton on materials.
In description under more info - it only contains 80% cotton and 20% plastic.
This is misleading and i cannot recommend a company that do false advertising
⭐ 1/5 – I would strongly advise against ordering from Next if you live in Spain
Unfortunately, my experience with Next has been absolutely unacceptable.
I received a faulty pair of trousers that became damaged after just ONE hand wash. Next accepted the return and confirmed to me in writing that they would reimburse the return postage from Spain.
Customers in Spain should also be aware that returning an item to Next in the UK is very expensive – my return postage cost almost €30.
I paid these costs upfront because Next explicitly assured me that they would reimburse them. That should have been the end of the story. Instead, it turned into an exhausting process.
I returned the faulty item, sent Next the postage receipt and tracking information and then had to make an international phone call from Spain simply to provide my bank details.
I did exactly what Next asked me to do.
Afterwards, I was told that something had apparently gone wrong with the reimbursement. I contacted customer service repeatedly, filed a formal complaint, and was told that the case had been escalated to a manager and that I would be contacted.
I even provided specific times when I would be available for their call.
Still no reimbursement and no proper resolution.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that I am in the later stages of pregnancy and have spent an unreasonable amount of time chasing Next over almost €30 in postage costs for returning THEIR faulty product.
A customer should not have to send repeated emails, make international calls, provide bank details and chase managers simply to receive a reimbursement that the company has already agreed in writing to pay.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise customers in Spain to think twice before ordering from Next. Returns to the UK can be expensive, and if something goes wrong, my experience shows just how difficult it can be to get the issue resolved.
Good customer service is not demonstrated when everything goes well. It is demonstrated when something goes wrong – and unfortunately, that is exactly where Next has completely failed in my case.
I would not order from Next again based on this experience.
I will update this review if Next finally resolves the matter.
Really slow order process 4 days and…
Really slow order process 4 days and the order process has not even began. No order confirmation email nothing. Make sure you create an account and choose the correct language to view your order history because you can only view it in your country's languague otherwise it will be blank
Terrible customer service
I ordered a vase on May 25, and the order email said it would be delivered on June 1. It's now June 23, and it never shipped, and I never got any updates.
The first time I talked to their customer service via chat, the rep couldn't give me any info about a ship date.
Today, after I kept asking, the rep eventually determined that it would be back in stock on July 8. When I asked for the third or fourth time what the ship date was, the line went dead.
After that, the rep did call me, but demanded that I go through a complete security check before she revealed the date. (She didn't have a good explanation for why she didn't believe it was me, or why the ship date was such a privileged piece of information.) Since I still thought this might all be a scam, I told her I'd log in and cancel my order--and of course I never got an email confirmation of the cancellation either.
This site is a joke!
I've ordered here for the first time
I've ordered here for the first time. Shoes that were on sale for €40. 4 days after delivery was due, i contacted them to ask the current status as the trackinglink still mentioned 'being processed by the sender'. I was +20 minutes on the helpdesk with someone who couldn't find the order after providing all my details multiple times. After the person asked my emailadress for the 4th time, i closed the chat out of frustation, and went in again, with the hopes receiving a competent helpdesk worker. This time they found my order, and it was 'lost in shipping', despite tracking still stating it is being processed by the sender and didn't reach the shipment trajectory yet. They would refund me. The shoes are still in stock but now more than double the price. My hunch is that they cancelled the order. I've filed a complaint with their complaints department, received a mostly generic pr email back. There was a discount offered of 15% on my next order, but i first had to provide my banking details, since i ordered with a 'third party' paypal. I've responded with the question what the likelihood is that we can work something out that i can order the 'lost' shoes again at the initial pricepoint, since under normal circumstances i would now be the owner of those shoes at that pricepoint. They gaslight me ever since. First and last. If u are from EU, and u like a product from them, i'd recommend ordering through Zalando. Their direct service is subpar even Aliexpress.
Drop shipping with bad return policy
Ordered 2 pairs of jeans and a set of tank tops and paid 250 dollars. The clothes I received were NOTHING like in the pictures and I mean NOTHING. They were way too big , horrible in color, and very very cheaply made. I would have liked to return them but to send them back to the UK within the 28 days stated on the return policy would have cost me 250. Had to donate the entire haul. This is a drop shipping site. They are based in the UK but the clothes are made in Bangladesh. Do not make the same mistake I did.
I shopped at the Swedish department…
I shopped at the Swedish department which first off on the particular item, a bodysuit - had a price difference of €58 in Sweden vs €26 in the Netherlands. However I can not order from NL as they require a local phone number (which is against ECC regulations). Therefore I just accepted how it was as I could not find the bodysuit elsewhere but once I received it and checked the size and quality of it at delivery I noticed white stains in the gusset, secretion stains as if the item was used... Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. All they could do was ask me to send the item back and have to wait 14 days until a full refund is processed with a 15% discount on my next purchase OR keep the disgusting used item and get a 30% refund... Not the way to treat your customers after already robbing by charging so much more for living in another EU country.
4 failed return collections
4 failed return collections ! I had a failed return collection with Evri, I called Next and they scheduled for the next week, same thing happened again so next arranged another collection, that’s 3 with Everi! I called again and this time they said they will arrange with parcel force, once again another failed collection! I called next and the advisor stated that they could see a followed up call but no booking for collection? Absolute joke! That’s 4 wasted days of waiting in and now they’ve arranged another pick up with Royal Mail so collection number 5! I am not in the least bit happy, they have compensated me but it’s not enough and I still have the returns waiting.
I recently placed an order with Next.nl…
I recently placed an order with Next.nl for a JoJo Maman Bébé maternity dress (€87) and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
When the item arrived, it still had a price tag attached showing £55, which is significantly lower than what I paid. This was confusing and felt misleading as a customer.
In addition, the dress arrived heavily creased and wrinkled, which did not meet expectations for a new item.
I contacted customer service to clarify the pricing discrepancy, but received only generic responses referring to pricing policies and terms and conditions, without directly addressing the issue or offering a resolution.
Overall, this experience has been frustrating — not only due to the price difference, but also the lack of clear and helpful support.
I would appreciate this being reviewed and resolved appropriately. I am happy to provide full order details privately if needed.
Absolutely stoked with the order…
Absolutely stoked with the order process and super fast delivery. Couldn't believe it that the kids shoes arrived from London UK here in NZ in 9 days! Very satisfied with the transparency and no hidden extra costs with tax or anything. Definitely going to order more regularly if shipping stays this affordable :)
chandelier delivered twice WITHOUT ANY FITTINGS
I have ordered a chandelier FREYA EASY once and after complaint again - it has has been delivered WITHOUT ANY FITTINGS, just the shading made of glass, even after my clear description on what was wrong. So I have invested my time and I received just frustration and anger.
the support team solving claims via email is helpful and efficient but buying such an easy product is a real nightmare, and would never ever repeat my experience
Very happy!
I wanted to make this review as there are a lot of bad ones here and when I first was looking to order I was definitely unsure on if I should do it based on these reviews, but as a very tall woman it is so hard to find tall clothing so I decided it was worth the risk. My experience was great! My order came in a week to New Zealand (and a day earlier than estimated) and my trousers are really nice!
Never again !
Ordered from their web site.. it would change the size after paying. Immediately called and they said they would cancel. They never cancelled and sent items anyway.. Called back they said to decline the orders. Delivery company took back and Next USA claimed they never received returns even though tracking number showed they did receive returns. Next USA would not rerun my money. Almost $1,000 ! Disputed with my credit card company. Took almost 3 months. I would not recommend or suggest ordering from this company. It was my 1st and my last.
Packages not delivered
This concerns the delivery of packages to Belgium. Despite repeated complaints to Next, the company continues to use the local carrier DPD who does not carry out its tasks of delivering the packages. A disgrace and sadly this puts me off from ordering again.
Don't attempt a return
Returns are on your own dime and if they lose your package it's also on you.
Next's system had a "glitch" where my package was never marked as received, so when I returned my order they did not process the return and it was lost. Now I am out the amount of my order plus the shipping I paid for my return.
What a waste of time
What a waste of time. Paid over €200 for goods and after 2 weeks eventually all goods cancelled and money returned. What a disappointing sad excuse for an online service, Next you should be embarrassed by how rubbish you are. Should have read these reviews before wasting my time ordering goods. No reason given for the cancellation. Oh and they've kept hold of the 1.95 delivery charge. If you do that for every customer then you soon make some money. Its a shame because we love Next UK and were really looking forward to receiving these items.
Perfect Process
I saw a pair of boots i liked and since i didn´t know the site I came to check on Trust Pilot.
The rating was very poor but I decided to go ahead anyways.
The order arrived in 3 days. Very satisfied with the process.
They positioned themselves as Canadian…
They positioned themselves as Canadian company, but they are in Europe, and the price does include already Customs Fee. I got a pair of Pavers shoes with the price tag of 22.00 Euro, but I paid CAD 95 + $10 delivery. If I bought it on the Pavers website I would pay GBP20.00.
Also, you can return shoes, but you need to pay shipping, and shipping to UK is over $40.-, not worth it.
