What's happened to this company?

I used WooCommerce on my last website. It did its job. My new website has been on hold for going on 8 days while I wait for someone to respond to my support ticket. I got an email from its marketing department asking how my experience had been with the person assigned to my ticket. The ticket that no work has been completed on. When I tried to click the Not Good icon to respond to the marketing department, it took me to a Page Not Found. I can't make a cent until this problem is resolved and this is the company that handles my income. 😢

I honestly don't what all the one-star…

I honestly don't what all the one-star review users are talking about. Many of them mention Woocommerce subscriptions. The base version of Woocommerce is COMPLETELY FREE. You can run a fairly large online store with JUST the free version of the plugin. There are also dozens of very capable FREE plugins that work well to extend the functionality of Woocommerce.

My guess is that most of the one-star reviewers are very inexperienced web designers or developers or business owners with no prior web or ecommerce experience. I've developed dozens of ecommerce stores for clients and experienced virtually NONE of the issues that the one-star reviewers list. I've also used other e-commerce modules and plugins, from Shopify, Magento, Wix and Ecwid.

All of the e-commerce solutions listed work fine. BUT Shopify is a PAID option vs. the GPL FREE nature of Woocommerce. Magneto has a free open-source version but most people use Adobe's version which is paid. Ecwid is free for up to 100 products. Wix is paid for using a third-party payment processor. All work but all are limited compared to Woocommerce's extensibility.

To run a Woocommerce store REQUIRES web development know-how. A novice cannot setup and run a store and maintain it without running into technical issues. A pro can. Even Wix, which is pretty straightforward works way better for someone with technical know-how and previous ecommerce development experience.

Don't pay attention to the one-star reviews on here. They are inexperienced users that aren't able to navigate the technical challenges inherit in running ANY ecommerce venture. For those saying FREE software should be easier to use or claiming Woocommerce is charging them subscriptions...they don't know what they are talking about.

I've found Woocommerce to be the easiest, most flexible, most extendable e-commerce solution available. Shopify is great, but customizing it is WAY more difficult and expensive than customizing Woocommerce.

Shop Page Not Displaying Products

What is happening to WooCommerce in 2026? :(
My website does not display the product on the shop page anymore, even after specifically and manually choosing a shop page with the URL /shop/
And this is happening to a lot of my websites, not just one, as I am a WP developer.

Please Fix This

Astronomical fees for Unbelievably bad service and delivery!

Unbelievably bad service and product/plugin delivery!

I had an issue with the Stripe/WooCommerce connection (stuck in a loop, unable to connect one account with the other), meaning I was unable to process ANY payments. After 7 days of suffering a business-critical outage, I had to pay someone independently to address the issue, which they did within 15 minutes.

These guys charge astronomical fees for annual 'support' on GPL-licensed plugins. I shall never again pay them a penny, and I would advise all to do the same - if something goes wrong, they're simply NOT interested - I guess this is what happens when you monopolise the WordPress Ecommerce scene.

ZERO customer support

The product is okay, but there is zero in the way of customer support. NOTHING. Other than AI or "self help" links. And these are not always relevant.

I have received an auto renew notification, which I wanted to cancel. There are no options in the subscriptions section, and the advice given by AI is simply wrong. The steps is recommends are not available. Neither is anyone to speak to.

Infuriating. These technology businesses fail to appreciate the value of PEOPLE. I have wasted so much time trying to sort this out and made no progress. I'm sure that a brief phone call with someone could have sorted it out.

Stop being greedy and actually offer some service.

Clunky, Inconsistent, and Too Developer-Heavy

WooCommerce might look appealing at first, but it quickly becomes a headache. The interface is clunky, behavior across plugins is inconsistent, and payment delays are far too common. Support rarely helps directly — you're usually sent to documentation and left to figure things out yourself. Unless you're ready to play developer every time something breaks, this platform will test your patience. It’s powerful, yes — but far from user-friendly.

The best platform for our online store!

We've been using WooCommerce for our online store for over three years, and it's been an incredible experience. The platform is so flexible and powerful, allowing us to customize everything from the look and feel of our shop to the way we manage inventory and process orders.

The best part is how easy it is to use. Setting up our store was straightforward, and adding new products is a breeze. We've also been able to easily integrate various plugins for things like email marketing and shipping, which has really streamlined our operations.

Plus, the community support is fantastic. Whenever we've had a question, we've found the answer quickly through forums or documentation. If you're looking to build a professional and scalable online store, I highly recommend WooCommerce. It's the perfect solution for businesses of all sizes.
