Prima service, prima communicatie

We had a pleasent purchase from Montel Den haage, Megastores.
Patrick Alsemgeest wonderfully and professionally helped and explained everything about sofa set which we purchased and clearly explained each and everything about the quality, price, colors and delivery.

Bought a couch 10 months ago. It broke after 6 months and I am now left with a broken couch in the house because no tel takes ages to repair it.
They just sent this random external person (non montel) to repair or take the couch for repair, but he only came to look at the couch and confirm it is broken.
Now who knows when they will pick it up.
Bad quality.
Bad service.
Don’t buy montel.

My first call they hung up on me when i asked if they spoke English. Terribly rude !
However the second lady was very helpful and pleased with her service.

The entire process from selecting a design, finalising a fabric as well as the posture for the couch was smooth. The product was delivered within the promised date and with quick installation.
Highly recommended!

Delivery was Amazing! The company as a whole is wonderful and I would definitely buy from Montel again.
The reason for the missing 1 star:
Finding somone at the store to purchase the sofa was hard even though the shop was empty. We waited 20min for somone to ask if we needed help and then we went around looking for somone so we could place the order. In addition, the wait for the sofa was almost 4 months but they did deliver in the week they promised so that speaks volumes about this company!
Overall the experience was flawless, once we found somone to place the order.

I recently experienced buying a couch from Montel based on recommendation of one of my friend. I am pleased to share that my experience was wonderful, especially Luka @ Montel Cruquius was very helpful, supportive and customer focused. We had a bad situation where we purchased one couch and when we shifted it to our apartment, we came to know that couch doesn't fit in the elevator due to length issue. Luka was very kind to facilitate us in a way that she took the couch back and let us choose another one! which was fabulous and a great relief. I am grateful to Luka for her kind gesture, which speaks high of her professional and customer centric approach, I definitely recommend the readers to make purchasing from Montel based on my experience. If you happen to visit Cruquius market then do visit Montel they have great deals and offers on showroom models and they do not charge for visit :-)

4 stars only because of the length of time to wait. It does not diminish my choice in having a Montel furniture. Quality for the right price!

Firstly, the only good news - customer service in the store was fine. However, terrible customer service afterwards.
My story? Well the filling in both the seat and the back has deteriorated after only 18 months in a couple of places. A 2200 euro sofa should not do this. Montel were slow in calling me back and slow replying by email, but that's ok during Corona. They sent someone to take a look who agreed it didn't look right and would report it to the manufacturer and let me know what the next steps would be. But later I received an email saying "the decrease in fillings is within the allowed margin" and nothing more to be done. Case closed!
How can a business NOT try to work WITH the customer to resolve the issue? I am so furious to be treated like this. I am now looking to take further action with De Geschillencommissie.
Please spend your money elsewhere. Montel do not want to fulfill their guarantee obligations. There are plenty of other sofa companies in this country. You have been warned!
UPDATE - the reply from Montel makes sense as they are not willing to see my point of view. They have made it clear they are not going to change their mind and we certainly do not want to hear that again over the phone. I will be submitting my complaint to De Geschillencommissie.
